"I woke up the next morning, ah, this softness. No matter how many times I wake up to it, it's always a delight. Sophie and I get ready to start the day. My mother took us to an A-rank dungeon, saying we'll be here for three months of hellish training. 'The only way you'll get strong enough to have any chance in the tournament,' she said. So, we spent three months doing hellish training; they passed in the blink of an eye.
Now, naturally, I was standing at one of the colosseums. All the colosseums are built on ley lines, allowing the use of spatial expansion magic in the arena. This is because some custom terrain or large gatherings required large space. Also, there's a spell that changes the terrain, summoning a high-tier Earth spirit to create a unique landscape. Also, you can use Earth magic; however, typically earth spirits are summoned to create the entire landscape."
"If you want something done well, hire a professional, as they say. The Earth spirit crafts a much better landscape, although the Ley lines still account for the continuous expenditure of utilizing Earth magic. After all, while it is possible to permanently alter the landscape with Earth magic, you've got to remember that the Colosseum floor is just sand. In other words, you would have to create a bunch of stones or rock in order to fashion something like a mountain, and the Ley line would continue supplying mana so the spell could be maintained for long periods of time. But, as they say, it wouldn't look like a really good mountain. If an earth spirit made the same size mountain, they would make it look extremely good. In fact, you wouldn't be able to distinguish it from a naturally occurring one. That's why they summon high-ranking or experienced earth spirits, because they're the ones strong enough to do something like sculpting an entire landscape or creating an entire landscape in this case."
"As I'm standing in the Colosseum waiting for things to start, judging by the number of people, it's Battle Royale Style; not sure if it's the winner or the number of participants from this Colosseum for the next round of qualifiers. After all, there are simply too many people to put into the main tournament, although the top 10 prizes are unknown. We do know that you just need to place in the top 100 to win 100 million dollarydoos. The first place prize is the Twilight staff. The Twilight staff is made of a branch from the world tree and Dragonite, one of the strongest alloys in the universe that we can't reproduce and only know about from research notes found in the hidden Realm."
"The alloy seems to be created from dragon scales, mythril, adamantite, a 10,000-year-old dryad corpse, a branch from a thousand-year-old white oak, and Ashwood tree. Finally, 10,000 mana crystals. All of these ingredients were used and fused together in the creation of the staff of Twilight; the method to do so is entirely unknown.
The staff is a living weapon, meaning it can grow with its user. However, that also means it's picky about who gets to use it. If the weapon doesn't choose you, then you cannot use it. The purpose of the staff is to draw out more mana. Think of the mana in your body as like the water in the lake—you can only scoop so much out at a time with your bare hands. However, if you utilize a staff or wand, you'll be able to draw out more mana. It's a misconception to think that they boost your power; they just let you output more power at once. They can also help people with channeling. This is typically used by beginners or amateurs. Those who have learned how to properly control their own mana don't have staffs or wands that assist with channeling. Anyway, the Twilight staff is an artifact with the power to amplify one's magic. So, the stronger someone is, the more powerful they will be with the Twilight staff's power. Almost forgot once could also be wands used, wands to assist in ones aiming."
"Suddenly, I look up, noticing the guy in the referee uniform of the Colosseum has started a very long and boring speech. After like five minutes of whatever the fuck he just said, i grin evely and with maniacal laughter, 'Die, motherfuckers!' unleashing a tsunami of flames. It washes over like half of the people in the Colosseum incinerating them in a violent fiery death, well more specifically, it triggers the emergency barriers of half the people in the Colosseum. Then, I do a tornado punch. Sending a tornado out from my fist, shredding them all into bloody meat chunks not really the other half of the people's barrier triggered, signifying my win this round. Honestly, I think they tried to use defensive Magic both times. All of this happened within a fraction of a second, so they didn't have much time to react. Probably, so it makes sense that I was able to beat them so easily. I doubt most of them went through the kind of hellish training I went through as most people like to slowly but surely accumulate strength, since it doesn't involve doing dangerous and hellish training where you pretty much put yourself on the brink of death several times."
