Chapter 53 - Enchanted Forest!

"I cloaked him with my bones and blood," Urza said, leaving room for speculation and contemplation.

Bones and Blood? Liu asked, surprised. So, everything we heard about some of the supernatural things are real? I heard it's a painful process.

I have to admit, it was a painful process that took 21 days. Urza sighed.

We have always dismissed these stories as mere myths or legends. Jackson chimed in.

I couldn't contain my excitement as I thought about reuniting with my long-lost love. My heart skipped a beat at the thought of seeing his face, feeling his touch, and hearing his voice again.

Urza glanced back at us with a sad smile as he stood up to leave. "You'd be even more shocked at the things that are real," he whispered before disappearing into darkness.

As I lay awake all night, my thoughts were consumed by the desire for justice and the retribution I would mete out to those who took my husband and dear friends away from me for three years. The pain and anguish caused by their absence weighed heavily on my heart, and I was determined to seek retribution for the harm they had caused.

The pain I endured during this time was immense. The constant longing for my husband and the absence of my cherished friends left a deep void in my life. I found myself consumed by thoughts of what could have been and what could have been achieved had they not been taken away.

With each passing day, the need for justice became stronger within me. I wanted to find those responsible for the harm they had caused and make them pay for the pain they had inflicted. It was a thirst for vengeance that burned deep within my soul.

Nomo sat beside me, cuddled to my legs, his heart beating faster than I had ever remembered. In the early morning light, I had already freshened up and was waiting for Urza. A man true to his word, he and his wife appeared as fast as they had disappeared the previous night. Liu and Jackson were also ready, eager to embark on this new adventure.

Urza's excitement was palpable as he reached out his hand, not asking before I handed him the necklace. As soon as it touched his hand, it glowed a vibrant shade of purple, illuminating his face with a wide smile.

"Who gets sick of teleportation?" Urza asked, his eyes glimmering with curiosity. I chuckled and replied, "Thankfully, Jackson."

He handed him a bottle, which he downed in one gulp before beginning an incantation. As the last syllable left Urza's lips, we were instantly transported through time and space. We found ourselves floating among the stars, surrounded by the universe.

In the next minute, I fellwith Zhan's mom and Jackson. However, Liu and Urza did not land with us. In a strange twist of fate, we were separated and disoriented.

We plummeted through the sky, the wind howling in our ears. It was a disorienting and terrifying experience. All I could do was hold on to Zhan's mom and hope that we would be okay.

As we fell, I glanced around and noticed Urza and Liu were not with us.

As we continued to fall, Zhan's mom's hand reached into her pocket and pulled out a small necklace. She held it tightly in her hand, as if her life depended on it.

Suddenly, there was a loud thud. We hit the ground with a jarring impact, landing in a strange place. I looked around and saw that we were in an unfamiliar forest.

Zhan's mom immediately hugged the necklace and sighed with relief.

After a moment of reassurance, Zhan's mom stood up and searchedfor Liu and Urza.

As if he knew we would be separated, she sighed and pointed the necklace at me. "Urza will find us," she whispered, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

"He gave that to you?" Jackson asked, surprised. "I don't feel sick," he continued, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"I hissed, remembering the foul concoction he gave Jackson that was supposed to prevent illness. It seems to have worked," I replied, relief flooding through me.

Do we go left or right? Zhan's mom asked.

"Let's go left," I suggested, my voice filled with determination. "I have a feeling that's the right way to go."

We had been wandering for about an hour when suddenly, we caught sight of Liu and Urza walking towards us.

Thank goddess we found you, Zhan's mom exclaimed with relief.

We have been searching for you for twodays. Urza sighed.

That's impossible, it's barely been an hour since we landed, I replied in disbelief.

Urza's frustration was evident in his voice as he retorted, "You don't understand."You landed in a hypnotic oak forest where time moves differently. What feels like an hour to us could be days or even weeks here. I assure you; you have been gone for two days."

Goddess, are you okay? If you had spent another day here, you would be captivated by the allure and you would begin to forget about your life. I was worried about you. I'm glad I gave you the necklace. Urza sighed and kissed his wife.

I sighed.

You don't seem to know anything for a thousand-year-old hybrid. I'm starting to think you're not good enough for my son. Urza hissed.

"I will pretend like I didn't hear you," I mumbled, avoiding eye contact.

As we walked out of the forest, the darkness enveloped us, casting an eerie and ominous atmosphere. The moonless night seemed like a fitting backdrop to the tension that hung in the air between us.

Whoever created this universe did a truly wonderful and mysterious job. Just a minute ago, we were enveloped in brilliant light, but now, we are shrouded in darkness. Our surroundings change suddenlyand are perplexing.

The transition from light to darkness is truly remarkable. One moment, the world was filled with vibrant colors and radiant illumination. The sun, casting its warm glow, seemed to illuminate every corner of the vast expanse of space. The sky was a canvas of hues, ranging from deep blues to vibrant oranges. The air was crisp and refreshing, filled with a sense of joy and vitality.

And then, in the blink of an eye, it all vanished. The once vibrant scene transformed into a blanket of pitch-black darkness. It was as if someone had flipped a switch, turning off the source of all light. The air became heavy and oppressive, filled with a sense of unease. The stars, once shining so brightly, became mere pinpricks of light, their brilliance diminished by the overwhelming darkness.

The darkness that now envelops us is not just an absence of light; it is a force that defies explanation. It is a mystery that taunts our curiosity and challenges our understanding. Where did the light go? Why did the darkness emerge? These questions, and many others, remain unanswered, leaving us with a sense of awe and admiration.

In the dark of the night, we ventured forward, guided by our heightened senses. Our eyes, now adorned with the piercing gaze of wolves, revealed a hidden world that mere mortals could not perceive. It was an extraordinary sight, to behold the ethereal beauty that lay beyond the veil of darkness.

Suddenly, a voice echoed in my head, startling me with its intensity. It was Urza's voice. I have books you can read.

Despite his startling intrusion, I said"thanks."

Let's rest here and venture into the "barren borderland" the following morning. With a flick of his hand, Urza conjured a luxurious tent, and we each entered and settled down for the night.
