"Oh... I do see the reason but it makes my life and job a bit more interesting to see you angry."
"Hmph, but just so we are clear, I am not planning to meet you earlier than expected either," replied the Loplin as he scowled at the Ankou.
"You are truly an interesting bunny... But now I wonder, how long until she'd find out? She's not as dopey as she looks. My Layla is my little angel that I've known ever since her parents asked me to care for their children. But she's known as a trickster too."
Before Matt could inquire more, the Ankou quickly called for both Teemo and Layla, who were stuffing the Ores into sacks.
"We could sell these off for so much Gold..." said the Felidae, smiling.
"Oh we could use it to make something else to sell it instead of selling the whole raw material," answered Layla.
"Eh?"
"You know, like making cocktails with less alcohol and more other common ingredients that enhance flavors but actually make the drink cost less. I'll show it to you when you've finished making my armor."
As the group gathered near the Grim Reaper, a string of black Elemental Energy shot out of the scythe's tip and surrounded the group, creating a circle and then a pillar.
"Oh, before I forget," said the Ankou as he extended an arm to hold Layla in an embrace.
It was over in an instant and the group found themselves stumbling and falling on the floors of Teemo's shop.
"You could've at least given us a warning or something... I never thought you could teleport us without a chant or something," complained the Felidae as he rubbed his back.
Layla was the only one who landed normally, with the Ankou stabilizing her. The rabbit wasn't as lucky as he landed flat on the ground.
"I have a feeling that he did it on purpose…" mumbled the Loplin as he got up.
"It's not my fault that the two of you aren't used to being teleported. And I don't see why would I need a chant for doing something so mundane as this."
"Might I remind you that I take lost souls to my Kingdom as a job?" said the Ankou, shrugging his shoulders while his weapon vanished.
"Yes, but still. Could've warned us... I'm not as young as a kitten anymore," complained Teemo as he walked towards the door to get downstairs.
The Felidae then led everyone back to the basement and stopped in the middle of the hallway.
"Alright! The three of you can make yourselves comfortable while I hammer up and create Layla's new armor… I will be in that room over there for the next few days so don't enter it and bother me. Including the Grim Reaper," growled Teemo as he glared at the Ankou.
"Aw… I thought I could help you…" suggested the Ankou while smiling.
"The last thing I need help from is you. You've done enough for the day. Now the three of you shall leave me alone," said Teemo as he went into the room and locked the door, leaving the three standing in the hallway.
"I don't intend to stay here any longer since I'm aching all over from today's events. I'll see you when I'm done resting. Layla, are you coming with me? I promise I haven't drunk any tea," asked the rabbit as he walked towards the bedroom.
"I'll just be in the kitchen, finding some cookies," said the Ankou, turning around.
"Odd that you don't want to be near the Dragoon..."
"Do you want me to follow the two of you?"
Matt shrugged as he waved goodbye to the Ankou. Layla followed the Loplin to the room. As the two styled down, Matt took off his coat and tossed it to the chair while Layla lay down on the bed.
"So... What did the Ankou talk to you about? You both seem to know each other like friends you've met on your travels," quizzed the Dragoon as she started fiddling with a pillow.
"Why are you so familiar with the Grim Reaper? It's not a normal thing for a living person to treat him like an old friend... What's your connection with him?" asked the Loplin as he took off his accessories.
"Answer my question first then I will answer yours…" said Layla, sitting up on the bed while pouting.
"I can't tell you… And it isn't a pressing matter so we should just let it go…" muttered Matt as he sat on the foot of the bed.
"But why? You've been hiding something from me, I can sense so what is it? He seemed to make you quite pissed off, and something about a deal and your true identity…"
