With excitement quite apparent on his face, he walked out of the hospital with his blood test reports.
'I wasn't really expecting this but this really is the best scenario I could ever ask for.', he thought as he read the contents of his report.
Just a few minutes ago, he found out that it was completely safe to use serums, which meant a lot. A 100% chance of success were the words that were written in the report, which meant that they found no traces of any kind of serum in his blood.
Once a person uses serums, then the second and third time will give the person only a small percentage compared to the first time. This meant that he could use his avatars to take serums of high quality to reap the benefits multiple times without losing much.
Of course, there was the fact that he would only get around half of what the avatar had after it dies but he was unsure about the amount of power and skills that he could use while the avatar is alive.
'It doesn't matter now. As far as I can tell, it's more than 50% for sure.', he thought as he walked towards the nearest bus stop.
For the next week, he kept his movement minimal and only got out of his room when it was time to have his meals. The rest of the time, he was busy studying the subjects and topics that his avatar wasn't as he wanted to keep things efficient.
'Finally, this entire book set is done. Heck, I didn't expect my memory to be so good'.', he thought as he stretched is body.
Like he had been doing for the past week, he switched to his avatar and stayed there for a minute before switching back to his main body. This action was a great way for him to keep track of things and for information sharing.
Since his soul clone was literally a copy of his, there was no need to talk to it too much but he still did so just in case.
He stared at the closed book in front of him with a tired look on his face, "So, I'll finally be getting discharged huh...."
After staring at the book while thinking about random things, he snapped out of his day dreams and pushed the book that was on the table to the side before he picked up another one.
"There's still a few hours left so let's just study. Getting into the academy is a huge thing after all... huge discount on my first purchase based on my score and there's also monthly allowance, free room, free food and so much more. Ignoring it right now is something only a fool would do.", he said to himself before he opened the book.
A few hours later, he glanced at the time on his phone by mistake and let out a sigh, 'Ah... I got carried away. It doesn't matter anyways since there is no danger but I guess it's time to switch now.'
The surrounding view changed like he had expected and since he had gotten used to switching bodies, he didn't feel his head hurt as much as before.
"Hmm... so I have to share rent with you while also paying 50% of the total cost of groceries?", he asked as he looked at the nurse who was wearing a loose shirt and shorts since she wasn't in the hospital anymore.
She nodded and glanced at Isis who was silently sitting on the sofa beside Liam, "Yes. We're both adults so we'll split the bills among ourselves. As for Isis, well... other than her school fees and other stuff, which her guardian should be providing, I guess we can pay for the rest."
Liam stayed silent for a while before nodding, "Sure. I'll pay half of the rent and I'll also give you 50% of the money that went into groceries. I'll give half of what it costs to pay the electricity and water bills too. As for staying here, I'm sorry but that will not be possible.
I've got dangerous people who are searching for me so staying here will only put you two in danger and I don't want that to happen. I'll pay the bills but I won't be staying here."
"But you registered yourself as her guardian...", Nora said as she glanced at Isis but Liam simply shrugged, "Well, it's not like there are people who'll come and check all of these things anyways. At least not until someone files a complaint. As long as you guys keep this to yourself, no one will know. This will keep you both safe and Isis can go back to her normal school life.
Also, if there is anything you need, I want you to tell me. I'm your guardian after all, so it's my job to do all of that stuff."
Isis looked at him and nodded but Nora seemed to be dissatisfied with his decision. Luckily for him, she kept to herself and didn't say much.
Liam on the other hand, stood up and walked towards the door and just as he was about to leave, he turned back, "Also Isis, how much does a decent phone cost nowadays? I'll buy you one so that you can contact me whenever you want."
"It's fine. I have spare phones so I'll just give her one of mine.", Nora said without looking at him.
Grateful for the fact that he didn't have to spend money, he thanked her and walked out of the house before closing the door behind him. It didn't take him too long to get back to the cyber cafe. He paid the receptionist 5000 Rudo and once she took care of entering the information, he walked towards the room that he had gotten.
Unlike the normal cabin which he had gotten before, this one had more room. It had a wider and more comfy bed along with a good blanket. Other than that, there was a small bathroom right beside the computer. Overall, it was a good room but couldn't compare to the hotel room.
'This should do for now. Let's see if there are any jobs where I can make good money", he thought as he sat on the chair in front of the computer.
