Chapter 19 - CHAPTER 19 - A Strange Encounter III

~Crash!~

Smashing through a small Stone Mountain, the monkey creature did it's best to steady itself in midair before it landed, only that.....

~Bam!~

The ninja guy was not yet done with it. What followed next was the continuous vanish, punch and crash sequence.

~Whoosh~

~Bam!~

~Crash!~

This went on for almost thirty seconds and Tisane could barely set his eyes on the ninja or the monster. All he could see were the little shock waves emanating here and there.

~Boom!~

~Skraah!!~

~Slam! crash!~

Tisane heard the painful cry of the monkey creature followed by a loud crumbling and rumbling sound. Stepping a bit forward, Tisane could clearly see a long deep fissure on the rocky landscape and at the end of this fissure lay a creature that was barely moving.

Tisane shifted his eyes and saw the ninja landing from the air with a thud.

"Is it dead?" Tisane couldn't help but ask.

"Not yet, but it will be soon" the ninja said as he walked steadily towards the monster.

The monkey creature barely opened its eyes when it saw it's nemesis standing before it. For the first time since they encountered it, the creature had deep rooted fear in its eyes as its body shivered uncontrollably.

Seeing the unusual behavior of the monster, Tisane was quite shocked as he glanced at the ninja whom stood before the creature with an imposing demeanor.

The ninja was not one to waste time as he pointed his finger at the creature and the next thing that happened was the appearance of a small ball of light that emitted a bluish glow at the tip of the ninja's finger.

When the monkey creature saw the light ball dancing at the tip of the ninja's finger, it let out an agitated scream as it scrambled out of the rocky ditch and tried to run away.

Tisane watched as the monkey creature ran as fast as its could away from the ninja into the distance. All the while, the ninja just stood there and watched while keeping his right arm outstretched and his finger pointed at the monster's escaping figure.

Tisane noticed that the light ball dancing at the tip of the ninja's finger was actually expanding in size until it became as big as a baseball.

~Beewwww!~

The light ball was released as it sped towards the monster. Noticing the approaching danger, the creature increased it's speed as it tried to outrun the ball of light.

Unfortunately, as the monkey creature increased it's speed, so did the ball of light. The creature shrieked in fright as it saw the ball of light getting closer and closer.

Deciding to try another escape method, the monster's body glowed scarlet as it suddenly sped off in another direction. Unknown to the monster, the ninja had earlier released two more light balls in the left and right direction seconds after he had released the first light ball.

As it sped off, the monkey creature noticed that the first ball of light was no more giving chase. But the creature was ignorant of the danger lurking ahead as it rejoiced in its escapade and swore with a hateful growl. The monster glanced back at the ninja far away and vowed revenge with a murderous glare.

Tisane watched as the creature sped off into the distance. Well it was unfortunate that they couldn't kill it but it was quite a wondrous miracle that they could be able to fend off such a demonic monster.

The monkey creature slowed down it's running speed as it seemed to relax when.....

~Woomm~

~Skrrrk?!~

~Beewwww!!~

A huge ball of light as big as two footballs, materialised just few meters in front of the monster. Due to the sudden surprise, the creature was caught off guard as the ball of light sped in it's direction.

Sighting the impending danger, the monster was caught in a tight spot as it couldn't dodge or evade but could only block or parry the attack.

~Boom!~

~Skraah!!~

The creature roared in pain as it was forcefully thrown backwards as the ball of light exploded on impact.

********************

Tisane walked towards the ninja who still looked calm while standing on one spot.

"Hey um, thanks for the timely rescue. I can't imagine what would have happened if you hadn't showed up when you did"

Tisane noticed that the ninja was silent and non responsive to his words of gratitude. Staring at the ninja that stood unmoving like a black statue, Tisane could only scratch his head and sigh with a tired look on his face.

This was the craziest and most mind blowing experience that he ever had. Now he missed the simple and ordinary lifestyle of the world he grew up and lived in. Tisane was about to insistently inquire from the ninja about a way to get the hell out of this place when...

~Boom!!~

Tisane could see the flash of light in the distance as he wondered aloud "what the heck is that?!"

~Skraah!!~

Tisane froze as he heard that familiar outcry 'was the nightmare not yet over?' Tisane's gaze was fixated on the direction of the monstrous outcry. A figure could be seen in the distance as it was trying to evade and escape the various balls of light that were ambushing it.

Tisane held his mouth agape and his eyes wide open at the scene that was unfolding before him. Right now, the monkey creature looked like a wounded rabbit that was trying to escape a group of persistent hunters. It was such a pitiful sight for a monster that almost took Tisane's life.

At this point, the ninja raised his right hand with fingers outstretched, each having a ball of light rotating at their tip.

~Beeewwm~

Five energy balls were released at once at the heavily distracted and agitated creature. Tisane saw the five balls converged into a bigger one. But one of the major differences now was that the ball of light was faster than before. So fast that Tisane could barely keep track of it with his own eyes.

The monkey creature sensed the incoming danger, but couldn't dodge or block in time.

~Boom!!~

It was like watching ten C4 explosives go off at once. Tisane could feel the slight tremor caused by the explosion and he glanced at the ninja with fear in his eyes as he wondered who was scarier, the alien creature or the ninja?

After the explosion died down, Tisane could see that the monster was in the center of a large and shallow crater. It looked gravely injured as five limbs out of the initial eight were missing from it's body.

'This is one tough bastard' Tisane thought as he saw the monkey creature still clinging on to life as it kept struggling with its movements due to the absence of some of its limbs.

"Why doesn't it heal itself?" Tisane had seen the monster regenerate it's flesh earlier, so he knew that it had this ability.

"It had engaged in an arduous battle for too long and so had expended a lot of its energy. To heal an injury of this level would mean using up the remaining energy it has left, which would leave it defenseless against sudden early attacks" the ninja calmly explained.

"Oh" was Tisane's short reply. He had a level of admiration in his heart towards the ninja who had the ability to drive a monster of this calibre to such a helpless state.

~Ding~

An oval shaped object appeared in the ninja's hand as he flipped it up and caught it in his palm.

~Skrrrk?!~

The creature had a look of high alert written in it's eyes when it saw the strange object in the ninja's hand. Due to the terrible experience it had while fighting the ninja, the monkey creature felt great danger from anything that comes out of the hands of the black hooded figure.

Seeing the reaction of the monster, Tisane knew that it was genuinely terrified which was in great contrast to the expressions of bloodlust and ferocity when it had attacked him earlier.

Without any further delay, the ninja threw the oval object at the creature. On seeing the approaching object, the monster knew it would only be courting death if it dared to counter or block the attack. As it's current energy level was right now, it had only one option and that was to run away with it's life.

But with the strange look of dilemma in the monkey creature's eyes, it seemed it had a viable second option.....oh what the heck, the monster had made up it's mind. It was now or never!

~Skraah!!! ~

The creature let out an earth shattering roar as its crimson eyes turned blue and it's scarlet body began to expand in size.

"Heuk!!" Tisane lost his footing and fell due to the blast of energy that was released from the monkey creature.

"What's happening?!" Tisane stared at the creature with terror written all over his face. The ninja kept silent as if he didn't hear Tisane's agitated question.

"Why is it acting like this?!" Tisane didn't feel discouraged by the ninja's silence but was wondering if he was the only one seeing the unbelievable appearance of the monster which was now as huge as a full grown elephant.
