Chapter 15 - Chapter 15, Finishing Banquet.

Nolan, a bystander with his own enigmatic presence, shot a disapproving glare at the offenders, extinguishing the venomous remarks with a mere look. Amara, immersed in her dance, remained blissfully unaware of the momentary disturbance. Her movements, an expression of fluidity and grace, continued to paint an otherworldly picture. The crowd, subdued by Nolan's silent intervention, refocused on the mesmerizing dance. As the haunting melody reached its zenith, a figure materialized beside Amara. The mysterious man, his presence an alluring enigma, joined her in the dance. Their eyes met, and a shock registered on Amara's face. However, it quickly transformed into delight. Recognition lit up her eyes as she realized that the mysterious man was an old friend, someone she had missed dearly. Her eyes sparkled with joy, mirroring the soft smile and the glint in the man's eyes. In that moment, the dance became more than a performance; it was a reunion of kindred spirits. The world around them faded as the dance unfolded with a newfound intimacy, a shared history echoing in each graceful movement. As the final notes lingered, the mysterious man executed a breathtaking move and vanished, leaving Amara standing alone in the center of the dance floor. The room, once filled with admiration, now erupted into chaos as people sought the vanished dancer. Nolan, his gaze fixed on the empty space beside Amara, remained stoic. The air pulsed with the lingering essence of the mysterious dancer, leaving behind a sense of longing that echoed through the now tumultuous banquet hall. Amidst the whispers and commotion, Amara discovered a delicate white rose nestled in her hair, a silent token left behind by the enigmatic dancer who had stolen both the dance floor and her heart. The petals whispered of a connection that transcended the realms of the visible, leaving Amara with a lingering sense of mystery and wonder, and the warmth of a friendship rekindled in the moonlit dance. Even though this was a small moment they had shared, Amara knew who he was, his presence here and the shock on everyone's faces explained enough. Chaos was about to begin before the High Sovereign Celestial started to speak. "Everyone remain calm, this is an order. We will look into the matter, Amara, Nolan and Alijah. I want to speak with you three." Tension arose in the ballroom when those names were said but none of the three were nervous about this. Instead of something serious the King only scolded them for not doing anything because of the intruder who had suddenly danced with Amara, she was also scolded for even dancing with him and not knowing his identity. Everyone who was watching felt a bit relieved after hearing that it was about the king just being worried and nothing else. As the party continued Amara went to the balcony with Alijah to get fresh air, after wasting her breath on useless interactions she just wanted to have a bit of alone time. Alijah came with her just so nothing bad could happen to her. The silence between the two was comforting for one another, they gazed at the starry skies with the sun and moon standing over each other. The music of the party made it even better, constellations were shining brightly and it was peaceful. There was no one rushing them to come back inside the banquet hall for small talk. As Amara was about to tell Alijah about the scene he witnessed in the restaurant someone spoke up before her. "I've been trying to talk with you for some time now Princess." When Alijah and Amara turned around to see who had walked in on them with fierce glances to each other they immediately stopped. Alijah went over to greet the man who was standing there. "Were you waiting long my Viceroy?" Alijah asked him and he didn't even bat an eye towards him but could only stare at Amara with impatience. "What do you want, your grace?" She spoke out nonchalantly with a soft tone while staring back at him not wanting to look away. "If I said you, would you throw a fit again?" He tried to make a joke that wasn't funny to Amara which made her roll her eyes and turn around and ignore his complete presence. "It was just a small joke, there's no need for you to react like that." Alijah quickly stepped in front of him. "I am sorry Viceroy Aire but since the Princess is not in the mood to talk to you, I recommend you leave." Aire raised an eyebrow after hearing that he simply did not understand why she is not interested in talking with him, her old best friend. "May I ask why?" He inquired of her. "No, no you may not." She replied to him, shocked by her answer. He wanted to take closer steps towards her since he was at his limit of getting ignored and forgotten by her. Alijah however stood in his way of getting near to her. "Move out of the way." He requested of him but Alijah still did not move a muscle after hearing that. "I have to refuse." Aire became completely frustrated at this situation. "Why are you still acting like a child? All I want is to talk with you Amara. Is that really hard to ask for!" He shouted at her still not stopping staring at her, Alijah had to push Aire back a bit. Since some people at the banquet were starting to peek over at the scene out of curiosity. "Viceroy Aire, please leave Her Highness alone." Alijah said with a stern voice and placing his hand on his sword. "Are you wishing to duel me? You are acting like you would win." Aire mocked him. "He might not win but it is a different story for me is it not dear brother ?" A hand was placed on Aire's shoulder making him look back at who was touching him so improperly. It was Nolan who finally decided to make an appearance in the scene. A tense gaze was given to Aire by him before he slapped away Nolan's hand. He put one finger in front of his mouth before giving him a warning. "Please don't embarrass yourself here, others might listen if you raise your voice at me." He smiled before walking over to where Amara was standing. "Perhaps the both of you should finish your conversation some else where." Aire understood the hint and apologised to Amara before walking away from the scene, a deep sigh could be heard coming from Alijah's mouth. "Was he always this pushy?" He asked Amara who finally turned around after the whole situation. She shook her head and also wondered why he was so demanding to meet her today. She is contemplating on leaving earlier since it had almost been three hours since she had arrived, if she went back now three days would have passed in the human realm. This also means Husani being alone for three days, did he even eat well? But why would she care if it is not like she is her mother, right? But if she leaves for too long he might think that her ways of taking care of someone who's inside of her house aren't proper! These thoughts started to cloud Amara's mind and could only snap out of them if someone yelled out her name. "Amara, are you okay?" A dark menacing power came from beside her which made her put her guard up but she had not realised it was just Alijah that was about to place a comforting hand on her shoulder before she pushed it away with full speed, surprising not only Alijah and Nolan but also herself. It was out of instinct and fear of feeling such power coming from him. She was confused why he felt like a threat towards her and immediately apologised. "I am sorry Alijah, please don't take it personally." She muttered out and he told her that it was fine. The feeling she felt coming from him was lingering in her chest, making it uncomfortable for her to breathe. "Perhaps I should leave and return home." She suggested, while rubbing her temples and walking at a fast pace towards the exit of the balcony, the two men followed her while trying to catch up and greeting everyone who wanted to strike up a conversation with them. They wanted to keep her at arms length distance from themselves, they were worried she might feel sick after entering the Astral Gates after drinking and moving around that much. However Amara wasn't feeling well, the whispers around her were only starting to get louder and louder by the minute. She wanted to leave and not come back for the time being, she felt her breath getting heavier and heavier. It feels like she is being pierced through her lungs when she is at the exit hall. She had trembled a bit before falling down. The two men offered a hand but she declined their help and stood up on her own, muttering words such as I should've listened and blaming herself for something the men couldn't understand. "Bring me home." She demanded of both of them. "Yes Your Highness." Both of them said Alijah immediately began to walk over to the carriages outside to tell his personal Coachman to get ready and set an Astral Gate ready towards Earth. Nolan was trying to stabilise her Mana Flow but it was as if her Flow was full of Energy Turbulence that boiled underneath her skin waiting to burst out. He couldn't predict the ways of the Flow, it was a complete mess within herself. The Flow was resistant towards help from him which made Amara cough up blood for a bit. The more he helped her, the more the Flow was tearing itself apart from her. He decided to pick her up after seeing Alijah waving from the outside that it was safe to get ready to go. She repeated the same words over and over again, she knew she was at fault for using her Mana before the required time however what she didn't expect was that the consequences would be this severe. It felt like she was being stabbed at least a hundred times by a sword through her heart before she was able to enter the carriage she had passed out in and woke up in a dream. Amara looked around confused and relieved after she was finally revealed from the pain she had, she saw a dark red light shining as bright as the sun and stars. She felt like it was observing and watching her every movement. It was as if she were to make one wrong move it'll choose to explode on the spot. She took her time to think about the situation and decided to touch it and see where it would bring her tonight.
