"I'm aware of your little clairvoyant ability… Shibata." Constance groaned.
"I know you are aware… but out of your entire group… you are an interesting one." Shibata smirked as her aura slowly pulled Constance towards her.
Constance's eyes widened as she proceeded to hold herself back, forming a spear from golden dust as she stabbed it to the ground to keep herself still. But with Shibata's immense aura, Constance still slid slowly towards her.
"Don't be so resistant. You know you won't win any of this."
"Heh… I'm aware that I won't win any of this. I'm just giving some time!"
"Time?"
Constance held her stand as she continued to keep herself from being pulled by her while Shibata looked away, hearing a pair of footsteps quickly approach the area.
"Who did you send this time…?"
"I didn't send anyone. She came by herself."
"She—?"
A silhouette had quickly dashed in as she entered the built in force field that Shibata had built before quickly approaching them.
The silhouette, Seong, finally slid away from the darkness as she drifted towards Constance while her back turned to Shibata.
Constance could feel the weight of the air decrease rapidly as it seemed like Seong's aura had immediately cut off Shibata's controlling aura, allowing Constance to stand up.
"Hope I wasn't late."
"A little late… but that's alright. I'm glad you're here."
Shibata's grin turned upside down when she saw Seong. Yet she wasn't angry. Her pupils made it look like she had massive tension between each other. Until it snapped.
"You…"
Shibata called out, her voice becoming raspy.
Seong turned her head as she looked at Shibata, her body still turned away from her. But the moment she spotted Shibata, her eyes had widened.
"… No way—"
"Huh?"
Shibata's anger was covered with another smirk with excitement while her tone and aura became unpleasant.
"I remember you… you're that little girl who attempted to assault my boss."
Boss… boss?!
Seong's eyes widened.
Now I remember… you were standing next to him… and you were so pissed off that you had to leave the room…
The vibe around them quickly became dark, leaving Constance confused as silence was becoming alarming.
"Yet you don't even know the full story. So who the hell are you to assume that I assaulted that jerk."
"Jerk?! How dare you disrespect Mr. Meguro!"
"He is nothing but shit."
Seong replied, her stare becoming daunting.
Shibata clenched her teeth, leaning forward as she wanted to attack Seong immediately, but she stayed in control.
Yet Seong could notice her irritation as she aimed the katana straight at Shibata.
Seeing the katana only signaled Shibata. Allowing her to battle with Seong. So without hesitation, Shibata immediately dashed towards Seong. Becoming faster and faster.
Seong quickly got into a crouching stance, but the moment Shibata was just inches away from her, Seong immediately launched herself away from Shibata, flying back as she prepared to be in a defensive position.
Shibata would form her dual blades as they were connected by a pair of chains. She swung one of the blades at Seong as it clashed with her katana. But being filled with anger, she would never let Seong have a single hit on her.
With a quick move, Shibata immediately swung the other blade at Seong's side, attempting to slash her hip.
Seong's eyes widened as she was quickly able to push her body back, at the cost of being pushed to the ground on her knees.
I can't let her win… I need a simple hit on her—!!!
Seong quickly tilted her head as she quickly backed up as Shibata threw a barrage of slashes at her.
Reacting quickly, Seong dashed side to side to dodge the slashes. Yet Shibata quickly adapted. She grabbed a hold of one of her blades before swinging it underneath as the tip of the blade slit Seong's stomach.
"GRGH-!!"
Seong shouted out, but before she could proceed to dodge Shibata's next strike, the blade that had slit Seong's stomach had wrapped its chain tightly around her left arm.
Seong's eyes widened as she was immediately pulled towards Shibata as she swung her other blade down at Seong. However, Seong quickly parried using her katana before landing a sidekick to her chest.
Shibata slid back, holding her chest in slight pain as she groaned. Seong took the chance to dash towards her, seeing her guard down as Seong quickly raised her arms up for a downward slash.
"Seong, wait!! That katana is too dull!"
Seong's eyes shifted up to the blade of her katana as her calm expression was knocked off with surprise.
But it was too late, Seong had swung the katana down at Shibata's neck. The moment it hit Shibata's neck, the blade of the katana snapped in half. Barely cutting her neck as Seong slid past her.
!!!!!
Shibata turned to face Seong's back again, chuckling as she saw her shocked expression.
"No way…" Seong whispered, staring at the broken bladed katana.
"Weaponless?"
Seong looked at Shibata, irritated as she still proceeded to get into stance with the broken katana.
"That katana won't do anything on me, y'know… it's broken and ugly. Yet ugly things shouldn't even exist."
"Insulting a sword…? That's a new record for you even though you're only talking about yourself."
"Wh—"
"Nothing. I'll just show you that even the ugliest things can become the prettiest views."
Shibata would slowly smirk, taking on the challenge as she'd spread her arms out. Seong's expression shifted into confusion as a bright light shined into her vision, blinding her for a few seconds.
!!!
Seong would close her eyes before opening them as the bright light had disappeared. Yet she only found herself in a black void that was only lit up by a pinkish white light from above.
What the… where am I—?
"Like the void? I hope you'll get used to it because you're not leaving here until you're dead."
Seong would look up as she could see Shibata, floating above her.
"You assume waaaay too much to the point it's too repetitive. I wonder how Mr. Meguro can even deal with you."
"Shut up! For a little girl like you, you're just a coward full of shitty words! Where are your manners?!"
"Don't need to show them if I don't get the same back."
"You little!— Ugh whatever! I'm gonna END THIS NOW!" Shibata screamed.
Seong would get into stance, floating in the middle of the void as she prepared for anything that could happen.
Yet in the corner of her eyes, she could see the void slowly forming into a place full of treasures.
What the… what the hell is all of this treasure for? Is this some kind of thing I should take note of—?
Seong would quickly look around the void as Shibata quickly dived down at her. Knowing her observation would end soon, Seong closed her eyes. Inhaling before exhaling as she opened them.
Her eyes immediately met Shibata's as she threw a cross slash at Seong. Yet, Seong luckily raised her leg up to interfere with the blades, stopping them in place before pushing herself far away enough from the heavyweight of the blades.
But as she was able to slip away, Seong could see chains surrounding the void. The wrapping chains caught her guard, keeping her distracted for a simple moment before Seong flinched.
She looked at her shoulder as she felt a slight pain. Thinking she may have sprained her shoulder, it was much more difficult. Blood was flowing out of her shoulder as there was a large cut.
What the—!!!
Seong would be knocked up as one of the blades from Shibata had attacked her, slashing her arm. Yet it all felt like a blur as she couldn't even spot it from afar.
Shit…!
Seong would look behind, yet the blades would continuously go different ways without letting off a single pattern for her to analyze. Slashing her on her body parts as she screamed out in pain.
The blades would suddenly stop, leaving a pause as Seong fell backwards into the void. Meanwhile Shibata stood, floating meters above Seong as she laughed at her lack of strength.
Tch… I can't die here… not yet… I have a life to return to—!
Die?
…? That voice— it's you again!
Indeed. But it's a very bold assumption that you're going to die. I've kept my promises… Now you need to be alive to keep them.
…You're right…
I always am.
…But if I need to be alive, you'll need to do bigger things.
I already have… young one.
Open your eyes… and imagine the truth that only you can see.
