"Valerie!" Julia shifted her gaze from the thermometer in her hand to me and reprimanded me, "You told me it was not that serious!"
"It was not…" I pulled the blanket to cover my chest and closed my burning eyes. "I don't think I can go to school in this state. How do I inform them that I can't attend today?"
"You don't have their landline number?"
"No, I don't. Even if I did have their number, I don't think it is right for me to freely keep using my mobile phone."
I heard Julia rushing out of the bedroom. When I opened my eyes, she was back with a large bowl of water. She placed it on the bedside table and asked while rummaging through the wardrobe, "Why do you say that? Did the alpha restrict you from using your phone?"
I shook my head as I watched her neatly fold a few washcloths. "No, he hasn't said anything about it yet, but I don't want to appear as if I am taking advantage of his leniency."
