Chapter 21 - Battle Preparation

After Arin and Mira's equipment was ready, I only strapped the Rainbow Katana, the White one, around my waist. It seemed to eagerly await my use. Despite often carrying it, I had never drawn its blade since arriving in this world. The last time was in my first battle against bandits and when I rescued Arin from a misunderstanding.

I hesitated, longing to carry the White one on my waist, fearing Arin's scolding and insistence on testing my skills. She always wanted to see the White one again, but the opportunity never arose until now.

I quickly stored the Black one dimensionally for safety, as I would only use the White one. Although I referred to the Black one, it was just the scabbard that was black, and its aura was black when worn, while the blade didn't reflect any black color at all. It was just a random name I had chosen earlier; if there was a White one, I thought there should also be a Black one.

After finishing my preparations and strapping the White one around my waist, I helped tidy up Mira's house for a moment with the sexy Mira, then hastily moved away before Arin arrived and saw the White one, prompting her to ask me to draw it.

"I'll go to the bedroom, be right back," I grabbed a broom in my hand, and before Mira could comment, Arin headed to the living room where we were and stood behind me.

She immediately lunged to grab the White one and begged to see it. Mira and I were startled by her behavior.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaa, AH ARIIIIN," Mira scolded in shock.

I remained silent, startled more by Mira's scream.

"Please let me see it just once, Nima, please, I'll keep doing this if you don't show me," Arin hugged me tightly from behind and didn't loosen her grip on me at all.

Seeing Arin hugging Nima, Mira felt embarrassed, her face flushed as she tried to pull Arin away from Nima's body.

"Arin, what are you doing hugging a guy like that, it's not proper for a knight, you know," she told Arin while trying to pull her away from me with all her strength.

"It's not like that, Mira, look at the sword, look at the white katana Nima is carrying. You'll understand why I'm like this if you see it too," Arin struggled to maintain her grip despite Mira's pulling.

Mira paused for a moment, gazing at the katana on Nima's waist, which looked incredibly beautiful. She had only just noticed it because she had been focused on her household chores.

"Oh, that's what it is. Nima, what katana is that? Its scabbard is so beautiful," Mira also became curious after seeing it up close.

"Yeah, yeah, Arin, yeah, I'll show you, yeah. Let go first, you're stuck to meee!!" I was still trying to release her hug, feeling her soft chest pressing against my back.

"Really??? Hehe sorry," she blushed slightly and slowly released her hug from me.

I handed the katana to Arin, who wasted no time and immediately drew its blade from the scabbard. They both looked at it in awe, the beautiful Rainbow katana, its blade made of the manifestation of beautiful Rainbow light right before their eyes.

Mira, seeing such a beautiful weapon for the first time, was amazed and filled with clear curiosity about the katana. I could feel their excessive enthusiasm. Well, I was also surprised the first time something as sensational as that appeared.

"Is this real? Regular people would see it just as a useless sword hilt, but if one has a high sensitivity to magic, we can definitely see the katana blade. This beautiful Rainbow light manifested into a blade is truly extraordinary. It seems to be a weapon on par with sacred artifacts."

Mira explained her opinion without expecting a response from either of us, oddly.

"Even though it's the second time, I still love seeing it. This beautiful light that can be touched. The beautiful colors of its blade. Not to mention when Nima wields it, ahhhh... it must be amazing, I really want to see it."

Arin seemed very eager to own it, but unfortunately, I couldn't make another one like this because it's one of a kind and impossible to duplicate. After satisfyingly gazing at the White one, Arin finally returned it, impatient to see me use it. After about 10 minutes of gazing at the White one, I thought that planning the attack should be done soon, and who else but a genius like me would lead it?

Imagine, two days in a row, the first estimated attack that we would do after Mira explained the location and estimated total number of demons, whether hidden or not - my mood to finish and carry out the attack directly evaporated. My eyes were indeed staring and listening to the lines coming out of Mira's sweet and sexy mouth, but my mind was thinking of something else.

"(I wonder if the White one is enough?)"

I reached for the White one attached to my waist, gracefully perched, understanding the words of the sexy Mira. The White one just seemed to look at me. Seeing my demeanor, like a lowly human staring at Mira everywhere, forgive my eyes, Mira. Her round eyes sparkled, reflecting light onto the two human children in front of her.

"Or maybe it will take more than two days?" Mira interjected innocently in front of me. Meanwhile, I grinned at the idea that crossed my mind.

"(Should I just run away?)"

The White one seemed to speak,

"Where is your previous bravery and responsibility?" with a slight furrow of its brow.

I laughed to myself thinking about it. That was a bad idea. But it seemed I had to and had to accept it all, to know the best way to defeat them. Yes, if there were only ten or twenty? There were almost a thousand of them!! Isn't that insane? What if something happens to them both?

I swallowed, quickly dispelling those bad possibilities. Or perhaps Mira was right? Maybe there was only one way to eradicate them, by killing all the demons to the root without leaving any behind.

In the battle against demons, the White one would be more useful than the Black one, so I only brought it. Because fundamentally, the White one was a light element that demons disliked. I swallowed again, quickly dispelling that complicated explanation. Thanks to the 'see everything' skill, I knew exactly the positions of the demon lords in this area. There were definitely two strong demons in this region.
