Dominique gazed down at Kalina, her head leaning against the car window, her breaths even and steady in sleep. Carefully unfastening her seatbelt, he gently adjusted her head to rest against his chest, ensuring her comfort.
As he held her, a wave of admiration washed over him. She had faced the paparazzi alone, answering their probing questions with grace. His initial apprehension had been palpable, fearing the paparazzi might be harsh or intrusive. He had been prepared to intervene, to shield her from any undue negativity. Yet, to his relief, she had deftly handled them, her poise and charm making them eat out of her hand.
Lost in thought, he was jolted back to reality by Liam's voice. "We've arrived, sir."
Glancing out of the window, Dominique realized they were parked in front of his sprawling mansion. Carefully adjusting Kalina in his arms, he stepped out of the car, with Liam attentively holding the door open.
