The battlefield was in a frenzy.
The sound of clashing weapons and screams spread across the battlefield.
The barbarians managed to stop the goblins' attack momentarily, creating a stalemate in both armies.
At the back, where Frey was, they were preparing to release their wave of arrows.
"ARCHERS!" Kaesir shouted, as he transitioned between defenses and attacks on the front line.
"FIRE!"
As the sound of his voice ceased, the sound of many things cutting through the wind passed through the sky above Drake. Dozens of arrows passed over the barbarians, heading towards the goblin army.
With just one wave of arrows, dozens of goblins fell or were seriously injured.
But it seemed that the more goblins they killed, the more appeared. The goblins did not know fear, their bestial ferocity was being brought out amidst this chaos.
Drake was playing his role, just behind the front lines, dealing with all the monsters that threatened to break through the barrier.
The goblins tried to sneak over and under the barbarians' shields, and they came face to face with Drake's sword.
Swish
Drake's sword split a goblin's head in half, spurting blood and exposing the inside of its brain.
Drake was previously excited, but now, he was a little bored. Fighting in a defensive position was not his style. Few minutes had passed since the battle began. The barbarians were holding on well up to this point.
The goblins kept coming towards the forest, but the rate at which the goblins were appearing seemed to have slowed down a bit. Kaesir noticing, shouted.
"ATTACK!"
The barbarians who were in defensive formation suddenly rushed forward, with their shield wall pushing everything in their path, but not completely moving away from the long range warriors.
The shield-wielding warriors stopped some distance away. Now, the melee warriors allowed themselves to run madly through the goblins they had.
Drake sensing the opportunity, advanced.
Drake, stepped on the body of one of the squires, using it as a springboard, he jumped out of the barrier. Landing ahead, his vision found a field with over fifty goblins, and their number continued to grow.
Drake charged at the nearest goblin in front of him. His sword drew an arc, which seemed to briefly reflect the moonlight. Passing through the goblin's neck, he didn't even stop, continuing his charge.
Just ahead was a small group of 4 goblins. the one closest to Drake tried to hit it with his ax made of stone. His movements were predictable, but they contained a certain ferocity behind them.
With a small tilt of his body, Drake took advantage of his swing, sending his sword in a continuous attack.
Clang
With a small impact sound, Drake's sword briefly touched the stone axe, pushing it out of the way. His sword made a brief movement around his body, taking advantage of its initial momentum, only to return to pass through the goblin's neck.
The goblin's head seemed to lose its expressions momentarily, before its head was violently separated from its body, causing a small torrent of blood to gush from its neck.
The sound of footsteps rang in Drake's ears as the three goblins approached. Advancing, Drake took the initiative to kick a goblin in its stomach. His kicking power pushed the goblin, hindering the advance of his companion who was following behind.
Moving towards the goblin who was alone, Drake gave a small push with his feet, stretching his arm, sending his sword with a thrust, which pierced the goblin's neck. When on his back, the other two goblins were already about to attack him.
Spinning his feet, he took advantage of the force of his spin. His sword seemed to curve as it ran in a diagonal line through the two remaining goblins of that group.
His attack went through his enemies with a little resistance. causing their bodies to split. Their splitting bodies exposed their entrails and organs, which fell to the ground along with the pungent stench.
With this small test, Drake realized what his current limit was in dealing with the goblins. He hadn't used bloodline yet, but due to the high energy consumption, he should consider the side effect.
Turning his attention to the battlefield, Drake moved, moving forward in his assault on the goblins.
Wherever Drake passed, the swinging of his sword would create a mesmerizing sight of spilling blood, which surprised some barbarians watching.
Kaesir seeing the opportunity, decided to provoke to bring up the morale of his army.
"YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE TO A BRAT?!" Kaesir roared.
Slightly irritated by his provocation. In a unison shout, a few warriors charged forward, their war cries at the top of their lungs.
There were few warriors who ventured to advance into the goblin horde. Besides Drake, there were three Novice Knights and Kaesir, who was in the Intermediate Knight position.
Little time had passed since the small war began, but it was already taking a certain mental toll on Drake. For some reason, he had a feeling something else was about to happen.
The goblins' appearance rate had drastically decreased, causing their numbers to become smaller and smaller.
Drake was currently on the front lines, he was at what he considered a relatively safe distance from the forest.
The sky was already completely dark, meaning the only source of lighting was the silver moon. Looking into the forest, Drake saw that the darkness of the night created dark shadows, which among the trees, seemed to bring out a feeling of terror.
Drake stopped everything he was doing. There were no enemies around him, just the faint sound of fighting coming from some barbarians. He was looking at the forest with a serious expression. Whatever was there was causing Drake to feel uneasy.
Drake seemed to lose track of time, not taking his eyes off the darkness that snaked through the forest.
Thump
...
Thump
In the distance, a loud sound, with a constant rhythm, appeared to be approaching. It felt as if something heavy was walking towards them. Just the vibration of the sound of his "steps" caused all the leaves on the surrounding trees to tremble.
Some trees were falling as the sound approached. The trees surrounding White Bone Village were quite tall, some even reaching five, six meters in height.
From the darkness of the forest. Slowly, a huge dark green hand burst out of the darkness, pushing aside the tree that was in its path.
At the height of five meters tall, a head popped out of the darkness. Giving vision to a huge face full of scars and wrinkles. Spare pointy teeth protruded from the bottom of its lips. There was even hair, which was tightly pulled back.
His greenish skin contrasted sharply with his bestial yellow eyes, which seemed to shine in the darkness.
When the beast's eyes saw that almost all of its soldiers had perished. An expression of hatred took over his features, the brilliance of intelligence that he seemed to contain before was dominated by anger.
Looking at the small beings who stared at him in disbelief. The enormous being opened its mouth and roared towards the heavens.
"AAARRRGHHHHHH!"
The sound seemed to be causing wind pressure, which seemed to distort the air near his mouth. Forcing all the small beings to stop their actions and hold their heads, in an attempt to cover their ears.
Drake felt like the sound was ripping through his ears, his brain felt like it was being pressed from all directions. Forcing his hands over his ears and bending over he resisted, gritting his teeth.
A few seconds passed, but the roar seemed to never end, causing many to faint.
When the roar finally stopped. Some barbarians had already fallen to the ground with their ears bleeding and eyes rolling back.
Kaesir was relatively well for having protected himself with aura, but his expression showed terror. In the distance was a being that not even he had confidence in fighting head-on.
An Orc.
With heavy steps, the Orc stepped out of the forest, towards the little humans. His body, with muscles that looked like they were about to explode, showed itself, there was something like armor on one of his shoulders and something that blocked his intimate parts.
As he left, his right hand, which was lowered, seemed to be dragging something. Slowly coming out of the forest, little by little, a three-meter shaft appeared, with a blade of a huge axe, which seemed to be made of steel.
Drake seeing such a sight, snapped out of his daze. His survival instinct was screaming at him to run, but was there any chance of running?
Drake felt a sensation that made him feel nostalgic. The feeling of having the doors of death placed in front of him, where his only option is to walk towards it.
Straightening his posture, Drake looked around him, there were the three Novice Knights and Kaesir, all showing tense expressions.
In the back, many had already fallen just from the Orc's scream, leaving only a few archers who were further away.
Kaesir looked at his companions and said in a heavy voice.
"Our fate will be decided now" Looking at Drake he said.
"Will you be able to keep up with us?"
"I haven't given my all yet" Drake said with a serious expression, not taking his eyes off the Orc.
The Orc in the distance suddenly quickened his steps into a charge. The weight of his footsteps caused small tremors throughout the battlefield. Kaesir quickly reacted, leading his group.
"ADVANCE!"
Kaesir ran ahead, followed by three Novice Knights and Drake.
Only a space of about twenty meters separated their figures from colliding.
