Chapter 16 - Delayed Journey

Day by day, the 'Other World Bank' is becoming more crowded, with more and more people borrowing money and storing their assets in the bank. The gold and silver coins I receive from my main business are also increasing. Not to mention the large amounts of gold, diamonds, and mithril bars I receive every day from the golems in the mines, which further increase my assets in this other world.

Sales from the automotive business, construction bookings, and everyday materials are also skyrocketing. Thanks to magic assistance, the building construction process in this world has become much easier and faster than on Earth. This is clearly advantageous for me in terms of business, as construction processes that usually take a long time can be expedited. The entire business operation process also does not require a lot of labor; labor costs can also be reduced thanks to the golems and homunculus I created.

After all businesses are running smoothly, the central administrative office is stable, and the bank is operating better, it's time for me to start the second project to slightly expand my territory. A few weeks ago, I contacted the kingdom authorities that I would buy vacant land surrounding my territory. During the negotiation process with the kingdom authorities, the results were not always smooth. From the beginning, knowing that my territory is rich, they were not willing to easily sell the land to me. But thanks to lengthy negotiations, we managed to buy the land with the condition of a special tax to be applied in that outer area.

I agreed to it, because the outer area will only be used as a regular settlement for people who cannot easily build in the inner area, and of course, the kingdom authorities are not aware of this. So, instead, I created a new residential area outside the walls. The construction process of the housing complex lasted for 2 months and 9 days, consisting of normal houses and several medium-sized buildings for shopping and other needs. As before, the construction process was carried out by golems and some male homunculus.

During the construction process, my magical power could adjust to the amount of building materials needed. Unlike before, I didn't faint at all in this project, just regular fatigue due to exhaustion of magical power. The completed houses were immediately promoted and rented out at an affordable cost to ensure high occupancy and demand.

My priority is to increase the population in my territory so that the economy continues to run and develop. The shopping center is filled with homunculi selling everyday necessities. This is what true capitalism looks like. All their money will go into my pocket. Thanks to their gold and silver coins.

With the presence of a new residential area outside the walls and the increasing population, the population in this area is growing quite rapidly, which is in line with the increasing demand and needs of the people that must be met. Thus, the economic wheel will continue to turn, and the residents are required to work to meet their daily needs while living here.

The merchant complex is getting busier due to the increasing population. This area has become a center for trading activities between adventurers and ordinary people, and the daily needs of the people are readily available here. The rest is up to their efforts in working and earning money to finance their own needs.

The increasing demand in the market for daily necessities is also in line with the increasing demand in other industrial sectors. This prompted me to seek other sources of minerals from nature by sending expeditions. Some new homunculus and golems that I created are equipped with metal and underground mineral detection skills so that they can immediately search for new mineral and metal mines.

I created quite a number of homunculus and humanoid-like golems so that they can scatter to various regions on this continent to search for new mines and operate them from there. Their results can be sent through dimensional storage later. This is a special team that I created specifically for expeditions.

I need a lot of new metals such as iron, steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, and other metals for raw materials for large-scale industrial processes. Because many of these metals are very useful as raw materials or additives to make certain products. While precious metals like gold, diamonds, and mithril are still a priority for mining collection at the moment because of their high value.

After my territory has developed significantly, I have never stepped out of this territory again due to the busyness that needs to be done here. Even though other kingdoms know my name, they have never seen my true face because it is not yet time for me to reveal myself.

This territory can now operate independently without my direct assistance this time, a quite long journey in raising and developing this territory. I spent more than 2 years building all of this and expanding wealth in this world. The outside world is beginning to refer to my trading efforts as a leader in change in the construction and automotive industries, as well as a technology pioneer.

For the first time after more than two years of managing the territory, I decided to venture out of the territory again with Arin, my woman. Oh no, I mean, my colleague. Ahem.

Previously, she always helped me manage the administration of this territory at the central office as my representative because I couldn't always be there. She worked very competently with the homunculi serving as CEO in the main office building. It seems she is highly valued and respected there by workers from various regions for one reason or another.

Even in the establishment of the bank, Arin handled some important documents, and I think she is more suited to being an adventurer than I am, especially when handling documents and wearing glasses, like a secretary, she skillfully manages those troublesome documents. And after a long wait of more than two years, the time has finally come. She can go back adventuring with the man who caught her attention. Because all this time she has only worked at the desk and only dealt with stacks of papers, her stress levels peaked a few moments ago.

She came into my room drunk and crying, pulling my clothes because she was tired of all her work and wanted to go adventuring again soon. I felt guilty seeing her like that. Pitiful seeing her like that, I calmed her down and told her about the next journey. After hearing all that, she fell asleep in my room. I laid her next to me and rested for the upcoming journey.

A few days passed, we were ready to leave this territory and hand everything over to the homunculus CEO in the main office as the leader replacing me.
