Tobi had a strange feeling while he walked down the street, even when he moved into the isolated mainland section, this feeling refused to go away. Well he couldn't help it, ever since he was involved in the senator Jonathan's murder case, it felt like he had made too much noise in the jungle and had gotten the attention of some hidden predators.
Well no matter, cos he had made up his mind that after he had concluded this deal with the black hand gang, he would disappear for good and go spend his money in some island far away. For he was starting not to feel safe in this society of crime and shadows. Of course, it couldn't be helped. Being a courier in the underworld had it's perks. Understandably he gets to make a lot of profit but also, he has to keep looking over his shoulder as he has no one he could trust with his life.
Walking into the abandoned building, he tensed up and made sure not to show his anxiety. It wasn't really hard to adopt this behavior because it was something that he had been practicing ever since he started this crime business. The underworld gangs were like a group of rabid and hungry dogs. A smell of fear was enough to set them off.
The only reason he had survived this long in this hell hole was because he understood this principle clearly.
"What took you so long man? We've been waiting" an elderly looking man said immediately Tobi walked into a large room. Tobi studied the elderly man and recognized him to be a branch leader in the black hand gang. Glancing around cautiously, Tobi noticed that apart from the elderly man, there were fifteen armed men in the room which caused him to raise an eyebrow.
Noticing his expression, the elderly man chuckled "You don't have to worry Tobi, they are not here for you. Let's just complete our deal and you can be on your jolly good way"
'Not here for me?' Tobi wondered what was going on as he took the seat that was offered to him and sat down.
"Okay" the elderly man clapped and rubbed his two palms together "Shall we see the merchandise?"
Opening his bag, Tobi pulled out a cylinder cased object and placed it on the table. Taking the object in between his hands, the elderly looking man studied the object carefully.
"So this is it?" He asked after a while, with a hint of doubt in his eyes.
"You can test it out if you want" Tobi said with a blank expression.
"Really? How do I do that?" The elderly man had a hint of anxiety in his voice.
"Well you just take this chip and place it into this aluminum bracelet and then press the button. After that, you wait while it takes your blood sample..."
"Ouch!" The elderly man exclaimed "Are you kidding me? That hurts!"
"It's necessary for the device to recognize your biological make up" Tobi replied.
"Well you didn't tell me it was gonna hurt this bad" the elderly man whined.
Rolling his eyes covertly, Tobi tried to maintain a straight face. "Well that's past, let's move on"
"So what's next?" The elderly man inquired while staring intently at the device.
"Uh.....there's nothing else. The device is good to go"
"Huh? But I don't see any protecting force field. I was told that it activates a force field for protection" the elderly man accused with doubt in his eyes.
"Yes it does. But only if it senses that you are in danger" Tobi said still maintaining a straight face "In other words, someone would have to shoot you"
"Eh? Is that a joke?"
"No it's not. The device has automatic sensors that detects objects with heat signals or electrical energy"
"So you're saying that the device will help me to block bullets"
"Bullets, fires, low-level grenades, you name it"
As he began to grasp the reality, the elderly man's eyes widened as his breathing became rapid "And why should I believe you?"
"Because am sitting right here" this time Tobi raised an eyebrow as he spread his hands.
Seeing his calm attitude and confidence, the elderly man was reassured. Nodding his head, he gestured to one of his goons "Hey you, pull out your gun and shoot me"
"But boss, how are we sure he's telling the truth?" One of the men who had been standing close to the elderly man all this while spoke out.
"Don't worry Jimmy. Tobi here wouldn't risk his life with such a cheap lie. He still has a lot to live for" the elderly man said as he stared at Tobi with a smile; "Am I right?"
"Yeah" Tobi nodded in affirmation.
"Okay then shoot me" the elderly man spoke to his goon whom was hesitating greatly. "I said shoot me goddammit!"
~Blam! Blam!~
The pitiful goon pulled the trigger and collapsed in fear as he dropped his smoking gun. The entire room fell completely silent as everyone except Tobi stared wide eyed with their mouths agape. The elderly man was no exception as he watched two silver bullets frozen midair in front of him while an egg shaped force field surrounded him.
After thirty seconds of complete silence, the force field vanished as the two bullets dropped to the floor.
"Hahaha!!" The elderly man erupted in laughter "This is amazing, truly amazing. You've out done yourself this time Tobi well done!"
Seeing how the elderly man was overflowing with joy, Tobi smiled as he said "I take it that you're very much satisfied"
"Of course, of course!" The elderly man was smiling to the point of almost tearing his face in half.
"Because the price just went up" Tobi said suddenly.
"How much are we talking about now?"
"Two million!"
"Oh really?" The elderly man raised his eyebrows "In that case I'll give you three"
"Eh?" Tobi stared in surprise 'He actually increased the price not reduce it?'
"What? Are you surprised? You see Tobi, am not concerned about the money. But I have conditions"
"Which are?" Tobi narrowed his eyes.
"Well first of all, you give me priority as your major customer over certain products of my choosing starting with this force field device"
Seeming to think about it, Tobi raised up his head and said "That's gonna cost you. Like a lot"
"Do you see me flinching my dear boy?" The elderly man still maintained that huge smile on his face.
"Very well" Tobi threw his hands up as a gesture of giving in.
"Good!" The elderly man clapped his hands "In that case I-----"
~Bang!~
~Puff~
Before the elderly man could finish his statement, the door to the room was forcefully kicked open as half a dozen containers of gas bombs were thrown into the room.
"What the.....?!"
"We are under attack!"
"Protect the boss!"
As chaos erupted in the room, a group of men wearing gas masks rushed in with guns blazing. They made sure to gun down every member of the black hand gang. After almost a minute of chaotic gunfire, silence descended in the room. The only thing that persisted was the thick smell of gunpowder and the slowly dissipating fog of gas. Tobi was almost at the point of coughing his eyes out due to the thick fumes of smoke that he inhaled. His mind was racing as to what he should do now to ensure his life when he heard a thick voice barking out orders.
"Hey would you f*kers blow out this choking smoke! Am trying to breathe here!"
Squinting his eyes from the corner he was hiding, Tobi tried to make out the faces of the assailants.
'That's...' Tobi's eyes widened in shock as he recognized the face of the assailant whom was barking out orders. 'Baron Kabasa? What the hell is he doing here?'
"Kabasa you dog!" The branch leader of the black hand gang roared out curses while standing up from his place of hiding. "Do you know what you've just done?!"
"Ah my good friend Ajasa" Kabasa smiled as soon as he noticed the elderly man. "How do you do?"
"You still have the guts to ask me that?!" The elderly man was clearly boiling with rage.
"Of course" Baron Kabasa said nonchalantly, not minding the murderous glare of Ajasa.
"After all, we are friends aren't we?" Kabasa mentioned the word 'friends' with sarcasm and mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Bastard! I'll ki-----" Ajasa was already blinded with rage as he pulled out a pistol and aimed it at Kabasa.
~Blam! Blam!~
~Ratatatata!!~
After the two seconds of gunfire, silence descended again in the room.

The ninja girl stared wide eyed at the scene before her. It was quite easy to explain but hard to understand as well. Why is that? Because Tisane was currently engulfed in a terrifying aura and was slaughtering the group of monsters that were about to tear him to pieces just moments ago.
'This...' the ninja girl was beginning to comprehend what was happening as she felt her heart beat increasing. 'It can't be.... '
Meanwhile, Tisane could feel power that he had never felt before coursing through his veins before overflowing his entire body which made him feel as if he was being burnt alive. Also, his head was about to explode from the countless and strange memories that kept flooding in. All this lasted a while before the overflowing sensation and memories that invaded his mind and body began receding. As all this happened, Tisane could feel his consciousness slipping away and no matter how much he resisted, he just couldn't overcome it.
~Skraah!!~
~Kieeck!!~
The assaulting monsters were thrown into confusion as they couldn't understand how the weak human that was lying down in the pool of his own blood a while ago had now transformed into a monster far more terrifying than them.
~Slice~
With another swing of his sword, another monster's head flew off and the lifeless body fell helplessly. The remaining monsters could already figure out that they were no match for this human as they turned tails and ran for their lives.
"Hmm? Trying to escape? I don't think so" Tisane vanished with a boom and appeared beside a fleeing monster and swung his sword. Sensing the attack, the monster raised it's long claws to deflect.
~Crack!~
~Slice~
The monster still had a look of shock as it was dissected into two halves. With another boom, Tisane vanished, appearing beside another monster.
~Roar!~
With a cry of rage and nervousness, the monster unleashed an unexpected attack at the insolent human who dared to come so close to it. Only for it to strike emptiness. Tisane had vanished before the monster could land it's blow.
'Too fast!' The monster could feel it's heart falling into despair as the space surrounding it became frozen.
~Slice~
The sword went clean through as the monster was trying to figure out how it died. The lightning monster couldn't believe it's eyes as it watched it's fellow monsters falling to the blood soaked sword of their human foe.
~Despicable human!!~
The lightning monster ignored the ninja girl that it was fighting previously as it blasted forward like a missile towards Tisane who was busy killing off it's monster comrades.
~Die insolent human!!~
The lightning monster had appeared before the unsuspecting human who was busy chasing down one of it's fellow monsters. With a large ball of lightning gathered in its huge hand, the monster slammed down.
~Boom!!~
An explosion that was equal to that of ten C4 explosives erupted which left behind an impressively large crater. Thinking that it had taken care of the annoying human, the monster had a satisfied look on its face.
"Don't you know it's rude to interrupt a man when he is busy?" A clear and calm voice rang behind the lightning monster, making it to turn around in haste, only to set it's large and bulging eyes on the human it thought to have killed seconds ago.
~Imp---impossible! I obliterated you!~
The monster shuddered as it felt it was seeing a ghost.
"Oh really?" Tisane gave the monster a mocking stare. "Guess you're not as strong as you think you are"
'He's looking down on me?!' The monster came to a realization as its body exploded with a tremendous amount of lightning.
~You dare to insult me?! You filthy human!!~
The monster dashed towards Tisane at breakneck speed as it was trailed by flashes of lightning.
'Huh? Why is he just standing there?' The monster became confused as it saw that Tisane was not moving an inch from his position 'It seems am too fast for him to react. That's it, hahaha! Well then, prepare to die!'
~Bang!~
~Crash!~
After their collision, a huge shock wave erupted and in the midst of the shock wave, a figure could be seen shooting outwards, like a deflected bullet and crashing through rows of huge rocks. The lightning monster was dumbfounded as to what just happened. Finding itself buried among fallen rocks was too shocking for it to accept.
'I didn't see him move, yet I was blown away just like that' while it was trying to come to terms with what just happened, it heard the Tisane's voice.
"If you don't want to die too early, I will suggest you wait for your turn. I will come for you when I am through with the rest"
