Chapter 23 - The Path to the Mage Tower

After hearing the account of the horrors that occurred in the village and the suspicions about Thalrion, the king felt the urgency to take more drastic measures. The threat posed by a traitor transformed into a demonic being was too great to be ignored. With a serious demeanor, marked by wrinkles of concern and the weight of the crown, the king summoned Aria and Alex to his presence.

King: "The situation is more serious than we imagined. We cannot allow darkness to spread unchecked. Alex, I have decided that you must strengthen yourself, learn to materialize your aura as Aria and Aldrich do. For this purpose, I will send you to the Mage Tower."

Alex: "The Mage Tower, my lord?"

King: "Yes. There, the head of the tower, a mage of great power and wisdom named Elrendar, will guide you in your training. It is imperative that you increase your power to face Thalrion and any other threat that may arise. Additionally, I will take advantage of the visit to discuss with Elrendar about future constructions and the possibility of reinforcing our alliance."

With the decision made, the king immediately organized the journey to the Mage Tower, located in a remote region, where the sky always seemed tinted by the colors of dawn and dusk, a place where the veil between the magical world and the mortal was thin.

The royal retinue, with Aria and Alex at the forefront, ventured into the lands surrounding the tower, first arriving at an ancient fortress that served as the entrance to the mages' domain. The fortress, with its high walls and towers defiantly rising against the sky, was the first guardian of the secrets and wisdom enclosed in the tower. Crossing its gates was a reminder that they were leaving behind the known world and entering a realm where magic ruled over matter and time.

Guard: "Your Majesty, we have arrived at the fortress. The path to the Mage Tower lies ahead."

King: "Very well, prepare yourselves. This is only the first step towards a safer future for our kingdom."

Beyond the fortress stretched a magical bridge, an ethereal construction that seemed to be woven from light and shadow. Crossing it, reality seemed to distort, colors shimmered with supernatural intensity, and the air vibrated with enchanted power flowing through its arches. The bridge not only connected two points in space but also served as a barrier, separating the realm of magic from the outside world.

Alex: "It's impressive... I've never seen anything like it."

Aria: "Yes, I was greatly impressed the first time I came."

At the end of the bridge stood the Mage Tower, an imposing structure that touched the sky, its silhouette cutting the horizon. The tower was a beacon of magical power, its presence a constant reminder of the deep knowledge and ancient wisdom that awaited within.

They were greeted by Elrendar, the head of the tower, and his daughter Liriel. Elrendar, with his robes changing color like the sky at dawn and dusk, personified the mystery and majesty of magic. His daughter, Liriel, despite her youth, radiated a wisdom that belied her age, and her innocent suggestion about the creation of a magic institute for all races resonated deeply in the hearts of all.

Elrendar: "Welcome to the Mage Tower. This bridge you have crossed is more than a simple structure; it is a threshold between worlds, a reminder that you are entering a domain where the impossible becomes possible.
