Chereads / Cheon Shin: Memento Mori / Chapter 9 - WHITE AURA

Chapter 9 - WHITE AURA

Shin and Sam made their way towards the Examination room. Shin couldn't help but feel amazed at the grandeur of the school's interior. It was the first time he had ever seen such a large and imposing educational institution. The silence between them was broken by Sam's question.

"Shin, how old are you?" with a smile on his face.

"Ah, 22 Professor, Sam," replied Shin nervously.

"Haha! Don't call me Professor, just Sam. Okay?" Sam chuckled.

"Okay, Sam," Shin said in a low voice, feeling more relaxed.

"yes, I think we are the same age, wait a minute, how did you know your age?"

they suddenly stopped and Shin just looked at him and didn't know what to say.

"Hmmm, Never mind." and they continued walking.

"I saw you at Mountgrand. And I was amazed by what you did" Sam said, his tone filled with happiness.

Shin stopped walking and looked up at Sam with a mixture of confusion and guilt. "I'm sorry for what I did. Because of me, people doubted the Reverend" his voice laced with regret.

"Haha! I said I was amazed by what you did" Sam replied, trying to ease Shin's concerns.

Shin was curious and asked, "Why?"

"Because that person was lucky. If the Reverend had fought there, he might not be alive now. But you removed the evil soul, and it was the first time I had ever seen it. And secondly, you did 'Divine Healing'." Sam explained.

As they entered the examination area, they found themselves in a large room that was eerily quiet. Every wall was painted white, and the bright lights overhead made it difficult to look directly at them. Upstairs, there was a thick glass barrier that allowed a person to be seen below. In the center of the room was a cushion on the floor to sit on.

Sam took the opportunity to explain more about Divine Healing to Shin.

"Divine Healing is not easy, you still need to study medicine. But with the help of Divine Power, you don't need devices anymore. It will speed up the healing process as long as you know what to do or how to heal them."

They walked to the center of the room, and Sam motioned for Shin to sit on the cushion. Shin sat down and felt a sense of calm wash over him.

Sam then asked, "So, how did you do that Shin? Do you have a background in medicine?"

"Ah, No, I don't even know how I did that. All I know is that I wanted him to get well." Shin replied.

Sam tried to make sense of what he had witnessed and said, "Hmmm, actually that's a stupid question because you're a Damion. Maybe it was your other power that did it, but I saw a yellow aura."

Sam then went upstairs and asked Shin to close his eyes and concentrate. At first, nothing happened, but after a few minutes, a red aura suddenly appeared around Shin's body. Sam watched in fear as the aura grew stronger and brighter. Suddenly, Sam's head began to ache, and he grabbed his head in pain. "It's impossible, Demon power can't enter here" Sam muttered under his breath.

Sam tried to call out to Shin, but he was afraid of disturbing his concentration.

Suddenly, something spoke to Shin's mind.

"Hey kid," the voice said.

"Huh? Who are you?" Shin asked, his heart racing.

"Haha, you're so quick to forget, kid," the voice replied.

"Are you the one who did it? You're the one who cast out the demon?" Shin asked.

"No, it's you and no one else. That's why I chose you from the beginning" the voice said.

"You chose? What do you mean?" Shin asked, his mind racing with possibilities.

"No more questions, kid. Just keep doing what you're doing, and I promise you I'll help you find your parents" the voice said before falling silent.

Shin's red aura continued to grow, and Sam struggled to maintain his balance as the energy filled the room. Suddenly, the red aura disappeared, and a white aura took its place.

Kilian came to Sam's rescue and asked, "Sam, are you okay?"

Sam and Kilian were both shocked by what they saw. "White Aura?" Sam said.

Shin opened his eyes, and his surroundings were in ruins. He quickly made his way upstairs to check on Sam.

"Professor Sam!" Shin shouted.

When he got there, he saw Kilian and Sam, who were both relieved to see that he was okay.

"Shin, I told you to call me only Sam. Haha!" Sam said with a trembling voice.

After everyone had settled down, Shin was allowed to rest in his room at school while Sam and Kilian discussed the incredible power that Shin had demonstrated during the examination.

Kilian asked Sam, "Sam, what happened? It's the first time I've seen such an aura, and it's white."

Sam was deep in thought because he couldn't explain it either. He replied, "I don't know, I haven't read about a white aura in the Sacred Book either."

"Couldn't it be because of his Demon Aura?" Kilian suggested.

"Maybe. But what I remember is that Gabrielo mentioned something about entities that have a white aura, but they don't exist in this world."

"Are you sure about what you're saying?"

"Right now, I'm still confused, so let's observe Shin first."

After their conversation, Sam went to greet Shin in his room.

Sam knocked on Shin's door and asked, "Shin, can I come in?"

Shin opened the door and replied, "Come in profess... ahh Sam."

"How are you, Shin?"

"I'm okay."

"Have you ever seen a white aura come out of you before?"

"No. That was the first time. The feeling was strange. It felt so peaceful, not like the red aura, where I felt all anger."

Shin noticed that Sam was deep in thought and asked, "Why? Is there a problem with the white aura that came out of me?"

"Nothing, but you are the only one who can do it, and there is no mention of a white aura in the Sacred Book."

"Sacred Book?"

"Yes, it is owned by Gabrielo. He helped the Reverend during the war between the Triumvirate. He always loved children, so he likes to adopt, and I'm the first one. I consider him my father, and when we arrived here in Reverend, we met EN and Nihan, whom I consider my siblings." Sam explained.

Sam continued, "When Gabrielo died, he passed the book to the Reverend so they could study the Divine Power. But it was written in a different language, and only I could read it."

Shin smiled and said, "Hmmm. Gabrielo. I think he's an angel."

"An Angel?"

"Ah. Haha. Never mind," Shin thought of it because of the name "Gabriel."

Shin asked, "May I see the Sacred Book?"

"Yeah Sure."

After they talked, they went to the place where the Sacred Book was hidden.

They entered a room that looked like a warehouse, and there was a hidden door. When they opened the door, there was a staircase going down.

When they arrived at the bottom of the staircase, a large door was protected by a Divine Barrier with guards. When they reached the end of the hallway, they took an elevator to go down again.

At the bottom, there was another large door with guards and a Divine Barrier. Inside the room, the Sacred Book was placed in the middle.

Sam took the Sacred Book and gave it to Shin. Shin opened the book and was surprised because he also understood what was written in it.

Shin asked, "Huh? How do I understand this?"

"What do you mean?" Sam is confused.

"I can read what's written inside."

Sam also couldn't explain how Shin understood the book.

While Shin was reading the book, Sam's phone rang.

"Professor Sam! Help us! Taejoon is out of his mind!" said the caller.

"Taejoon? The bully?" Sam asked.

"Yes, Taejoon!"

"Oh no!" Sam exclaimed.

Shin immediately returned the book and they hurried to where Taejoon was.

As they ran, Shin asked who Taejoon was. "The big bully at school, but we warned him and he listened, so I don't know what triggered him again" Sam replied.

"Why are we rushing?" Shin asked.

"Taejoon is one of the strongest students and has the potential to be among the Elites. We can't let his reputation be damaged"

When they arrived, they saw Taejoon holding a student by the head and another student approached them.

"What happened?" Sam asked.

The student was too afraid to explain.

"Hey, answer me!" Sam got angry.

"Loyd asked us to tease Taejoon. He ignored us at first, but when Loyd insisted, he suddenly lost his temper" the student explained.

"Where are the others?" Sam asked.

He and Shin found the other students lying unconscious.

"Damn it! Hey Taejoon! It's me, Sam!"

Taejoon didn't respond, and he seemed out of his mind.

"The Demon possessed him," Shin said.

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I can feel the presence of the demon in his body"

Shin suddenly ran towards Taejoon. Because of his speed, Sam didn't see him. Taejoon was surprised because Loyd suddenly disappeared while he was holding him by the head. Shin put Loyd on the floor to rest and he stared at Taejoon.

"Hey, big man!"

Shin suddenly summoned a Gauntlet in both of his hands, and it was covered in a white aura. Sam was shocked.

"What? He can do Divine Manipulation too?" Sam couldn't believe what was happening, and the other students also witnessed it.

"Couldn't it be because he read the book? But it's impossible. He just read the book for the first time, and Weapon Manipulation isn't that easy." Sam said.

Shin punched Taejoon, sending him flying, but he got up immediately and spat blood.

"Not bad,"

Taejoon rushed towards Shin and punched him with all his strength, but Shin blocked it with his two hands.

"Hehe," Shin smiled, feeling the excitement of fighting again, like when he was an MMA Fighter.
