I have always wanted to find my mate. Being mated has been talked about with everyone in the pack. The teachers in this pack always said that the Moon Goddess would only mate werewolves to other werewolves. I never believed that to be true at all. I have always thought that she selects the best mate for every creature; whether they are fae, vampires, or werewolves. Everyone would find their mates at a coming-of-age ball.
It is the 13 of August, and everyone were excited for the coming of age ball for all of the werewolves who have turned 18. However, in my case, I passed that age by a few years.Â
Being an unmated daughter of the Alpha Dimind in the BloodMoon Pack, I am seen as a disgrace to the pack name. So for their lineage to go on into the future, I need to find a mate. But that has not been easy for me since I turned 18, five years ago.Â
For everyone in the werewolf packs, turning 18 is a huge opportunity. On your 18th birthday, your scent appears more fragrant. But the only one who smells it is your true mate. Five years had passed since my 18th birthday, and each day I got more upset about not finding my mate. So I gave up entirely on the idea that I would have a family of my own.
I am 23 years old and had no mate until the day that was expected and unexpected. But who knew that one day would change my whole life? Now here is my story.
It all started on the 15th of August; the day I met him. But let me take you to the beginning of how we met. It was a very hectic day. Everybody in the ballroom was very excited that they had found their mate. But seeing them with happy faces, I could not take it. So I decided to take a stroll through the garden, and standing in the most elegant suit was not a werewolf, but a vampire. He would end up being the most important one for me.Â
Let me take you to the beginning of that fateful day.

I was calmly reading an erotic story when I heard someone yelling my name. "Anna!"Â
While sitting in the soft plush chair by the window, there was a creak in my bedroom door. Who could be entering my room unannounced? I slowly turned to notice my mother; the Luna of the BloodMoon Pack: coming running towards me.Â
"Mother!? What are you doing here!?" I asked her, surprised that she just entered my room without knocking and asking.
"I just wanted to let you know that there is going to be a mating ball, where all of the werewolves; both male and female: hang out and find their mate. I already signed you up. So now it is time for you to get dressed for it." She said happily, hoping that I would share in her happiness.Â
"But mom! I do not want to go!" I replied to her, hoping that she would hear my plea. But it fell on deaf ears.
"You are going! At your age, you are like an old lady! When will I get grandchildren from you!?" She yelled at me because she was not a fan of how I lived my life.Â
"I am an adult! You have no right to tell me what to do!!!!" I screamed at her because I was angry and hurt that she would dictate how I live my life.
"I know you are, but this is the last chance you will have to find your mate." She said calmly, not wanting to cause more tension, since our relationship was strained already.
"Ugh, fine. I will get dressed and go to the ball. Just remember, that I am not happy about it at all." I said to her, knowing that if I did not agree, she would have done something despicable to make me go.
"Okay. That is all I ask, make sure you seem happy. Don't let it get back to me that you were angry." She said, letting me know for the hundredth time that I needed to make the pack proud, especially the family name.
With that, she finally left my room and shut my door. After that encounter, I casually walked towards my closet wanting to prolong the start of the ball.Â
Opening my closet, I noticed a dress that was not there before. How did it get there? I don't remember getting new clothes, especially this long sparkly dress. Let me call my princess maid. She should have an idea.Â
"Lucy! Can you come here please!?" I yelled for her, wanting to receive an answer to my question.
"Anna! I am here. What is it that you need to ask me?" She said while trying to catch her breath.
"I wanted to understand why this dress was in the closet. I do not remember buying it at all." I replied while holding it up and showing it to her.
"You are right, you did not buy the dress, it was your mother." She told me this, hoping that I would not get angry.Â
The impending silence got me thinking about how this could happen.
"Mother!?" As she heard me yell, my mother came running up the stairs in a rush.
She stopped right in front of me, all out of breath. "What is it, sweetie? What do you need?" My mother asked cautiously.
Why is she so calm? Does she not understand the problem that she is causing?
"Why in the wolf world would you decide to by me a dress that is not to my liking!?" I asked angrily, hoping it showed my displeasure of what she had done.
As I continued yelling at her, she did not become angrier. She replied calmly, "I got it because the outfits you had would not help you get a mate."
