"Warm-ups are over. Gather round." Professor Brown called, His voice not raising in tone. He waited for us to gather around him. "The school has determined that you are ready to take your first field trip. During this trip, you will enter the forest. That is where we keep some monsters and beats that can not be tamed. There will be a set path for you to walk. Martial art's class will join you, to give added protection."
The idea of getting to go into the forest was great. Once I could go in Dawn could come with me. He would love it. It sucked that the field trip was next week. They were telling us to be prepared for it. As if more time would help us. If there were monsters, we would have to be careful.
"Uh, Professor. Why would they allow monsters and beasts in the forest so close to school?" Coby asked, his hand raised in the air. It was a good question. Why would they keep something like that around?
