Gojo used his appraisal eye. He hadn't used it since leaving Seldis village.
His stats were as follows :
Lapse blue technique : Level 7
Infinity : Level 7
Six eyes : Level 4
Reverse curse technique : Level 3
Reverse red : Level 4
Appraisal eye : Level 4

He had some decent stats as he engaged in a lot of combat lately. He yet had to gain hollow purple technique and teleportation. He couldn't wait to reach the capital but that was still far for now.
The next stop was Murdoch village. The village was situated around Lake Murdoch. Other than and the pleasant weather nothing else was worthy about the village.
Gojo had fallen asleep when he felt a finger poking on his forehead. Opening his eyes he saw Grisella staring at him.
" Hey Gojo look outside the cart. You will miss the scenery if you don't. " she said.
When Gojo looked out, he saw picturesque fields covering a large part of the land. In his previous life he had spent most of his life in Tokyo and it's suburbs. The scenery woke a new sense of freedom within him. They had reached Murdoch.
As they got down from their carts they were greeted by a group of villagers led by the village chief.
" How are you Eric ? Long time no see. " asked the village chief.
" Well I am fine. How are you Vark ?" asked Eric Flavel. The both of them seemed to know each other well.
They managed to negotiate for a large empty cottage near the lake. The lake was at the center of the village and was pretty huge. Gojo and Grisella went to venture out in the fields.
After roaming through the fields they along with Eric Flavel gathered at the village chief's house for lunch.
" Although you came at a little bad time, we will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable. " said Vark.
" Why what happened ? Is there something bad happening to this village ?" asked Eric Flavel with concern in his voice.
" Ah, you don't have to think about that. I can't possibly increase your troubles while you stay here. " said Vark.
Although the village chief tried to divert attention from the topic but Eric Flavel insisted on Hearing about the dangers that threatened the village.
" Fine then listen carefully, after the sun completely sets and the night sky becomes completely dark don't venture out of the cottage. You will be in trouble if you do so. At least five people disappeared after leaving their homes after the sunset. " said Vark.
" There have been reports of hideous beasts with red glowing eyes running through the fields from a couple of weeks ago. " He added.
" Well if it's not too much trouble then I will ask the adventurers escorting me to help with the problem. " said Mr Flavel.
" Ah, please no. This is something the village should sort out. Besides the adventurers are quite young. So sending them is not a good idea. " said Vark.
" Despite how they look like, these adventurers are pretty capable of tackling their own problems. Am I correct ?" Mr Flavel said and turned towards Gojo, Grisella and Sid. He went on " If any of you manage to successfully deal with the peril this village is facing then each of you will get a large copper coin. "
After lunch the three of them sat down to discuss about what to do.
" This sounds pretty dangerous to me. What do you think about it Gojo ?" asked Grisella.
" This is another chance for us to level up and earn money. So I think I'll take it. " said Gojo confidently.
" I think we shall deal with whatever is troubling the village. But we must exercise caution while dealing with them. " said Sid.
The three of them nodded their heads in unison and started preparing for the night.
It was a very silent night. Under the dark sky of the night three figures descended on the fields near Murdoch. Thankfully the moon shone brightly in the sky.
After reaching the fields Gojo, Grisella and Sid started patrolling the surroundings. Nothing happened for a long while. Suddenly they started hearing rustling in the bushes surrounding the fields.
Gojo knew something was approaching. He could feel dozens of eyes watching him from a distance and also feel movement through the bushes.
They heard a shrill roar behind them. Turning around they saw multiple pairs of red glowing approaching towards them.
Soon the creatures came into view. Under the moonlight what they saw were creatures that mostly resembled the wolf with thin legs like that of rats and teeth randomly sticking out beside their mouth. No doubt these hideous creatures were stalking beasts.
Stalking beasts were very hideous in appearance. People usually got scared when they first saw a stalking beast. But to Gojo this was nothing. Surely he had seen much more hideous curses in his previous life.
Gojo rushed forward at full speed. He first used lapse blue to hurl one beast towards the other and then used reverse red on the fallen beasts.
Dozens of stalking beasts died due to Gojo's rampage a few more killed by Grisella and Sid. After defeating the beasts they returned back to their cottage to sleep.
The village was safe for the time being.
