Chapter 2 - Walker Vers 1

"Is this a bit overkill? I should have created something simple, not something that could be used directly by the military," he said while observing the creation in front of him, which apparently consumed quite a lot of points, exceeding estimates. "500 points... It's just the beginning and I've already used half of what's given."

Ailord shook his head, realizing he had succumbed to his desires, one of the things that made him slightly hate himself. Knowing he found it difficult to resist temptations like this, especially when his creation could materialize before his eyes.

"I shouldn't have created the room."

Now, he was inside the room he had also created as a background, never expecting that the background would also materialize. Or more precisely, he tried to justify not feeling too guilty. But who could resist? Your creation can appear in the world, and you also get a shelter.

He approached, examining the texture and shape of his creation, searching for any errors that could be fixed or parts that needed upgrading. However, this had exceeded expectations and required field tests to find out more.

"The sun still shines brightly, I've found shelter. All that's left is to find food," Ailord grinned broadly, knowing he had done the right thing by creating the Armored Suit in front of him. "Not only does it have sensors, but it can also detect toxins. I believe 500 points are indeed worth it for survival."

The Armored Suit, now standing silently in front, waiting for its owner to use it, suddenly moved. Its head, which had been bowed earlier, now looked ahead, observing its creator. Though it had no face, only a pair of orange RGB lights, Ailord could sense that his creation was scrutinizing him, gathering every piece of information and storing it in the database on the computer at the end of the room.

"In a new world like this, I can't let my guard down at all. It's different from every manga, manhwa, or manhua I've read. They always make it look easy, while in reality, living in a truly different world is much harder than it seems. That's why I need anything that can increase the percentage of survivability," he thought before heading towards the computer to input some programs into the Armored Suit.

Thick black cables connected, instantly channeling white lights into the Armored Suit, giving it additional energy because Ailord planned not only to search for food but also settlements. Of course, he didn't plan to approach them, especially when he didn't know if the language used was the same or different. Not to mention, he was still wary if someone found out there was no mana inside his body it at all.

Ailord will only place markers in those areas so that the signal from the markers can be received by the computer, which will also read the surrounding areas through the Armored Suit sensors. Not only will the computer read the high and low ground, but it will also scan every plant, rock, and life within a range of 15 meters. It may not be extravagant, but for the first day, this is more than enough.

Moreover, there are no satellites in this world, so signals cannot be transmitted well beyond 15 meters, which may disrupt data reception and result in some data being disturbed or not received properly, leading to errors. Ailord doesn't want to have to go back to those places and explore them again just to fix an error.

"Ah... I should have also created a drone. It would be much easier if there was something that could give me aerial vision," Ailord looked outside, observing that it was about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. He then grinned, realizing that the lessons from elementary school still proved useful, "It's a shame that Gen A couldn't read time from the shadow of the trees."

A notification appeared on the monitor screen, indicating that the additional energy charging had been completed and was ready for use. Ailord entered a few command codes, and then the room went dark, with only the orange light from the face of the Armor Suit. As he walked closer, he hoped that the solar panels would provide enough energy for the room to be used at night.

A hologram screen appeared on the back of the Armor Suit, reaching a height of 2 meters. It displayed the word "Password."

Ailord entered it, and the hologram screen provided a notification: "Welcome, Commander."

The back of the Armored Suit opened, creating space for him to enter. Once inside, surprisingly, it felt comfortable; the back closed with a 'click' and a hiss of vapor.

Initially, it was dark, with nothing inside.

However, as the door opened with a much louder hiss, sunlight slowly streamed in, bathing the Armored Suit in beautiful light, although Ailord was sure it would make the inhabitants of this world see him as a monster. Perhaps there were even taller races, but it couldn't be denied that this Armored Suit was designed to intimidate opponents, especially with its unfriendly appearance and its resemblance to a killing machine.

The Armored Suit began to move, walking out with heavy footsteps that reverberated throughout the room. Even after it had stepped onto the ground, the thud of its footsteps still sounded menacing. It was as if something ominous was approaching, ready to wreak havoc.

"Let's see what capabilities Walker Vers 1 has," Ailord said.

As Ailord started to run, accidentally, he bumped into trees, not expecting that the propulsion from his legs would exceed expectations and actually make him run faster than anticipated. With this, he was confident that he could map out the surrounding area even more extensively and feel more confident in facing the monsters in the forest.

"I just hope I don't encounter anyone. If I do, they'll be scared and report it. I'm still not ready to face kingdom knights or other kingdom forces that could make me suffer. There's even a possibility they'll force me into slavery, to be continuously exploited for the rest of my life. I have no desire to live like that," he said, reminding himself never to give enemies a chance. Unless they truly deserved it.

Ailord truly hoped that life in this world was like the lives depicted in manga, manhwa, or manhua he had read. Because if so, everything would be much easier, more beautiful. He wasn't sure if he could take someone's life, as it required more time and mental strength. But that didn't mean he would just stand by.

He had planned to train by facing monsters so that when the time came, at least he could move and not be paralyzed without being able to do anything.

After running for more than five minutes, Ailord arrived at the top of a hill. From the screen, it could be seen that he had used five percent of the energy. "Even with the additional energy, running for five minutes consumes five percent of the energy. In other words, I can run for about 100 minutes. I'll use 90 percent while outside and keep the remaining 10 percent for emergencies at the base," he calculated.

Suddenly, a notification appeared on the screen, informing him of detected heat energy from below. After enlarging it, Ailord knew that the creature emitting this heat was quite large. It was approximately the same height as him, with the width about 3 meters. He weighed whether to search for another opponent or face this monster.

"However, if I don't push Walker, I'll never know its limits. If the situation becomes dangerous, I'll flee and find another opponent. If not, this creature will be both the first opponent and the meal," he decided.

He took his position, readying himself, and leaped high, a bit too high because he forgot that the Armored Suit was stronger than expected. At the same time, his heart skipped a beat as he realized that the forest was much wider than he imagined. Even at this height, all he could see was forest and more forest. There were no settlements around whatsoever.

Could it be that this world indeed has no settlements? Are there no other intelligent beings besides himself?

These thoughts bothered Ailord slightly, but he quickly dismissed them, reminding himself to focus on the main task: facing the creature that was beginning to emerge from behind the foliage.

A fierce collision occurred, creating strong vibrations that sent birds flying, dodging the gust of wind and falling trees. The ground around cracked, shattered, with Ailord in the midst of it, right above the creature resembling a large wild boar. Its body crushed, especially in the parts trodden by the Walker's feet.

Splatters of blood were clearly visible, giving new patterns to the Walker that now looked more like a Demon. Standing atop the lifeless prey with not only pooled blood but also dripping from his body.

A notification popped up, informing Ailord of some minor damages that could easily be repaired using the tools inside the base.

"Looks like I've gone too far," he muttered as he looked down at the monster's corpse below.

But before he could react, something hit him from behind, sending him sprawling forward, crushing several trees. The forceful impact caused the notification screen to provide additional information about some new damages.

"What the..."

He rose to his feet, gritting his teeth against the pain now coursing through his entire body. He couldn't help but imagine that if he hadn't used the Walker, he might no longer have a recognizable form.

In front of him, a giant lizard appeared, its skin dark brownish-black. A pair of brightly yellow reptilian eyes stared intensely at Ailord, exerting pressure upon him.

The lizard was anything but small, instead, it was full of intimidating large muscles. Especially on its tail, which had likely struck him earlier, there was a large and elongated mound, resembling a blunt sword. Each claw on its claws, while not very long, was sharp at the tip.

A smirk formed on his lips. "Now, this is a challenge."
