What is happening before Glok's eyes still makes it hard for him to believe that a Construct like this has never been heard of before. However, he knows that every strong Construct because he has faced them, and the one closest to the iron Construct in front of him is 'One Arm'. Only he can defeat him quickly.
It makes him curious; if they were to fight, who would end up being the winner?
Although Myhtril armor is strong, after playing for quite some time with the lizard, scratches begin to appear here and there. "Could it be that this famously strong armor is not really capable of facing these lizards? What kind of creatures are they?" Because upon reflection, even though there are other monsters in the forest, only these lizards are the ones he encounters the most.
Are they Apex predators?
But it's impossible for a world like this to only have lizards as the ultimate monsters.
A smirk appears on Ailord's face, realizing what he has just thought, "Only two days and I already consider this world as a game. Those stories is starting to corrupt me. How could I think of a world that is the home of other beings, as a game?"
There are too many isekai stories with the same system of power. Stories that, unwittingly, make someone feel that the world is just a game and no more important than a game that needs to be completed. Yet, there are so many precious lives within it.
"No, no, no. I can't think like that. Those stories are just entertainment, not something to be taken seriously. They have nothing to do with this world. This is a different world, a place where I have to survive now."
The buzzing sound resurfaces from both hands, startling the lizard who realizes that the metal creature is about to attack. Quickly, it heats up its scales, hoping to at least make the metal creature retreat momentarily and give it a chance to attack.
Unfortunately, it doesn't know that Walker is not the same Walker as before.
Ailord strikes and kicks again, not giving it any chance even to catch its breath. He could easily finish off the creature in front of him quickly. But...
He looks back, and the goblin is still watching him.
The screen indicates an incoming attack, but Ailord intentionally takes it, causing him to grimace in pain as the large tail strikes his right side. He is thrown to the side, catapulted and crashing into several trees and the ground. Although the mythril armor is strong, receiving an attack like that would still damage some circuits and cables.
Before he can even stand up, the lizard appears from above, rolling its body and spinning rapidly there. Unable to dodge, once again the tail strikes into Ailord's body. The ground around him is shattered, accompanied by strong winds and a thunderous sound.
Emergency signs continue to appear before his eyes, urging him to take cover to avoid further damage. However, Ailord smiles happily, aware that he has successfully shown the goblin that he is not that strong.
Why did he do it, you ask?
Of course, to keep his true strength unknown. He still doesn't know whether this goblin is evil or good. It could be either, as nothing is purely black or white. The same goes for himself.
He coughs, spitting out blood with a dizzying gaze. He didn't expect the lizard to still be able to use deadly attacks when its own life was not much longer. He had truly underestimated it.
Just as he was about to stand, the same tail appears not far from the left side of his helmet. However, unexpectedly, this time it's the goblin who comes to the rescue. Glok stands between them, holding the lizard's tail with both hands, which gradually glow brighter until the accumulated energy is thrown forward, causing the lizard to be thrown away. The cannon-like sound is enough to startle Ailord.
"Are you alright?! Ah..." Glok remembers that the Construct behind him uses a different language. "You might not understand me, but I'm sure you'll get it." He takes a deep breath, and suddenly a massive surge of energy emanates from his body with a bright light, forcing Ailord to reduce the screen's brightness.
"Let's finish him together."
Ailord stands up, enduring the pain in his body that feels like an electric shock and almost makes him fall again. With all his strength, he holds on, not wanting to appear too weak in front of the goblin, even though both of his legs are trembling.
"I don't know what you're saying, but," Ailord replies with a deep voice that he intentionally changed from the beginning, "I understand what you mean." The buzzing sound resurfaces, this time from his entire body, causing Glok to shudder in horror, imagining what it would be like if he were the target of the Construct's attack beside him.
The lizard has risen to its feet, roaring loudly not far in front of them. This roar now suggests they are at the endgame. Whoever wins the fight will be the one to escape death.
Their feet stamp down simultaneously, advancing forward while shouting, aware that this is their only chance to continue surviving. The lizard with its tail, Ailord and Glok with their fists.
As they collide, a massive explosion occurs, illuminating the area for a moment with a thunderous sound and strong vibrations. Trees are thrown far away, some even disappearing without a trace.
Is the fight over?
Of course not.
Even though the conditions of the three of them are not good, they continue to exchange blows, giving everything they have, except Ailord, of course. He is still trying hard to restrain himself from being carried away by the situation. He also wants to unleash all of Walker's abilities, to find out what the full power of this second version of Walker is like. But with the goblin beside him, he can't do it.
Therefore, Ailord can only deliver painful but not fatal blows. However, that is certainly enough for the lizard, which can no longer breathe properly. Blood is visible all over its body, flowing down from large wounds. Especially from the mouth full of sharp fangs. The blood doesn't stop flowing out; almost all of its internal organs are damaged, and it's only a matter of time before the lizard finally loses.
Glok sees the opportunity, seizes it, delivering a heavy blow to the lizard's body, which can no longer stand properly. The strong impact creates the same thunderous sound, followed by a strong vibration on the ground. The lizard finally falls limp, its eyes wide open, witnessing death approaching.
At the same time, Glok falls beside it, unable to stand anymore. His whole body feels so painful, especially when every inch of his skin breaks and is consumed by the Berserker's power. He has deactivated that power, but it seems he was a little late. It can be felt that mana is no longer under control inside his body, moving wildly with a sense of emptiness that makes him quite scared.
"Ah, damn it.. I'm really going to die here," he mutters softly. A bitter smile appears on his face.
In his mind, various memories spin. Especially memories with Teena, the person he has loved since childhood. The first time they met as the first child of each clan, which has now united to form a goblin village. The largest and strongest goblin village.
"I should have expressed my feelings. Instead, I kept waiting for the right time. And now... I've lost that chance," tears begin to flow, wetting his face and the ground. His sobs become audible to Ailord, who is confused as to why his body is still glowing brightly with tears streaming down.
"Could he be upset about failing to face the lizard alone?"
Glok, still expressing his feelings, hears heavy footsteps from the Construct. He lifts his head, seeing its intimidating face, especially the orange glow on it. "Ah.. I forgot to say thank you. I'm sorry, I really apologize," his tears flow again. "Even though you don't have feelings, let me apologize as my last request."
'What is he doing? Is he asking for help?' Ailord wonders to himself. "Um, sorry. I really don't understand what you're saying. Do you need something? And please stop crying."
"Ah.. I don't understand what you're saying, but it sounds comforting. Thank you," Glok replies with a sincere smile.
