"Unless you are bitten by an Alpha," Alex's gaze shifted to Karenina and his eyes narrowed down in suspension.
"Actually I bit my lips while talking, so it will probably heal in a few hours," Romeo quickly lied, as he touched his swollen lower lip. "The bleeding has stopped, it's just dry blood clotting on the wound, haha."
Alex looked at him with not 'convinced' face but decided to let it go. Whatever he was imagining is impossible! Why would Karenina bite on Romeo's lips? He's like a guardian figure to her.
Managing a smile, Alex laughed off and started talking with Romeo about his days on the campus and how Karenina was doing in academics.
While Karenina maintained distance from Romeo as to cause Alex to doubt her again. It will be a big issue if her cousin finds out about her relationship with Romeo. She refused to sit next to Romeo and instead sat with her cousin.
