Chereads / The Rise Of a Magic Swordsman / Chapter 7 - A Possibility

Chapter 7 - A Possibility

After the previous accident I did not try to further attempt any more and went back to library as I tried to find more about prana as I have not majorly studied Aura users

Swordsmen, or Aura users as they were known, relied on weapons and excelled in close combat, whereas magicians served as long-range warriors, supporting the front lines. Aura users wielded various weapons such as swords, spears, and blades, with swords being the most prevalent choice, available in multiple forms like long-swords, great-swords, rapiers, and more. However, one's body could also serve as a formidable weapon, as seen in disciplines like boxing and Muay Thai.

I perceive Aura as a colorless ethereal energy and full of vitality, in reality aura has a color but depends on the user as my father has silver white, Sir Gareth has golden color May has Black color. The colors represents different traits

Aura strength human body it basically evolves it a higher levels making there body more durable and invulnerable and as they become strong the also develop resistance against magical abilities but still that is only for mages bellow them in cultivation

In order to systematically improve Aura users form Stars around there Hearts that provide them vitality and help them evolve without proper knowledge it could lead to overwhelming of there heart leading to heart burst that is why it is very dangerous. to rashly advance without sufficient control and understanding of there martial prowess and Arcane art

Arcane art for aura users could be a school of swordsmanship or Boxing that they work on improving and form a style each aura user have a unique ability that they have just like talents this is also one of the many reasons Aura users are more efficient in frontal assault of course many will say Mages are better than Aura user

"Strength is not determined by what you possess, but by what you do with what you have" I murmured as went through one of books 'Fundamentals Of Aura'

'It would seem that I need to re-cultivate as aura user until my prana becomes compatible with my body than I will be able to progress to junior mage and swordsman simultaneously' I thought it seems I need to ask Father

Looking at the clock its about time for dinner, After making up my mind I decided to finish up so I organized my notes looking at my notes they have become so much it would seem I could write a book of my own I thought funnily My mood improved by just thinking about the possibility of solving my conditions

After that I came out of library and went towards the dinning hall

on my way I met May

Third POV

"Young Master? I was about to call you" May said in a surprised tone as by this time normally I will still be in the library

"I finished Early this time and decided to take a break so.... here I am .... since you are here come with me to dining hall" I said as I smiled

"Young Master it seems you have made progress in your research" May said as she was able to see Vergil in good mood

"Something like that... lets go" Vergil said as he walked towards the dining hall

as we arrived at the dining hall My Mother was already there waiting for my father when she saw me she was surprised

"Vergil Dear you are here " Mother came to me and hugged me and pulled me towards the table

"I finished early today, since I haven't visited for dinner so I decided to make up for it" Vergil said guiltily as he felt he had neglected his family

"Ohh .... Honey I also know that you are under a lot of pressure bit still take care of yourself a bit" Mother said with concerns

"Don't worry Mother I will be careful next time" Vergil reassured his Mother

As we waited for Father, they start taking about miscellaneous things just passing time and enjoying our time as Vergil I tried to make up his lost time

soon I felt a huge presence arriving it was Father, he also came, he was surprised to see me as well

"Good evening Father"

Good evening Dear"

Vergil and Mother said

"Good evening" Father greeted

As soon he arrived the dinner started as we ate dinner father inquired

"So Vergil have you figured out" Father inquired

"Yes father I have some clues" Vergil answered

"So"

"I will tell the details after dinner" Vergil said

"Okay meet me in the study"

After dinner, Father, Mother, and I proceeded to the study, followed by May and Sebas, while Vergil headed to the library to fetch my belongings.

Vergil's POV:

I organized my thoughts on how to inform Father about my discovery, gathering my notes and the book into my Space pocket, as I like to call my storage space. Knocking on the study door, I heard Father's voice beckoning me inside.

As I entered, I was greeted by an atmosphere of regal elegance infused with mystique. The room exuded power and knowledge, adorned with rich tapestries depicting ancient battles and noble lineages. A massive oak desk, polished to a gleam, dominated the center, surrounded by velvet-upholstered chairs for guests. Softly glowing orbs provided illumination, casting a warm ambiance over the space. The walls were lined with shelves holding grimoires and scrolls, their spines adorned with gilded runes hinting at their arcane contents. Above the fireplace hung a portrait of the baron, resplendent in regal attire, seemingly observing every movement in the room. In this chamber of wisdom and authority, the baron presided over both mundane and magical matters, guiding his domain with a firm yet benevolent hand.

Father was seated at the main chair, engrossed in territorial matters, while Mother read a book and May served her tea. Sebas assisted Father in organizing the work. I approached the table and saluted Father with noble etiquette, hand on my chest, and a respectful bow.

"No need for formalities, Vergil. So, tell me," Father waved off my formality.

"Father, before I proceed, do you recognize this book?" I inquired, passing him the book from my Space pocket.

Father raised an eyebrow, acknowledging my display of control over the space element, but he didn't press further. He examined the book closely, his brow furrowing as he continued to observe.

"Where did you find this book?" he asked.

"In the library, of course," I replied matter-of-factly.

"That's not what I meant... never mind. I haven't seen this book," Father tried to brush off the question.

"Well, this book records an ancient civilization from long before the empire was established. It's written in an ancient language," I explained, rolling my eyes before detailing everything I had decoded from the book
