Chapter 10 - Fathers Gift & Training

Vergil's POV

As I emerged from my state of oblivion, I made my way towards Father. Before I could speak to them, a figure rushed towards me – it was May.

"Young master, are you alright? Have you been hurt?" May said nervously as she began to check my body from head to toe. Due to the previous events, my clothes were in pieces, so as she examined me, she began to touch my body, causing my face to turn red.

I quickly freed myself from her grasp.

"Okay, May, I am fine. I have never felt better," I said, trying to soothe May's unease.

My father came to me, placing his hand on my shoulder with a smile that never left his face. I could feel that he was very gratified. I could still feel his worry even before.

"Well done, Vergil, well done..." my father said no more. These words carried the weight of his pride in me.

"Congratulations, Young Master Vergil," Gareth also came and congratulated.

"It seems, father, that I have overcome the wall. I believe I could advance any moment now," I said.

"Well, now you have completed your awakening, so there is no more hurdle for you. But, Vergil, you should refrain from advancing so soon. First, you need to consolidate your newfound power," Father advised.

"I know, father. I was also thinking the same thing," I said as we shared the same thought.

"Good, you were not greedy. If you had advanced back then, you would have an unstable foundation," Father said.

"Young master, I believe it's time to train," said Gareth, seeming excited about teaching.

"Okay, Gareth, take it easy... I know you are excited, but start slowly for Vergil," Father said, a helpless smile flashing across his face.

It seemed Sir Gareth was fond of teaching new talents.

"No, father, I have already wasted a lot of time. It's about time I start cultivating prana," I said, a little excited about my powers.

"Okay, but like I said, take it slowly. Don't burden yourself too much," Father said.

"As for Aura Art, you can decide which one you want to use after your training. You can go to the library and choose your Art," Father said.

"One more thing... here, take this," Father took out a sword from his space ring. Not everyone, like me, has a space pocket, but there are items used for storage and space ring. Father has one of the items that can store things, and as for its space, I am not sure, but most likely around the same as mine.

I looked at the longsword; it was a simple yet striking weapon. Its black blade was complemented by white inscription lines running along its length. The hilt, made of polished ebony, provided a firm grip, with subtle designs etched into its surface. At the pommel, a single white gem added a touch of elegance. The sheath of the sword was crafted from durable black leather, as it hid the sharpness of the blade. Its simple yet elegant design complemented the sword perfectly. A series of white stitching lines adorned the edges, adding a touch of contrast to the dark leather.

I took the sword out of the sheath. When drawn, the sword felt balanced and sturdy in the hand. Its edge was sharp, capable of slicing through the air with ease.

I immediately fell in love with this sword as I waved it in the air, trying to get more familiar with the sword.

"This is my gift for you. It was the sword I used in my younger years. Its name is Umbra. Originally, I was going to give it to you if you awakened as an aura user. As it seems now, you can have it," Father said as I played with the sword.

"Thank you, father. I love it," I said, unable to take my eyes off this sword.

"It also has an ability, but you have to figure it out yourself," Father said, being mysterious.

"Okay, I will take my leave. You can start your training," Father said as he left to do his duties.

I placed the sword back in the sheath and placed it on my waist. It felt awesome to have a sword. I have already changed the clothes brought by May.

"Young master, let's start," said Gareth.

"Okay," I replied.

"First, young master, let's start with the basics. I believe you already know a little about Aura, so I will skip on that. What I want to teach you now is how to release your aura and master controlling. Each person has a unique color of aura. As the Baron has a silver-colored aura, mine is golden-colored," Gareth started teaching me.

"Aura Release," as he spoke, a golden glow covered his body. I could feel the waves of power from him, enough to overwhelm a platoon of knights.

"This aura release allows your prana to strengthen your body, heighten your reflexes and senses. An excellent aura user can instantly release aura from his body. In a battle of equals, if one's aura release is slower than the opponent, he would be at a disadvantage. So, young master, your first lesson would be how to instantly release aura," Gareth declared my first lesson.

"Okay, teach me," I said, ready to learn this skill.

"Okay, first, close your eyes, feel your prana, and guide it throughout your body," Gareth instructed.

I did as he said, closed my eyes, and sensed my prana. I was already aware of its presence from the earlier fiasco. I sensed my prana pool, and I began to draw out the prana. It slowly flowed out from the prana circuit into my organs, muscles, and tissues.

"I did it," I said, my eyes still closed.

"Now, try to find small pores in your body, these are small pores scattered throughout the body. and try to push prana out of these pores " he said.

I was a little confused, but nevertheless, I tried finding these pores but could not feel any. I tried pushing out the prana from my body, and I felt small openings, but they seemed to be blocked by something.

"Young master, you should take it slowly," Gareth advised me.

I decided to take a risk as I slowly tried to release more prana from my prana pool and slowly increase the amount of prana. It felt like I was banging against a locked door. I released more and more prana, and after a certain amount of time, it felt as if the doors opened, and then I felt a surge of Aura outside my body.

'Boom.'

I opened my eyes and saw myself surrounded in a blanket of energy; it was violet-colored, just like the color of my eyes.

'So, this is Aura Release,' I thought as I felt great strength in my body and my senses were also increased. It was as if I had dynamic vision. I felt like I could blow up a mountain, but I knew that it was an illusion.

"I did it, Gareth," I said excitedly. I had done it. I looked at Gareth, but I saw he was in a daze.

"Ohh ... yes, young master... you did it, and in your first try," Gareth said incoherently

'What's up with sir Gareth' I thought as he was muttering something
