The next day, while handing out pamphlets, Shin noticed many posters on the wall that read
"The New Triumvirate," with the subtext "We will help you."
He took the poster and went home. Curious, he searched for it on the internet and discovered that many people were coming to the group, especially families who had lost loved ones like him.
Hoping to find his parents, Shin went to them and saw many people and waiting for someone.
Shin became nervous as he thought he had gone to the wrong place and that it was a cult group. After a while, a man came to the front of the group, but Shin couldn't see his face from where he was standing.
The man advised everyone to persevere and not give up because they would soon see their loved ones again.
After the program, Shin waited for the crowd to clear and looked for the man who spoke earlier. He saw the man and quickly approached him.
"Hello I'm Cheon-Shin"
And the man asked, "Can I help you with anything? I'm Eurian of the Triumvirate"
Shin didn't hesitate and asked him how they would find their families and if he had any evidence of how their families disappeared.
Eurian was a little annoyed with Shin, but he smiled. "You know, many people have asked me that. As I said earlier, you will soon see your loved ones."
When Eurian was about to leave, Shin stopped him. Eurian was about to shout at him when he suddenly received a phone call. He looked at the CCTV camera and said,
"Yes, Lord." After hanging up, he said, "Follow me."
Shin followed Eurian until they reached an altar.
There, Eurian knelt and said, "He's here, Lord Zen."
Zen replied, "You can leave."
Shin was scared because of Zen's strange voice, and he couldn't see him because it was too dark.
"I'm Zen, one of the leaders of the triumvirate," "Would you like to see your parents again?"
Shin replied, "Where are they? Do you know where they are?"
"Of course, I know where they are," Zen said.
Suddenly, Zen's hand came out of the darkness and grabbed Shin's head.
He showed Shin a vision of his parents seemingly inside a glass with water and plugged with devices in their bodies as if they were one of the experiments.
Then, Zen let go of Shin and appeared before him. Shin was afraid of what he saw because a big man dressed in black and looking like a demon appeared before him.
Shin's heart began to race as he recalled the figure in black from his dream. He felt an overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety, and he quickly hurried out of the building, determined to get away from any potential danger.
As he ran, he noticed that Eurian was following him, and his fear intensified at the sight of his unusual speed.
Just when he thought he couldn't run any longer, Zen appeared and intervened, telling Eurian to let Shin go.
Shin continued to run until he found a taxi, and during the ride, he was restless and unable to shake off the disturbing images that plagued him.
He felt a sense of urgency to report what he had seen, so he told the driver to take him to the police station.
When he arrived, he was greeted by police chief Jin-Sang, who immediately noticed that Shin looked pale and shaken.
"Shin, what happened to you?" Shin was unable to answer, and before he knew it, he had passed out.
When he awoke, he found himself in a hospital bed with a throbbing headache. Memories of what had occurred flooded back to him, and he realized that he had to tell the police what he had seen.
Just then, the doctor entered the room with Jin-Sang by his side. The doctor advised Jin-Sang to leave the room so that Shin could rest.
"It's okay. I need to tell him something important about my parents and the missing people."
During their conversation, Shin showed Jin-Sang the Triumvirate poster and explained everything he had witnessed.
Jin-Sang couldn't believe it because it was the first time something like this had happened in the city.
"We will take care of this case, you can rest for now,"
Shin held Jin-Sang tightly because he was very scared. "Be careful, what I saw was not a joke."
"Don't worry, Shin."
Jin-Sang immediately left to investigate the Triumvirate.
The next day, when Shin left the hospital, he saw Jin-Sang waiting for him at the door. "Come with us."
They went to the police station to show Chris the investigation, but when they arrived, the other police officers were angry with Shin and suspected him of going crazy.
"We saw nothing of the Triumvirate you speak of."
"Impossible! I saw all of them, including the people they tricked."
Jin-Sang and Shin left the police station and went to the Triumvirate's location. Unfortunately, when they got there, there were no people or anything inside the building, and the Triumvirate was nowhere to be found.
Shin was devastated and fell to his knees, crying.
"No! No, it's not possible! It's not possible! They're gone. We have to find them!"
Jin-Sang held Shin by his shoulder. "Get some rest, Shin."
Shin looked at Jin-Sang with anger. "What do you think of me? Going crazy? I saw what I saw!"
"Alright, let's say what you say is true, but how are we going to find them?" Shin couldn't answer.
Jin-Sang tried to calm Shin down and assured him that they would find a way to solve the case. They left the building, determined to find out the truth behind the Triumvirate's disappearance.
After the events, Shin's visions worsened. He no longer eats and leaves the house. He lost a lot of weight and suffered from severe depression.
He thought of committing suicide once, but he couldn't do it. He prays everyday but the problem is still there. He couldn't figure out where to start looking for his parents.
Sometimes, he was talking to himself and slowly going crazy. A few days later, Jin-Sang went to check on him.
When he entered the house, he was surprised that Shin was almost unrecognizable by his appearance.
Jin-Sang was saddened by what he saw and dropped the food for Shin. He quickly ran and took Shin to the hospital.
Shin, who was once kind to others, respectful to parents, a good example of society, and once brought honor to the country,
is gone. –
* In the middle of the desert, a group of servants carrying a cage with a man tied his hands and feet, blindfolded, and a cloak covering his hair. They brought him onto a stage where a large crowd had gathered.
The servants cautiously opened the cage, while a speaker stood before the audience, explaining the upcoming event. The speaker's voice boomed,
"Ladies and gentlemen! - This is the main event of the evening! - Presenting! The most valuable item in this auction!"
The anticipation in the air was noticeable as the servants carefully removed the item from the cage.
"Are you guys excited?!" the speaker exclaimed, trying to hype up the crowd.
"We all know that there was a time when a love affair between humans and demons took place."
The servants removed the blindfold and cloth covering his hair. The audience was shocked to see a man with white hair standing before them.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Behold! The remaining race of Damion!"
The crowd's reactions were mixed. Some wanted him dead, while others wanted to buy him and make him a servant. However, everyone was curious as to why the man did not move at all.
As the auction commenced, a group of mercenaries suddenly stormed into the venue, brandishing their weapons and causing an uproar among the people of the auction. Their objective was to steal the "remaining race of Damion". The situation quickly turned chaotic.
"Intruders! Kill them all!"
During the conflict between the mercenaries and the people of the auction, the Damion begins to stir as if awakening from slumber.
Gradually, he opens his eyes.
"Where am I? Why am I tied up? What is happening? Why are they fighting?"
As the auction progresses, the mercenaries notices that most of the people in the auction have been killed. Suddenly, a girl mercenary approaches him.
"Hello I'm Nihan. What's your name?
The Damion tried to speak but it was still difficult to speak
*whispers
