Patty couldn't believe that they'd need that much money. That was half of his total funds!
"Yes, sir. But don't worry, that includes all of our expenses. We will renovate this house, make sure that your house is deep cleaned every day, you will have food cooked for you every day, and we will be at your service 24/7 because we will be living right next to your house."
"Our plan is this, sir. I have noticed that the pipes in your house are a little bit out of maintenance, leaving your water a little hard. I estimate that to fix the entire house, I think it would cost a little bit over 10,000 Chains. My superior back then made me do it by hand, so that cost is only the materials and I'll do it myself," said Dom.
"Next would be your ventilation, sir. Your heater and your air conditioning are very dirty, leaving more costs for your electricity. I don't think that you should live in such bad quality air, so I am proposing that we should also buy you an automatic and centralized air-conditioner. The latest model costs about 120,000 Chains and it is very smart and has a built-in AI that automatically changes the air temperature according to your preferences. You can say how much humidity you want, and the AI will change it for you."
"There's also the walls outside. I think that we should keep the unkept and unpainted face, but enhance its durability from the inside. With how much Damascus Steel costs nowadays, it could cost around 150 to 200 thousand Chains to line up the whole house, including the roof."

"Okay, okay, stop! My head is spinning from thinking about all of those." Patty massaged his forehead.
The rest of them kept saying more renovations such as an improvement on the bed, more advanced kitchen apparatuses, and some furniture, and they even said some things about changing all the tiles on the floor.
In the end, they planned a lot of renovations in the house that would cost about 600,000 Chains and a whole lot of construction. Patty did say that he wanted his whole house renovated, but he didn't think that it would take that much work just to plan it.
"And since we want no one to secretly survey our business, we have reserved about 360,000 Chains to buy the four abandoned apartment buildings beside your house."
Patty didn't even know why they would want to buy that much real estate, but he didn't want to think too much about it. He said that they were in charge of renovating, so he should trust their judgment.
Although buying at least those abandoned apartments was too much for just four people, Andres and the others were looking far into the future. They were already planning to accommodate all of the people that they would eventually recruit in their revolution.
Of course, not all of them would immediately gain the blessing of having a Teqx from Patty. They would start first with a trial, where they could prove their loyalty to the cause. Once they had done that, then they could have a chance to officially join the Aezure company and gain the Teqx that they always wanted.
Andres decided that they would make the Aezure company headquarters just beside Patty's house. Once they have gathered hundreds of interns with the powerful Teqx in their arsenal, Patty would become the most defended Leader and CEO ever in history.
"Fine, do it."
Since it cost only a million Chains, Patty decided to let them do whatever they wanted. After all, he couldn't be bothered to do all of those, especially buying and choosing whatever tile looked best with the curtains. He could earn another ten million Chains easily if he just waited for a few days.
"Wait, the renovations already cost 960,000 Chains. That only leaves about 40,000 Chains for you guys."
Patty intended some of the budget to be their compensation for doing all of the renovation work. He was even willing to give them 100,000 Chains each for their efforts. Yet, they only took about 40,000 Chains for themselves.
"My apologies, sir. But don't worry, those 10,000 Chains for each of us will already last a couple of months. And we will spend that money tending to your needs. None of that money will be used for selfish purposes," assured Andres.
Patty shook his head. "Why are you people so addicted to hardship? This isn't the Ruobber company anymore where you're treated like a slave."
Patty then looked at the system screen in front of his eyes and talked to the System.
'Hey, system. I know that you don't like me and I don't like you, but what say you we settle our difference to help these poor guys out?'
The system didn't answer him.
'I now realize how good the coupon is. I didn't understand it then, but I understand it now. So, can you do me a favor and give me a few coupons to spare?'
The system went silent for a second.
'I know that this doesn't benefit you in any way, but I just want to do good by these guys since they'll be working for me in the future.'
Just when he thought that the system wouldn't answer back to him, he suddenly saw a window pop up in front of him.

He didn't think that the system would be so kind as to give him what he wanted. Each of those coupons could be easily converted into 10 energy! The system gave him free 100 energy.
'I didn't realize that you're pretty nice sometimes.'
The system went silent again. Even though Patty thought that the system was a bit stingy and too uptight, there were times when the system showed him that it had a good side.
The system hated bullies and was sympathetic to those bullied. It was the only nice trait he could appreciate from the system. If it was like that all the time, then Patty and the system would have a nice cohabitation in his mind.
Unfortunately, the system still wanted him to stop being lazy.
Patty then took out four discounted coupons and gave them to his workers. "Here, this will be your reward for the renovation job. I'll be giving it to you guys to show you that you don't need to work too hard. You just need to be lazy like me."
The four of them couldn't believe that they'd get a coupon this early. They thought they'd have to work at least another month to receive that reward.
It was only now that they realized that they worked too hard. They were overworked too much from the Ruobber company internship and they thought that working this hard without any compensation was normal.
Patty showed them that he was different. Because he was lazy, he knew how valuable hard work was. Because he was lazy, he was willing to give a bountiful reward to those who worked hard for him.
"I see…" Andres realized it too. This made him appreciate Patty even more.
All of them were speechless. The only thing they could do was work hard and feel like they've earned this reward.
And so, they started their renovations to the house. Andres went out of the house and visited some appliance stores to buy everything they needed.
Jorn was also in charge of major construction since he was the one with a Power Teqx. He was the one to take down the structure of the walls and replace them with new Damascus Steel walls.
Dom also helped by using his Iron Manipulation Teqx and cleaning out all the rust from the pipes and appliances of the house. He was also in charge of installing new cabinets and furniture and stomping them down with iron nails.
Roni was in charge of cooking some food for the rest of them. He summoned an ink drawing of a magical rat that could help him with cutting and washing some of the ingredients. He was preparing food for the entire week so that Patty didn't have to do anything and just eat whenever he wanted.
While renovations were going around the house, whenever someone was free, they would clean up the house and make it more organized.
Of course, they didn't forget to install some security protocols. They replaced his locks with a doorknob with built-in facial recognition. It was connected directly to their phones so they would know immediately if someone was intruding in Patty's house.
All the while that was happening, Patty was still in his bed, minding his own business. He just had to lay in bed while he watched his house transform into a place with litter and trash all over the floor into a room that looked like one of those hotel rooms advertised on the television.
His sink was devoid of any dirty dishes, his floor wasn't filled with empty cup noodles, and he finally got to see the actual color of his room, which was a dark grey.
This was the exact reason why he recruited Andres and the other interns!
