Chapter 23 - Uncovering the identity of the mysterious person

"Kweku, what has kept you guys so long?" Did Joe cause you trouble again?" Grandma Akosua voiced out the moment she saw Yebou and Joe approaching.

"Joe has always been known as the type to cause trouble wherever he goes while Yebou on the other hand is portrayed to be a humble and reserved type.

"No, Grandma, Joe didn't do anything. I had a small conflict with one of Ato's companions." Yebou lied with a straight face as he went on to pour the water down into a big basin."

He didn't want Grandma Akosua to become worried for nothing so he decided against telling her about the entire situation. "Alright, be careful to avoid them in the future when you cross paths.

I heard they are a very stubborn group with no respect for their elders. I don't wish for you to get involved with them." Grandma Akosua said heaving a sigh of relief.

Although Yebou seems to be younger than Joe, he has always been a careful person compared to Joe. I understand, thank, you Grandma." Yebou replied.

"Right, I forgot to ask you about your sister. Why didn't she come with you? Grandma Akosua asked. " Well, she is washing her clothes at home. She would probably come here when she is done." Yebou replied. "Okay," Grandma Akosua nodded.

About an hour later,

"Grandma Akosua, the basin is full, do you have any other empty basins? Yebou asked. Within just an hour, together with Joe, they had fetched five buckets of water each making the big basin which seemed to contain an infinite amount of water full.

" Kweku, That is all that I have! Thank you so much! Here sit down, Joe, go to the kitchen and bring the food. Grandma Akosua ordered.

Ding! Congratulations to the host on completing the mission.

Witnessing the happy expression Yebou was displaying, Grandma Akosua became pleased with herself as she thought it was because of her tasty food which was the reason for Yebou's excitement but she had no idea that she was mistaken.

Oframasi Police Station

Lance Corporal Barrack could be seen pacing back and forth. In the past few weeks, he had worked tirelessly in the hope of finding a lead to his investigations but no matter how hard he worked, he seemed to be blocked by an invisible wall.

"Knock! Knock! Officer Barrack was pulled out of his thoughts as someone knocked on his door. " Yes, come in!" he responded. "Kacha! The door opened and there came a junior police officer.

" Reporting to sir, we seem to have gotten some information that aligns with the requirement you set out regarding the mysterious person who assisted us by defeating the child kidnapping offenders.

"What! Where is it?" Officer Barrack asks hurriedly as he abruptly stands up. The junior officer pulled out a piece of folded paper from his chest pocket and handed it out to Officer Barrack.

"You may leave! Officer Barrack orders as he receives the letter from his junior officer. " Yes sir!, the junior officer salutes before heading out.

After the junior officer left, Officer Barrack wasted no time as he immediately unfolded the letter.

"Reporting to the superior, about 3 hours ago, there was a fight between a group of people. One part was a group of 7 youngsters with a man in his mid-twenties as their leader. The other part was two people...

The reporting officer went on to explain the events that led to the fight.

The other side was which was made up of two people, there was one who seemed to be less than 17 years of age. He had a slim build and dark hair. Officer Barrack became focused as he read through the letter.

However, there was a particular part that caught his attention. " The boy was extremely fast." I couldn't even get a glimpse of his skills when he moved. Before I realized it, the group of eight people were all lying on the floor defeated.

"Phew! It seems this report is similar to the ones I received from the interrogation." Officer Barrack exhaled as he thought. "I guess I need to report this to the Sergeant." He thought.

.........

"Kweku, how is the food? Grandma Askosua asked as she saw Kweku eating the food happily.

"Grandma Akosua's food is as good as always. Hahaha," Yebou laughed still holding onto a piece of meat."Yes, Yes, Grandma's food is so delicious. Joe added.

"Brat! Did I ask you a question? Grandma Akosua rebuked but behind the criticism was a sense of excitement and fullness.

After that came a period of silence as Groundma seemed to be interested in a piece of information the radio beside her was giving while Joe and Yebou ate their food without a care in the world.

"Oh, who is that coming?" Grandma Akosua interrupted the silence as she asked doubtfully.

Yebou and Joe lift their head as they take a look at the person who Grandma Akosua was referring to.

"Ah! Grandma, how can you not recognize Lizzy? Joe said. " Oh is that really Lizzy? She seems to be growing tall." Grandma Akisua replied."

"Don't blame Grandma, she is indeed blessed to be able to see this far at this age," Yebou commented.

"Yes, you may not know, many of my peers are either blind or unable to walk. But look at me, I can do both. It is truly a blessing. Grandma Akosua said weakly.
