Chapter 8 - Trouble At The Training Center

"Aurora, didn't I tell you that you're grounded for the whole week? Where do you think you're going to?" Selene shouted after Aurora who was already running out of the house.

They had just returned from school and it was time for her training.

"Sorry, mom. I really can't afford to miss my training." She said and dashed out.

"Aurora..." Selene clenched her jaw.

"You know the daughter you have. She'd never want to miss her training for anything." Matthew stated, trying to calm his angry wife down.

"I don't want her to get hurt again all in the name of training to be a warrior. She's exerting herself." Selene complained, feeling bad.

"I know she's doing that to prove a point to people mocking her for being wolfless and I feel bad that my daughter is suffering that much and there's nothing I can do about it." She added, sullenly.

"I understand, dear. I feel it too. She is handling the pressure well. Let's just keep acting strong for her. She is going to be fine." He maintained.

"I hope so. She is handling strangely well and that's kind of scaring. I want her to show emotions and let me pet her but she is acting strong and trying to cope all by herself." She said, sadly.

"Don't worry, dear. She is a unique child, she is going to be fine." Matthew said, hugging her warmly.

Aurora trotted to the training center, fully ready to give it her all.

"I need to be strong to the extent that no wolf would be able to lay a finger on me, ever again, even though I don't have a wolf. I must ensure that. At least, I should be able to protect myself from any threat. I'm going to be a formidable force to reckon with." She vowed.

"Hey, alien! What are you doing here? You haven't given up yet?" Clara inquired, mockingly. The other girl behind her laughed out loud while Tina, their leader, smiled.

Aurora had just gotten to the entrance of the training center and was about to enter the hall. It was a large hall that housed every training equipment, including treadmills, rowing machines, spin bikes, elliptical trainers, suspension trainers, punching bags, and so on. There were also different spaces in the large hall, such as boxing ring, sparring space, combat space and so on.

"Yuck, alien! Aren't you tired already? You should definitely get your ass out of our pack and go live amidst the humans where you belong." Gracie stated, laughing.

The three girls' clique were one of the outstanding groups that usually ridiculed her for being wolfless. They were all age mates.

"Do these girls really have nothing better to do than to bully me?" Aurora thought to herself and heaved a sigh.

"Let me just ignore you, since you have nothing better to do with your lives, while I'm busy building mine. See y'all, later!" She said loudly and wanted to walk away.

Tina scoffed. She signalled to her girls to get hold of her.

"Who do you think you are to walk away while we're still talking to you?" Clara stated, dragged her back roughly.

"Get your hands off me! What exactly is your problem with me? Can't you just leave me alone? What part of I don't want to talk to you people, do you not understand? I don't want to stoop low to your level and be exchanging words with you, that's why I'm walking away." She snapped at them.

"You girls should leave me alone!" Leave me alone!" She added, laying emphasis on her second statement.

"Girls, you heard the lady. She said you should leave her alone." Tina called out, finally speaking up after watching the scenario, silently but amusedly.

She was the pack's chief warrior's only daughter and the leader of the gang.

"Sorry, love! You can go your way, peacefully." She had said to her gently, with a sweet smile but her action was different. She had pushed Aurora hard and the latter fell to the ground, painfully. She had been training as a warrior so she was very strong, especially with her wolf.

"Ouch, that must hurt like a bitch!" Clara and Gracie exclaimed, mockingly.

"Girls, the lady needs help. Help her get up!" Tina said to the girls and smirked at Aurora.

"Grab my hand, alien, let me help you up!" Gracie said, holding out her hand to her.

She slapped her hand away and managed to stand up, groaning.

"Tina..." She gritted out as she stood before her.

"Yes, love. I'm all ears, what do you want to say?" Tina inquired, sweetly.

"You and your girls are getting on my nerves. I'm about to explode." She seethed.

"Oh, the alien has got some cute attitude!" Gracie and Clara exclaimed again.

"Really? So, what do you want to do to us? Do you want to challenge me to a fight?" Tina asked her, cockily.

Aurora inhaled sharply. She knew fully well that she couldn't handle Tina and her wolf. Tina was currently the best teenage fighter in their pack. Even the guys hadn't been able to defeat her. She was of noble birth, her mother was of Alpha's blood and her father was the chief warrior.

"No, I... " Aurora had wanted to decline immediately but was cut short by a deep voice from behind them.

"Yes. She is going to challenge you to a fight. As a matter of fact, I heard she has been talking about how desperate she is, to challenge you. You both are going to fight right now. The winner can do whatsoever she wishes to the loser. That's the stake!" Dante said, walking up to them. His legs were still in the plaster cast.

"Fucking Dante!" Aurora muttered under her breath.

"I love that! I'm going to crush your fragile bones, my love!" Tina said and growled, baring her teeth at her, excitedly. Colour drained from Aurora's face.
