The doors of the train would slide open as dozens of citizens flooded the station within seconds.
However, a young girl would slowly step out of the train. Seong Kang. She was able to easily slip her way out of the crowded train station, making her way up the stairs.
Walking up, the bright sun shined on Seong's face as she let out a soft sigh of relief.
It was definitely much hotter than it was before. She thought.
Admiring the skies, a slightly deeper female voice than Seong would call out to her.
"Heyo, you must be Seong!"
Seong slowly turned her face to make direct eye contact at the female figure, feeling a bit shocked from how energetic this person was.
"Indeed I am."
"Great, the name's Kim Rian!"
Rian replies happily, gently brushing her white colored hair that was pulled up into a ponytail as it swayed gently.
Seong would wave slightly.
"You probably knew anyway. But you're my roommate for now."
"I knew. I just didn't think you would be waiting near the train station."
"Didn't I text you?"
Seong blinked in confusion as her eyes squinted in disbelief.
"Oh c'mon…"
Rian groans in annoyance.
"My bad… I think my phone notifications were off at that time."
"I guess. I can't blame you for it after all. I bet you've been stuck in that crowded train for more than an hour!"
"The seats were surprisingly very comfortable though."
"I guess that's fair… but moving on. Let's get you settled, kay?"
Seong would gently nod as Rian turned and walked away. Without any hesitation, Seong followed.
Huh. Maybe this won't be so bad after all…

Seong would enter the living room of the dorm, sitting down on the carpet comfortably while Rian sat on the large bean bag.
"Soooo…"
Seong would turn, facing Rian with her full attention.
"You wouldn't mind explaining how you got here right?"
"... Got here? You don't know?"
"Nah. They just told me I'd be getting a roommate."
"I see…"
Seong would slowly turn her face, debating whether she explains or not.
But even after observing Rian for the entire day, she was aware she won't exactly get away with anything unless the truth was told.
. . .
Seong was seen roaming around the streets in the late nights.
She has been roaming for hours after feeling nervous to return home.
But she doesn't understand why she feels that way.
Thoughts roamed inside her head as her hands trembled in her pockets.
Finally, She snapped.
An older man dressed up in a fancy suit was in front of her.
And she didn't even realize so.
"What are you doing so late at night… little girl?"
Seong looked up at him, clearly showing a bit of annoyance while attempting to keep calm.
"I'm heading home."
"Hope you don't mind me making sure you return home safely…"
Seong's eyebrows raised in suspicion.
"I'll pass."
Seong would walk past the man, only to be grabbed by the shoulder.
But within a flash, Seong roughly pushed his arm away.
"The hell are you touching me for…"
She glares at the man.
The man would step back, annoyed.
Seong would blink, smelling the alcohol in his breath.
"Do you know who I am—?"
"Like hell I'm gonna care."
Her voice sharpened. But her hands uncontrollably trembled in her pockets.
"Well you should, peasant. You know you're lower than I am, so why don't you just obey me?!"
In a flash. A small blade was aimed at the man's neck as it trembled uncontrollably.
"... Oh?"
"Stay away…"
Seong growled.
The man's lips formed a smirk before it faded away. His expression suddenly shifted.
"Help me!"
Seong's eyes widened as her hands continued to tremble uncontrollably. She opened her mouth, but all she could let out was a stutter.
Before she could defend herself, Seong was tackled to the ground by a witness who saw the conflict. Her head hit the ground as she was in complete shock.
Everything became chaotic. All because she pulled out the weapon.
"W-W—"
"Shut up! Remain silent until the police get here!"
Seong slowly looked at the blade that had easily slipped out of her trembling hands before her eyes shifted to the man. All she could see was his menacing smirk.
He was going to get away with this because she reacted first.
. . .
"Sheesh. That must've been troubling."
"It was my fault, I pulled the weapon out but they thought I was suffering mental health issues."
"Mental health issues? Seriously?!"
Seong would nod.
"At least moving here is better than going to jail."
It's actually a bit torturous…
Seong thought.
"Yeah. It's at least a bit better than jail."
"Of course, you're just a minor! Except for me. I just turned 18… now I'm a grown adult woman."
Rian's voice deepened.
Seong would let out a chuckle.
Energetic and comedic. Much the opposite than I was…
"Hey also—"
?
Seong turned to Rian, ready to answer any questions she had in mind.
"What's your gift?"
A Gift... People who were found worthy by a god and were gifted a piece of their abilities to follow their paths.
Unfortunately, Seong was one of them.
"… Good question."
"… W-What?"
"I've been gifted… but I just never got to know what it was."
"That's interesting… what was it?"
"It was redacted from me. I couldn't see the path or the name of the gift."
"Oh… that's kind of sad."
"… How about you?"
"I ended up being an S Tier."
"…? That's much more surprising than mine. I barely see any S Tiers that are your age."
"Yeah… I guess. I take the Euphony Path."
"I see…"
Euphony Path... People who were gifted by the Transcendent Sea have a higher chance of regeneration and bestowal.
"Mhm! Anyway, it's getting late. How 'bout we get some sleep now, Seong?"
Seong would blink before her eyes shifted to the clock.
11:36 PM
"… Right."
