Chapter 34 - No Different from Slaughtering a Chicken

Dorothy didn't hesitate. She drew the Magic Heaven Sword directly and knocked down a security guard without giving him a chance to retaliate.

Nowadays, for her, killing someone was no different from slaughtering a chicken.

Alberta and Jodie hesitated, but Dylan suddenly said coldly, "Have you forgotten? They were just about to attack you!"

"Please... spare us, we were wrong, it was all... all ordered by the head of the security team!" The remaining two security guards were scared out of their wits, crying and begging for mercy.

"Hurry up!" Dylan urged.

Alberta understood Dylan's good intentions. Finally, she gritted her teeth, disregarding the pleas of the security guards, and with one stroke, one of the security guards fell silent.

Seeing this, the last security guard, feeling hopeless, suddenly went crazy and lunged at Jodie, who was still struggling with her conscience.

Just as he was about to get close, Jodie instinctively raised her knife and pierced through the security guard's chest.

After twenty years of accumulated energy, such small characters couldn't harm her. She just couldn't get past that mental barrier.

With all the security guards dealt with, Dylan said to the three of them, "Remember!

Once someone harbors murderous or evil intentions towards you, don't expect them to change.

As long as they have the chance, they will never let you go! There are two things in this world that are most dangerous to confront: the sun, and human hearts!

Being soft-hearted towards enemies is equal to suicide!"

Looking at Dylan's cold eyes, the three women bowed their heads!

"If others don't provoke me, I won't provoke them! If others provoke me, I will retaliate!"

This has always been Dylan's principle.

If everything were peaceful, who would enjoy killing?

But now it's the end of the world. If someone tries to take your resources, then they must be killed!

Seeing that Alberta and the others seemed to accept it humbly, Dylan didn't say anything more.

He walked straight into the property office building, and the group of survivors inside immediately panicked, raising their belongings for defense.

Dylan smiled. Dealing with this motley crew was as easy as chopping vegetables.

However, he wasn't a psychopath. These people were clearly coerced by the security team and hadn't helped the security team against him just now.

So, he wasn't planning to harm them.

"You don't need to panic. Put down what you have in your hands, and I won't kill you."

Dylan sheathed his sword to prevent them from becoming overly nervous. The crowd had long witnessed Dylan's prowess and ruthlessness. If he wanted to kill them, wouldn't it be as easy as pie?

Terrified, they immediately dropped whatever they were holding upon hearing Dylan speak and awaited his judgment.

"I've already cleaned up all the zombies in this villa area. From now on, this entire villa area belongs to me. So, you can't stay here anymore!"

Dylan had long decided that the Purple Mountain villa area had excellent terrain, was easy to defend, and had so many villas, making it the most suitable as his base. That's why he chose to have a villa here in the first place.

"Can we go down the mountain now?" someone cautiously asked.

Many people had wanted to descend the mountain long ago.

There was no food or drink here, and perhaps they could find something to eat in the city.

However, the main entrance was filled with monsters, or what Dylan called zombies.

They didn't dare to act recklessly and were forced to hide in the property office building.

Now that the zombies had been cleared out, they naturally couldn't wait to go down the mountain.

"Of course, you can! But there's a condition!"

As soon as Dylan spoke, everyone tensed up. Generally, in such situations, it couldn't be a good condition!

"Clean up all the zombie remains in the villa area before you leave!"

Dylan thought about it. Those zombie remains looked disgusting.

How long would he have to clean them up by himself? With these people available, it was a waste not to use their free labor.

Upon hearing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Putting in some effort wouldn't cost them anything.

Moreover, if someone else had cleared out the zombies, it would be difficult for them to leave anyway.

"Okay, okay!" Everyone agreed in unison.

"But let me make it clear in advance, I'm not responsible for food. You'll have to sort it out yourselves!"

Dylan quickly added as they agreed so readily.

He didn't want to waste his food on these people. There were some leftovers in those villas, enough to fill their stomachs.

After giving it some thought, everyone realized that with so many villas, they could surely find something to eat. They all readily agreed, with no objections.

"All right, stop dawdling! Get to work quickly. The sooner you finish, the sooner you can go down the mountain!"

Dylan shouted, and everyone rushed out as if they were injected with chicken blood.

However, gradually, these people began to regret it.The villas looked as if they had been plundered, with only some frozen and rotten vegetables and fruits left. Finding a packet of instant noodles would be considered a luxury.

What was even more unbearable were the remains of the zombies. Either they had half their brains missing or their intestines were all over the place, making people feel nauseous just looking at them.

The little junk food they had managed to eat was immediately vomited back up.

Enduring this ordeal, they finally cleared out the zombie remains from the villa area by nightfall.

At this point, everyone looked at Dylan with awe. How powerful must someone be to kill so many zombies? And most of them were killed with just one blow.

They were grateful they hadn't opposed Dylan; otherwise, they probably wouldn't have been able to keep their lives, let alone their whole bodies.

"Alright! You can leave now!"

Dylan was quite satisfied with these people's efficiency.

Upon hearing this, everyone bid farewell to Dylan. In the end, only two women remained.

"Why haven't you left yet?" Dylan asked.

"This is my only home. I don't know where else to go!" said one of the villa's female owners.

"I've been working at the property all along. My hometown is tens of thousands of miles away. I don't know where to go either," said the other woman.

These two women were not fools. They could tell that Dylan was definitely a powerful person. Staying with him would undoubtedly be safer than going elsewhere.

"Have you awakened any abilities?" Dylan asked.

After carefully observing the two women, he couldn't see anything special about them other than being young, having average looks, and decent figures. If they had awakened any abilities, they could stay and do odd jobs.

"What's an ability?" one of them asked.

"It's whether you've noticed any changes in your body before disasters strike," Dylan explained.

After thinking for a while, both women shook their heads, realizing that apart from being hungrier than before, they hadn't noticed any changes. Dylan sighed.

"In that case, there's nothing I can do. I don't keep dead weight around."

He was about to drive the two women away when the female villa owner suddenly pleaded, "Big brother! I beg you. Otherwise, look at how big this villa area is, and you don't even have anyone to guard it! How about I guard the gate for you?"

"Yes, yes, brother, as long as you can let me stay, I'm willing to do anything!"
