Tisane was greatly shocked as he saw the incoming attack. Instinctively, he raised his arms to block.
~Splurch~
Tisane was sent flying as he left a trail of blood after him.
~Slam!~
Tisane was overwhelmed by pain that he had never felt before. Trying to hold it in was virtually impossible as the cry of agony left his lips.
~Ahhh!!!~
Glancing at his arms, he saw that they were both sliced to the point of falling off as blood kept pouring out profusely.
~Kieehkk!~

~Skraah!~
Glancing around, Tisane discovered that he was already surrounded by a group of monsters. Seeing the bloodthirsty glare in their eyes, he knew that even the ninja girl might not be able to save him this time.
'Am I going to die here? On a strange land? Without seeing my friends and family again?' The moment he thought about his family, the tears he had been holding for a long time began flowing out. As he felt the presence of his monstrous assailants closing down on him, he lamented.
'I don't want to die like this'

"That's him, that's him captain!" Agent Tolu quickly said while gesturing with his eyes. Glancing around cautiously, James set his eyes on a young boy who looked to be in his late teens. With a hoodie and black jeans with an average school bag hung behind his back, the boy walked past both of them in long strides.
Setting his gaze back on agent Tolu, James raised an eyebrow as he asked the obvious question.
"You sure that's him?"
"Yes captain, he was the courier for the senator Jonathan's murder case. I still have the photos that I secretly downloaded from headquarters database, here look"
Taking the smartphone that agent Tolu stretched out to him, James stared intently at the photos and did a mental comparison with the photos and the young teenage boy that they saw earlier. Seeing the inexcusable resemblance, he nodded his head.
"Very well" he stood up and glanced around again. "Let's go"
Nodding his head in understanding, agent Tolu also stood up to followed him.
"Walk 25 meters ahead of me" James said as he pretended to be making a call.
"Yes sir" Tolu nodded and walked forward as he kept his eyes on the teenage boy wearing a hoodie.
Few minutes later....
The teenage boy slowed down his steps and glanced around before walking into a seemingly abandoned building.
Few seconds after he went into the building, agent Tolu was seen walking slowly past the same building. After walking some distance away, he crouched down and hid in a blind spot of the building before tapping the comm device in his ear.
"Captain, I just followed him to an abandoned building"
**Any noted suspicious activity?** came the voice over the comm.
"Not really captain, but I see a couple of cars parked outside the building"
**Alright then don't do anything, am coming to you now**
"Yes captain" Agent Tolu brought out his smartphone to take some pictures when he felt the nozzle of a gun at the back of his head. His heart skipped a beat as he knew that he had been found out.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?" The wielder of the gun interrogated.
Agent Tolu obviously couldn't answer that question. His mind raced through the best possible action to take when he heard the wielder of the gun threw the same question but this time with growing anger in his voice.
"I said who the hell are you and what are you doing here?!"
Still maintaining his silence, agent Tolu grew nervous as he knew that he couldn't keep silent forever.
"I am not going to ask you again, If you don't answer me in the next two seconds, am going to....heok!!"
Agent Tolu heard a gasp from his assailant followed by a collapsing thud. Turning back swiftly, he saw a middle aged man with a black jacket and trousers sprawled on the floor. Before he could get confused, he saw captain James walking forward with an electric gun in hand. The electric gun was more like a tranquilizer but with instantaneous effects.
"Captain!" Tolu felt he just saw his saviour.
"You okay?" James bent and picked up the assailant's gun and shoved it at the back of his trousers.
"Yes captain" Tolu also bent down as they both searched through the assailant's body only to find some cash and condoms.
"What should we do with him?" Tolu asked after they were through with their search.
"He won't be awake for an hour. Let's just keep him tied up and hidden" James said.
After taking care of the unconscious assailant, James and Tolu remained hidden while they took photos and waited for the young teenage boy to come out. Few minutes into their waiting, they both sighted two more cars coming towards the building. After the cars parked in front of the building, the doors opened and some men in suits came out.
"Who the hell are these guys?" Tolu asked as they both watched the men in suits opened the booth of their cars and brought out guns.
"Captain, these guys don't look like your average sit and talk gangsters"
"Hmm" James nodded as his eyes gleamed with understanding.
After the men who fully armed themselves walked into the building, James dashed forward as he beckoned to Tolu "Come on".
Rushing towards the cars, James pulled out a black military grade knife as he sliced through the tires which produced the wheezing sound of air gushing out.
"Deflate the tires of these cars, except that one" he instructed and pointed out a particular car to Tolu.
"Understood sir" Tolu affirmed as he took out his dagger and followed James' instruction.
"Those guys are mafia minions" James said immediately they finished deflating the tires of all the cars present except one.
"The mafia!" Tolu's eyes widened with a hint of fear. After all, the mafia were one of the known overlords of the underworld organization. Even the country's military intelligence could only lay low and be passive when the mafia is involved.
"Captain what do you suggest we do?"
"Am going in. I need you to stay here to warn me about enemy reinforcements" James quickly stated.
"What?!" Tolu stared in shock "Captain you can't go in there alone"
"I have to. That teenage kid has to live cos he has vital information that we need"
"Then let me go with you"
"No agent. If we go in there and enemy reinforcements arrive without our knowledge, we would be dead for sure. We need a way out in case this goes south" Then James gave Tolu a serious stare "Can I trust you to do this Tolu?"
Feeling the intensity of that gaze, Tolu realized that captain James was taking a huge risk and he was depending on Tolu to pull him out in case he goes under.
'The captain is depending on me'
Nodding his head with determination, Tolu was resolute to have his captain's back.
~Blam! Blam!~
~Ratatatata!!~
They both swung their heads as sounds of gunshots erupted from within the building.
"Well, seems the party has started already" James said with a grin as he rushed into the building.

The ninja girl was on the brink of tears when she saw the impending demise of Tisane.
'No he cannot die' she became propelled by this thought as she forcefully rushed forward towards the helpless Tisane only to be intercepted by the lightning monster.
~Your opponent is me filthy human!~ Came the ethereal voice in her head as the monster appeared before her and swung it's axe leaving behind countless afterimages. The ninja girl tried to dodge and evade but suffered various deep and bloody cuts.
~Clang!~
Blocking the last attack of the monster threw her off balance as she was sent flying again. Not giving her a moment of respite, the monster dashed forward with a loud boom as it raised it's axe to finish her off while she was in the air.
The ninja girl knew that she would secure more injuries while trying to parry the monster's attack in midair but she tensed her muscles and pushed her senses to the max only for her to see a playful grin on the monster's face as it withheld it's attack. Using this as an opportunity, the ninja girl created some distance between her and the monster as she scanned through her injuries.
"Ah!!!!"
Hearing the painful scream from Tisane whom was lying in a pool of blood, the ninja girl felt her heart sinking to the depths of despair.
"No!!!" The ninja girl was about to lose all sense of reasoning as she saw Tisane in such a pitiful state.
'I must save him. I must, even if it's the last thing I do'
As she made her last and resolute decision, she took a step forward but halted when she felt a vibration from the long sword that she was holding.
'Huh?' She glanced at the sword, only to see that it was emitting a strange but familiar aura as the vibration increased greatly. Loosening her grip from the sword, she watched it shoot out from her hand as it sped towards Tisane.
The lightning monster glanced in confusion at the strange behavior of the sword but chose not to intercept as it flew towards the other human who was about to be devoured by its fellow monsters.
There was nothing to fear, after all the other male human was incapacitated and couldn't fight at all. The only thing left to do was for it to kill this female human and devour her as payback for the humiliation it received from her.
~Boom!~
As the monster was preparing to take down the female human with one final strike, a huge aura exploded forth, which sent huge shock waves all over the landscape. Swinging it's head backwards, the monster saw a huge pillar of blue flames that erupted right on the very spot where the helpless human male previously lay.
The monster's eyes were wide as saucers as it felt the humongous aura emanating from the pillar of flames. The pillar of flames lasted for a few seconds before dispersing, which revealed Tisane whom was in a kneeling position. He seemed to have been healed of his injuries as his body glowed with a strange and powerful light. Standing on his feet with the long sword in his hand, he took in a deep breath and smiled as his eye pupils changed from black to bright blue.
"It seems you growling douche bags haven't changed a bit" Tisane said with a smile on his face as he addressed the group of monsters standing before him. "Well allow me to teach you the meaning of despair"
With a huge bang, he dashed forward.
