"Let's do it guys!" I exclaimed.
Ray and others, including me, had started to bring down the serpent. Ray and Voila relentlessly had started to attack the Giant Serpent as Ryuji was sending earth spikes in a bullet speed, to inflict damage on the serpent. Kurt was trying his best to freeze and delay the movements of serpent.
Reina was protecting Kurt and Elena so that serpent won't do anything at long range either. Giant Serpent was struggling to go against the close range while using it's fangs and claws to drive Ray and Voila off but was unable to do it due to my powerful magic buffs. My magic buffs (buff is basically boost up for speed, stamina, strength or defence) are above average so it should not be neglected so easily.
The serpent tried to use it's tail for a surprise attack with insane speed however-
"Can't even touch me?"
Ray dodged the attack, thanks to the enhanced speed, and countered the serpent with his weapon.
"Ray! Look out-" exclaimed Voila.
The serpent suddenly launched an attack with it's talon-like claws but the serpent was frozen for a split second to let Ray avoid the attack. Even though Kurt's magic was not effective against the serpent, he was still able to use that minimum split second to protect others and besides their speed was enhanced so they managed to utilise that split second.
Just as the serpent was going to attack with it's fang, it got hit by the huge powerful light projectile that was launched by Elena. When serpent turned it's attention towards Kurt and Elena, it unleashed the dragon breathe. However, Reina protected them with her magic. Her water element had not much effect even though it should be effective but Ray and Elena's magic strength were higher than Reina's but still she was able to defend others from dragon breathe.
Ray and Voila launched the attack to stop the dragon breathe for not allowing the attack for a long time to avoid putting pressure on Reina's barrier.
"This way, we can win this! Let's not give up and do our best as a team!" I exclaimed.
"Yes!"
While Ryuji replied, he put his magic energy a little more and delayed some time. After that, he launched strong earth spikes. They were in medium size but they had speed and strength in it. The serpent didn't seemed to affected by it that much but it's balance was interrupted by Ryuji's attack.
"Elena!"
Ray looked for an opportunity as he signaled Elena to use more strength and magic energy into her attack to target the serpent while it was not on it's guard. Ray had also unleashed his flame dance again. Both Ray and Elena's attacks inflicted critical damage on the serpent as it was unable to react and defend two incoming powerful attacks.
"ROAAAAARRRRRRR"
It was groaning in pain, proving that the non-stop attacks do really inflicted damages on it.
Others made some distance as the serpent fell down.
"Did we defeated it?" asked Voila for confirmation.
"....Not really..... look." Ray pointed out.
The serpent stood up and looked as if it was not the end of the fight yet.
"*ROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRR*"
"Ugh... it's roar is terrifying somehow...." I said while I had covered my ears when it roared.
"I know right...tch....I can still sense the strength and will to fight within this serpent..." said Kurt, with a stern look.
"Look out!" I exclaimed.
The serpent used dragon breathe, however, in a divergence manner.
"Wait wha-"
All of us was hit by the attack critically as we had lowered our guards, thinking that the dragon breathe will be focused in one specific area.
"....ugh....it hurts!...." said Elena.
"Damn it!" exclaimed Ray
"Everyone come closer to me! It is going to attack again!" exclaimed Reina as she requested to come near her to be under her protection.
Before the serpent used it's dragon breathe, we came near to Reina as she protectes us with her magical ability.
"Ugh...Not only this attack is strong but it's range has been increased, spreading everywhere! I can't....hold for...a long time guys!"
"This is bad! Can't we do anything? Should we rush and try to stop it with our combined brute force?" asked Kurt.
"No, it won't work. Just look at it's magical strength...Even if we do that, it's not going to work that way...we need to find another way somehow, Reina can't hold it." replied Voila with a stern expression.
The continuous attack never seemed to be stopping as if the serpent had unlimited magic energy.
"Magic energy?.....Wait! Does that mean!"
"Voila! Can you try to use your element manipulation?" I asked.
"Yes, but I don't think I have mastered or more accurately I am not even at a decent level to use it against powerful attacks like this..."
"Don't worry about it just combine your magic with Reina. It might be complicated to use but I believe you can do it Voila." I said.
"But...Okay I will try, better than doing nothing." she hesitated but then agreed.
"Combine it in a way that can enhance the strength of the barrier and if possible, please try to look opportunities for a counter attack as a bonus."
She nodded.
"Kurt, as you know, we can't attack from inside but when I signal you then use your freeze spell inside this barrier!" I said.
"I don't know what you are thinking but okay I will do whatever you say Chloe."
"Ryuji please use your ground barrier to support Kurt when I signal." I said.
"Understood!"
"Elena, use prepare and focus as much energy as possible in your attack, ofcourse don't overdo it."
"Yes!"
"Ray, I would like you to rush quickly when I enhance your speed and attack. I won't enhance your defence to put more energy into your speed and attack but don't worry it will be fine."
"Heh, look who's ordering now. Alright Chloe, we will do what you told us. I hope it works." He replied.
"Yes, if we work together." I replied.
"Voila, continue please!" I said.
"Here I go!"
She was struggling as it is not so simple to use complex magics, especially combination magics. However, she had successfully used her element manipulation to bolster the defence of the barrier by consuming consistently small magic energy from the continuous dragon breathe.
Reina was able to hold a little longer more with the help of boost up that Voila's magic granted.
"Kurt use your freeze magic now so that Reina could easily rest as she can't hold any longer, Voila's magic was to eradicate some pressure so that Reina could easily stop her magic while Voila's magic hold a little bit more of Reina's barrier to support for few seconds."
Kurt immediately used up his magic to freeze tha barrier and as I signales Ryuji, he had supported Kurt's magic.
"Voila, transfer the stolen magic that you got from the dragon breathe in order to enhance even more strength behind Elena's magic!" I exclaimed.
She did what I told her.
"We can't hold this for a long time, it's going to break!" exclaimed Ryuji.
"Yes I know but now it's time break it ourselves. Elena use everything you have got!" I exclaimed.
"Here I go! Take this!"
Elena launched a strong huge light projectile with terrifying strength behind due to high consumption of magic energy and with Voila's manipulation skills where her attack even got dragon breathe enhancement on it.
The barrier broke out as it contained no energy due to no longer magic energy in it so the attack easily passed through the barrier as it thrust through the dragon breathe and the serpent got hit by the attack.
"*RRROOOAAAAARRRRRRR*"
"It worked! It worked!" exclaimed Reina.
The serpent was groaning in pain even more than before and it was due to high level of magic attack that took some time but in the end it worked out perfectly.
"You are amazing Elena." said Reina.
"Y-Yeah, but please, it's a little embarassing." said Elena while she looked embarassed.
"Thank you Elena, with your help, we are able to escape it's dragon breathe."
"I think it was all thanks to our teamwork." she replied.
"As for the last blow-" said Ray as he suddenly rushed towards the serpent.
"Beat the crap out of it Ray!"
Ray used his flame dance with a little bit more magic energy to enhance his attack and the violent tornado inflicted even more damages on the Giant Serpent as it continued to assualt for a minute. Then after the attack Ray backed off as he made some distance. The Giant Serpent collapsed on the ground at last.
"That was incredible Ray and Elena. Especially your quick thinking Chloe." said Ryuji.
"Eh? No it was our teamwork. We worked together to overcome this." I replied.
"She is right we have worked together after all." said Reina.
"Guys, I don't want to interrupt but..."
"Huh?"
Kurt pointed out towards the Giant Serpent as he looked surprised. Wen we saw the serpent on its feet with its four legs, we were all shocked by it.
"How come!" exclaimed Elena.
"Tch... Never excepted this." said Ray with a stern look.
