I sat on my bed watching Millie check me for any injuries, so overprotective. The thought I had this morning came back to me.
"Millie," I called and she hummed in response. "Let's run away," I said but got no reaction. Seriously, what does it takes to fluster this lady?
"To where?" she asked.
"Anywhere, away from this place, away from Percandos,"I said and she looked at me.
"I knew a day like this would come," she sighed and sat on the bed. "My lady…" she started but I stopped her and asked,
"Do you have a whole speech prepared?"
"Yes," she replied and I laughed saying,
"No need," I said lying down. "I'm not changing my mind, the longer I stay here the more the chances of losing my sanity," I said. She took a long pause then she sighed and stood up walking to the door. "Where are you going to?" I asked.
