Chapter 6 - Jeni's Childish Behaviour

Who is his creator? What does his creator look like? Kur was completely lost. "Whose my creator" he asked Tamra,

"Am talking about Rahl, he's on the hunt for you". Kur felt a sign of tension as the last words of Tamra dropped from her mouth, it sounded like the world was about to collapse on him. "How do you mean?, What have I done wrong" Kur started asking in panic. Chuk and Jeni could only watch these scenes as they knew nothing about what Tamra and Kur were talking about. Kur became very uncomfortable and he walked away immediately, Chuk and Jeni followed at the back immediately, Tamra stood at the same and watched as her boss left. Tamra knew Kur wanted her to follow but she couldn't knowing she was the cause of everything happening, jealous and hate for Cara made her spill out the milk in the wrong cup. After a few moments Kur observed that Chuk and Jeni were the only ones with him, he turned back and asked Tamra, "She never followed us". Jeni answered,

"We've to turn back, she's not safe out there. Rahl is also likely after her too, she's not strong enough to face him"

Chuk saw it as a bad idea and he insisted that they kept on going, but as always, Chuk's words didn't count to Kur. He left the both of them and picked up the pace with a race, Jeni was the next to join him in the run. Chuk became frustrated knowing that Jeni's safety wasn't guaranteed in the hands of Kur, so he had to go after her. But by the time Kur got to the place he saw the army of the Hartland already with Tamra and the King was seated close to Tamra, he immediately hid himself somewhere and watched the scene. Jeni saw the King and she became very terrified, one of the soldiers the King noticed the strange behaviour of Jeni immediately after she saw him, and her face looked so familiar he could recall it. "Hey you, stop there" the soldier screamed. Kur and everyone's attention were cut short, and their attention was fixed on who the solider was referring to, Kur became even more anxious seeing this, and just as the soldier that sighted Jeni almost got to her, Chuk ran and entered the scene, feeling nervous because everyone attention was already on Jeni before he got there. "Sorry guys, we're leaving now" he held Jeni's hands and turned the same way they came, the soldier insisted that they stop but Chuk pretended he heard nothing and kept on walking alongside Jeni. These suspicious acts made the King warrant the arrest of Chuk and Jeni, and the soldiers immediately joined the man who was already on them. Seeing this, Chuk immediately ran for it, he made sure Jeni was with him all along, They both ran for it and they were lucky to enter into a dark path. The soldiers were still on their tail but it was safer for Kur who followed them through another route to operate.

Kur, a powerful wizard with no mercy, slaughtered the soldiers pursuing Chuk and Jeni. Chuk tried to intervene, but Kur's swift magic eliminated the entire army in an instant. Kur seethed with anger, frustrated that he couldn't reach Tamra and uncover the nature of her deal with the King.

"Why is the King conspiring with my assistant?" Kur muttered to himself, his mind racing with suspicion.

Jeni, filled with remorse, became timid and submissive around Kur and Chuk for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, Chuk shared Kur's skepticism about Tamra's intentions.

"I don't trust your assistant," Chuk said aloud, his eyes fixed on Kur. "She seemed to be hiding something. Remember how she hesitated before we left?"

Kur's expression changed as he considered Chuk's words. He began to see Tamra in a new light, his trust in her wavering. At this point, no one was above suspicion in Kur's eyes, and he viewed Jeni, the mysterious woman Chuk had brought into their midst, with particular distrust.
