Vent, one of the Four Dark Mages, was confined along with the Mayor at the Azoth Cave as they had also sensed the incoming danger. These two are going to get the payback for what they had done however before that-

I had managed to cancel the effects of the ritual and stopped Elena. Elena's parents told me that the magic item had 70% chances to cancel the effects since I was not the choosen one. Even 30% was scary as the ritual can't be stopped, even by the key, if it gets started. The only way was to depend on this 70% rate.
"Don't do anything reckless things without asking us, Elena! This time, it was fine but what if we had really not realised what you were going to do? We....would have lost your already...."
