Chapter 19 - The Harsh Reality Of This World 3

**Aurora De Silva's POV**

As I looked at the asura in front of me I started to remember what happened earlier.

[Twelve minutes earlier]

I was leisurely chilling in a restaurant that served better dishes than the cafeteria, when I felt a few gazes on me and behold it was the scions of the Greatwoods, Ashbourne, Hargreaves, Wellington and crimson families.

Oh there was someone else with them. My eyes stayed on him for a brief moment before I retracted my gaze. I realized who he was, he was the silver ranked guy that could fly.

Apart from finding it interesting, I didn't really care about it but what surprised me was that he was sitting with them.

Owen I could understand, that was how he was as he didn't share the superiority complex of the so called noble families.

But the rest of them see themselves superior to commoners. The only reason I interact with lily was because she keeps pestering me.

I was thrown out of my thoughts when I felt a spacial disturbance right above the restaurant.

I instantly teleported out of the restaurant only to see Asuras pouring out of a portal, with the first one being at gold rank.

I had seen and even killed Asuras before but what baffled me was how did they manage to get into the academy while my master was still around.

He raised his arm and threw a blue device at the restaurant making an explosion where it impacted.

I attacked the asura but as if sensing it he vanished and I felt another disturbance a few kilometers away. I instantly teleported there and I saw him there.

I took so long to kill him because he had spacial abilities and was very slippery.

I returned to the area of the restaurant and I saw the other cadets who had managed to kill the Asuras around here.

I felt auras approaching us three to be precise which led me to this situation where I teleported away with the platinum ranked asura.

"I presume you think you can kill me" he said in a regal tone.

"I don't think I can kill you" I replied.

"Then what did you bring me here for, to stall for time, if that's your intention, I can assure you it's meaningless" he said.

"I know I can kill you" I said.

"What" he said.

" I don't think I can kill you I know I can kill you" I repeated as I saw his face contort and morph in rage.

I knew it was only a matter of time, no matter how intelligent Asuras act, deep in their core they are still the same violence and carnage seeking race.

"Before I wanted to kill you but now I'll take you as my slave to pay for this humiliation Hahaha" he shouted maniacally.

A crimson mist started to emanate from him before he shouted "this is my ability, corrosion mist and it can corrode anything it touches.

" You know if you were smarter you could have lived a longer life, the only reason your subordinate survived that long was because he had a space ability and was very slippery". I said to him.

"Let me tell you a little something about my ability, as long as my opponents can't resist my teleportation, they're just a fish on a chopping block". I continued as I saw realization dawned on him.

And with that I created a space barrier around me like a second skin. This will be an easy fight and the only reason I even teleported him away was to test if I could teleport him.

I simply created spacial blades in a cross formation before teleporting him to their center where he was skewered.

I dispelled the blades letting his corpse fall to the ground and I saw his eyes filled with confusion not realizing how he even died, but from his aura that was distabled I could tell he just entered platinum rank.

If it he was at the mid or peak platinum this fight would have been way harder because he would have attained his authority. If that was the case, I would have also have to breakthrough to platinum earlier than I wanted.

Now to check on what my master was thinking letting the cadets get attacked. I knew there was no way he wouldn't know about it.

**Adam Walker's POV**

In about ten seconds the asura and I were already away from the dorms area and he was catching up to me real fast.

Soon enough I was hurled towards the ground with enough speed to crack it. "Shit this bastard punched me on my back" I thought as I intended to stand up but felt as if my body was twice as heavy.

Before I could react I was punched on the cheek sending me flying a couple of meters away.

Sensing danger coming from my back I tried to move but my body faltered because now it was four times as heavy.

Then I realized, this bastard, I guess this is his ability, making matter he punches or rather touches become twice as heavy.

"You must have felt it right, the reason why you can never win, that is, my ability. When activated anything I touch becomes twice as heavy and if I touch it twice it becomes four times heavier", he spoke with certainty as if this I had already lost.

And he was right there was no way I could turn this around the only thing I could do is try not to die.

I started reducing the gravity acting on my body to counter the effects of his ability and it did work to a certain extent.

"It's futile, whatever you're trying to do that is" he said and the bastard was getting on my nerves.

"You really talk too much for a subordinate" I said to him relishing the satisfaction of his face twisting in rage.

The asura meanwhile was infuriated thinking about how he has to slave for someone just to get resources and this brat was mocking him for it?.

As he was clouded in rage he didn't think that there was no way Adam could have known about that.

"Brat I'll skin you alive and what I'll do to you will make you beg me for death" he hissed in rage.
