Diana's POV
I stormed inside my room, my heart racing with anger and hurt. That bitch, Valerie, had snatched my mate right from under my nose. Rohan, the one person I thought truly understood me, had fallen for her lies and charms.
I couldn't believe it. I had given him everything, my heart, my trust, my body. And this was how he repaid me? By falling for some weak, pathetic werewolf who couldn't even control her own desires?
I spat on the ground, furious. Valerie was a manipulator, a user. She had no idea what it meant to be a true mate, to bond with someone on a deep and primal level.
I thought about the way Rohan had looked at her, the way he had kissed her. My stomach churned with nausea. I had never felt such a deep sense of betrayal.
As I walked, my anger only grew. I couldn't wait to confront Valerie, to tell her exactly what I thought of her. She was a homewrecker, a mate-stealer. And she would pay for what she had done.
