There was something wrong with Dawn. He didn't look like Dawn. He didn't look like a horse at all. What happened to him? "What happened?" I asked, turning to look at Professor Balfour.
Professor Balfour knelt before me not answering my question. Not once looking into my eyes. When He did dragged his eyes away from Dawn, he didn't look at me. His eyes trained on the wall behind me. "What do you mean Dawn didn't wait for my magic?" I asked, again. My heart pounding, as all the things could go wrong. Dawn shifting behind me. He sat up more, to back me up. Professor Balfour was keeping something about Dawn from me and I would not have it.

"No. You will tell me now. Are you a teacher or not?" I growled, sitting up. Did they think I was a child that couldn't handle the truth? Was I that pathetic in their eyes?
He rubbed his hands together. Something he often did when nervous about something. "Lora, now isn't the time for this," He said.
