I couldn't remember what happened. The last thing I remembered was falling asleep. As I looked around, I realized something was unusual. The tent seemed too pristine.
Then it dawned on me that it had to be an enchantment. The spells surrounding me were unmistakable, and I could feel the gentle touch of a powerful sleeping enchantment.
I had to admit that it was a refreshing experience to wake up without any nightmares. It was a rare occurrence, as I often suffered from disturbing dreams that left me feeling drained and anxious. But this time, my mind was calm and peaceful, as if the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders.
Sleep Enhancement: Zhan's Mom Smiled
Yeah, I know you're worried about Zhan, and it will keep you awake all night. The boys needed to sleep too; they look like zombies. Urza mumbled.
As she giggled, for a second, we thought it was Zhan. My eyes watered, but I held back the tears, not wanting mysadness to show.
With a flick of his finger, the tent vanished from sight, and we began our journey until we got to the riverbank. Urza rang a bell three times, and a child with two heads appeared. Urza handed the child an old, rusty coin, and the 5 of us boarded the boat. However, before settling in, Urza asked us not to touch anything on the boat.
The water was strange, with colors that shifted and wavered like oil on water. As I stared into it, I could feel a chill run down my spine. The voices I heard were quiet and distant, as if coming from another world.
"Don't look into it, and don't listen to whatever it says," URZA whispered, his voice barely audible above the murmur of the water.
His words echoed in my ears, warning me against the dangers of the unknown. The water seemed to call to me, tempting me to uncover its secrets. But URZA's words held me back, reminding me of the dangers that lurked beneath the surface.
I turned away from the mesmerizing water, unwilling to succumb to its allure. It was better to leave the mysteries of the shrouded depths undisturbed.
When we reached the shore, the boat abruptly stopped, and we disembarked. To our surprise, the boat vanished into thin air, leaving us stranded in a desolate landscape. However, just as we lost hope, Urza waved his hands and a magnificent gate appeared out of thin air. It spun rapidly, gaining momentum as it slowly opened before us. Without hesitation, we rushed inside.
As we stepped through the gate, we were greeted by a breathtaking sight. The sky was painted in vibrant hues, creating a mesmerizing blend of colors. People laughed and strolled around, creating a lively atmosphere. Shop owners enthusiastically advertised their wares, enticing us with their enticing offerings.
The beauty of this place was unparalleled. It was unlike anything we had ever experienced before. The vibrant colors in the sky, the joyful laughter of the people, and the vibrant marketplaces combined to create an environment that was both surreal and enchanting. It was as if we had stepped into another world, a place where dreams come true, and imagination flourished.
Urza smiled and walked in the opposite direction. Keep close and don't touch or buy anything. It was evident from his voice that he was smiling.
We entered and came out of corners until we approached a big white house, almost like a cathedral. Urza's demeanor shifted. His eyes darkened and his fingers twitched, casting a shadow of unease over his previous smile.
Urza's hands continued to twitch, and his screeching voice echoed in the air. As we cautiously entered the house, we were met with a surreal sight—the doors and windows seemed to melt and vanish before our eyes. The once grand white house now appeared like a distorted nightmare.
As we entered a large room, our attention was immediately drawn to a scene that was quite unsettling. The room was filled with rows of beds, each occupied by people who were handcuffed to the frame. While some were fully naked, others wore only underwear or light clothing. The overall atmosphere of the room was disturbing, making it difficult to imagine that Zhan could be present there.
"Are you sure Zhan is here?" I asked, my voice slightly trembling. It seemed impossible to believe that Zhan, who was known for his gentle nature, could be involved in such a horrifying scene.
Urza remained silent, but his anger intensified. With a flick of his hand, all the handcuffs were released, causing a wave of murmurs and confusion among the people in the room.
As Urza walked straight ahead, my attention was immediately drawn to Yubin standing before me. Without hesitation, I sprinted towards him. Adjacent to his bed, I noticed Zhan, who displayed no reaction whatsoever. Ignoring his presence, I rushed over to his side and embraced him tightly.
The moment I held him, my voice trembled with a mix of emotions. I noticed his haggard appearance, his pale complexion, and the gaunt appearance of his body. It looked as if he received nourishment only once or twice per week. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I took in his current state.
"Zhan," I whispered, my voice barely audible. Despite his unresponsiveness, I continued, "It's me, Wang, your husband." Once again, he failed to look at me, and my heart sank at the sight that unfolded before me.
The scene before me was disheartening. The once vibrant and loving husband I had once known was seemingly reduced to a shell of his former self. His lack of reaction only deepened my sadness.
Yubin. It's me, Wang. I turned around to question him, "Where's Meng?" I asked, feeling curious. However, I couldn't locate her.
Cheng hissed; his voice filled with hatred. You killed her two weeks ago, so why are you asking about her.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
"Shapeshifter's," Urza hissed.
Zhan's mom ran to him and hugged him, but he did not react. When I looked from a distance, I noticed a gag in his mouth. Suddenly, Urza's hand snapped towards the gag, breaking it into pieces. Everyone in the room suddenly wore clothes. Urza pulled his wife away as she sobbed. He then held Zhan's hand tightly, causing his eyes to widen. The shock lasted for approximately 20 minutes, after which Urza let go of his hand.
Tears streamed down Zhan's face, but he still wouldn't look at me. My heart broke for him as I realized the unimaginable pain and trauma he must have endured. Only the goddess knows what he had gone through.
I showed him who we are and why we stayed away in the process. I showed him the pain and suffering we went through, the struggles we encountered, and the sacrifices we had to make. I showed him the consequences of our actions and the impact they had on his life.
And in the process, I witnessed everything my son and these people have gone through for the past 3 years, and it is nothing short of horrible. Their pain and suffering are etched into my memory, and I cannot begin to comprehend the immense darkness they have endured.
As I stand here, ready to embark on a dangerous and crucial mission, my mind races with thoughts of justice and vengeance. The mere thought of hunting down the individuals who have caused so much suffering fills me with a burning desire for retribution.
Are you ready to hunt? Urza hissed behind clenched teeth.
"Yes," Liu replied to Urza, his voice determined. "I am ready to hunt. These individuals will pay for the pain they cause, and I will ensure justice is served."
Jackson's clenched knuckles signaled his readiness to join the mission, his eyes reflecting the same burning desire for retribution. "We're in this together," he declared, his voice determined. "Those responsible will pay."
