Oframasi, Yebou's Home
.........
"Hello? Is anyone at home? I have something important to inform you about. Hello? Hello?"
Sergeant Quaye called several times but there was no response. The only sound he could hear was the sound from his echo.
The building seems to have been abandoned. There was no movement coming from within the building.
_Could it be that he is aware his identity has been exposed so he moved out?_ He thought. "fu*k!! my shi**y luck. I'm still too late! Besides, where in the world am I going to find him now"
"He could probably be in the next village or the next city. Perhaps he's on his way to the main city."
"I have no idea where to even start." Sergeant Quaye couldn't help but curse.
He has gone to great lengths to unravel this mysterious person's identity. Finally, when it was time to meet this expert, he suddenly disappeared.
The amount of pain and frustration he was currently going through couldn't be described in words.
" Ah! When will this my shi**y luck get better? I guess I'd have to leave it to fate." Sergeant Quaye mutters as he turns around and heads in the direction he came from.
"Right, I could still station some of my men here. Perhaps, he is lying low waiting for the matter to die down before he makes another decision." A sudden thought struck Sergeant Quaye. Immediately, he took out his phone and dialed a number.
.......
Outside Grandma Akosua's house.
.......
"Grandma, what is it that you want to discuss with me"?
After asking Lizzy and Joe to excuse both of them, Yebou could no longer suppress the curiosity in his heart. He immediately broke the silence.
" Kweku, I want you to take Joe along with you when you this village." Grandma Akodua went straight to the topic as she knew she had to do this if she truly wanted the best for her grandson.
What a joke. Since she is lucky to get acquainted with a person who is destined to become a mighty figure in the future, why not tap into some of his blessings by allowing her grandson to come under the entourage of such a person?
"Ah? Yebou was caught off guard. He would have never thought Grandma Akosua would ask for this kind of favor. However, he placed it at the back of his mind as he continued.
" But, what about you? How are you going to survive living alone?"
"Don't worry about me. Besides, I'm not crippled. Grandma Akosua replied with a forced smile.
" Alright! I'll take him with me. Besides, I've always treated him as my blood." Yebou replied.
"Thank you Kweku," Grandma Akosua said.
........
Three hours later, Grandma Akosua called Joe out as she proceeded to inform him about the decision she had taken on his behalf regarding his future.
"Joe, I have decided that you travel along with Yebou and Lizzy when they leave this village. Do you have anything to say? Grandma Akosua asked while looking the other way.
She couldn't look into the eyes of her grandson. She knew she would hurt his feelings by this decision of hers. However, she had no choice as she knew he would only get better by walking in Yebou's steps.
But contrary to her expectations, she received a different reply.
" I'll do as Grandma says. Joe replied smiling.
What a joke! After witnessing the incredible speed and strength Yebou displayed the other day, he vowed to follow in his footsteps. Perhaps, one day he could also get to that level.
