Tirad walked along with the guys in a defensive formation while keeping the women of their tribe safe in the center. The men surrounded them in two layers while holding whichever tools they had: some with hoes, while some held axes. Tirad walked briskly with the machete in his hand, keeping an eye on his surroundings.
Since he was one of the younger ones, he was put into the inner defensive ring while the older men took over the outer ring. The guy beside Tirad, who was in the outer defensive ring, walked towards him while one of his friends took over his place.
"Hey Tirad, where is your brother? Don't tell me that he left the tribe and ran away," he said, keeping his eye on Tirad, who glanced at his sister for a second before answering.
"Just mind your own business. I'm sure that he's trying to do something."
