While the three of them were still reeling from the myriad of feelings they were experiencing, Patty decided to drop another bombshell on them.
"Just like with Andres, if you all do a good job, then I will reward you with another coupon. With this coupon, you can redeem 10 carrots or 100,000 Chains as compensation."
Getting a Teqx was already more than they could have asked for. Getting their dream Teqx was unbelievable. And being able to eat 10 of those magical carrots that defied what they knew about cultivation was like winning the lottery.
Then, they come to find out that it wasn't the end. If they do a good job, then Patty would give them another coupon that they could use to get another 10 carrots?! That was insane! Not only that, but they could also become obscenely rich with that amount of money!
And even though for them, 100,000 Chains seemed like a lot, if every conglomerate or company in the entire world found out about the efficacy of the magical carrots, they were sure that they would offer billions if not millions of Chains just to get one of those carrots! But still, for people like Andres and the interns, 100,000 Chains was a life-changing amount of money.
They couldn't even begin to comprehend how much money Patty had if he was able to give out 100,000 Chains just like that.
Of course, they didn't know that Patty only had 2 million Chains in his bank account. However, Patty was thinking of the future. In just a few days, Achram would be back in the mountains carrying tons and tons of high-quality Kores! All Patty had to do then was to transfer them into the real world and Andres and the others could deliver them to Leonard.
If Patty rewarded them well, then they would work even harder to make Patty's life so much easier. They would make sure with absolute certainty that the high-quality Kores would be delivered to Leonard's doorstep.
At that point, Patty would become millions upon millions of Chains richer, all while being in the comfort of his own home.
And, he was sure that Andres and the others would always choose the Yi Power Carrot over the money. He could see the longing they had for the feeling of Yi Power coursing through their body and improving their cultivation in mere seconds.
They yearned for it so much that they would probably do things for Patty even when he didn't ask for it.
"Sir Patty, thank you. You have already given us everything we have ever wanted, but you are still giving us so much more than we deserve." Andres bowed his head and the rest followed suit.
Patty didn't think it was such a big deal. He didn't do much for them. He could give them all the carrots and Teqx they ever wanted as long as Patty could do it in the comfort of his bed. If they asked Patty something as simple as 'take out the trash', then Patty would curse at them and refuse their request.
As long as Patty could be lazy, he could give them all the rewards they would ever need in life.
"It's nothing," Patty said. "By the way, what do you guys think I should do with my house? I kinda want to renovate it with something a little more lazier."
As soon as he said that, the rest of the interns and Andres all looked eager to give out their ideas.
"I think that we should increase the defenses of your house," Andres suggested. "It's far too easy to get in and out of the house. Who knows what kind of villain would come here and ambush you."
The rest of the interns concurred with Andres' suggestions. Now that they knew how much their lives were going to change because of Patty, they wanted him to live forever. If he could live for years and years while giving them things that improved their cultivation at genius-level speeds, then they would do anything to keep him safe.
"I think that we need a CCTV system all around the perimeter of the house. It must have Teqx power detection, movement sensors, weight detectors, and all of those things," Dom said.
"Yes. But we also need firepower to ward off those unwanted visitors. I suggest that we install automatic turrets and electric fences. It also wouldn't be bad if we put some pressure-induced mines all around the house," Jorn added.
"That's all good, but you're all missing one important aspect. Dreamers. Some Dreamers could bypass all those securities without even leaving a single fingerprint. I think that we need more metaphysical and supernatural sensors and defenses installed all around the house." Even Roni was enthusiastic in the brainstorming session.
However, the man who started this thing, Patty, was disinterested in all those things. What he wanted them to think of was automatic house cleaners or maybe even an automatic cup noodle maker or something. He just wanted his house to cater more to his lazy preferences. It would be nice if his bed was automatically cleaned and arranged every morning.
"No, guys. I don't need all of that. It's too much."
Andres immediately thought of his conversation with Leonard. He forgot that Patty was the leader of the Aezure company, a collection of people with the express intent of starting a revolution.
From Leonard's point of view, the Aezure company was laying low and gathering their forces. They would continue to operate underground until they had enough power and resources to topple the whole system of the world.
To do that, Patty needed to stay low-key. Adding turrets and electric fences around a small house would attract unwanted attention. The fact that Patty's house was unassuming was working in their favor to stay out of the spotlight. They needed to keep that ruse.
"He's right, guys." Andres addressed the new interns. "We can't do all of that."
He hadn't told these guys about the Aezure company yet. But now that they finally signed the contract and had proved their fierce loyalty to Patty, then it was time for them to know the real truth of their business.
Andres signaled all three of them to huddle close together to him.
"I'll give you guys a budget of 1,000,000 Chains to renovate my house, okay?"
Patty saw them do this and was too lazy to find out what they were talking about. He simply just continued watching the television. They would be in charge of renovating his house, and joining their brainstorming session was far too mentally taxing.
"Sir Patty is currently involved in a revolution of global capacity….
Andres finally revealed everything he knew about the Aezure company to the new interns.
"Wow…I thought he was already generous…but to think that he wants to topple the companies and organizations of the world…"
"My respect for him grows even deeper. We all felt the injustice of companies like the Ruobber company which treated us interns as nothing more than slaves. It's about time that they faced a behemoth like Patty and made them realize that us lowly people could make them bleed."
"I will do anything to further this cause. I understand now why you don't want Patty and his organization to stand out. It's better if we keep our defenses low-key for now."
Now that they all understood the stakes, Andres felt his shoulders lighten. He no longer had to carry all of this burden by himself because he had three other people help him. All of them were deeply loyal to Patty after everything he did for them, meaning that they all had the same goal in mind: keeping Patty safe and letting him flourish.
"So, here's my plan…" Andres said as he laid out his thoughts with the other interns.
Jorn nodded his head. "I think that's good."
"That allows us to keep Patty safe and remain under the radar," Roni agreed.
"That's all and well, but I think that it would be better if we had more help," Dom said.
Andres agreed too. It would be better if they had an army of interns willing to sacrifice their lives for Patty, but that would take too much time. They needed to first find more like-minded interns who were fed up with normal companies and internships. They needed to make sure that those people coincided with the ways of the Aezure company and the revolution they were going to make.
"Yes. That's a plan for the future," Andres said. "For now, we are in charge of everything."
The three of them all held out their hands in the middle and affirmed their plan. With everything set, they only needed the express agreement from the man himself, Patty.
"Sir Patty. To keep you safe, we'll have to keep the whole place under surveillance every day. And for that, we'll have to live near your house."
"For that, we need 1 million Chains to buy the apartment beside your house and turn it into our headquarters."
