"What kind of rules?"
"There are several of them which I can't tell you. Visiting is allowed but if you want to become a regular member of this place, then you need to sign a confidential agreement where all of that is mentioned."
"Ah." Zhao Yuhui sighed knowingly. It was better without knowing them. She did not wish to become the member of such a place.
"Do you want to visit other places?"
"No! No no...I think it was enough for today. I should be going now."
One look at Zhao Yuhui and the little junior was aware that she was not going to step foot in this place any time soon which amused her. "You don't have to be that wary. This place is not that bad, just the greed of some land them into trouble."
"Greed, you say? What kind of greed?" By this time, Zhao Yuhui and that junior were walking through the same path they came from to return to the music room.
"Greed to be one of them." Zhao Yuhui had calmed a lot by now and focused wholly on the junior. "The children of conglomerate families are young but of much importance and respect. Of all the girls who enter this place, ninety-nine per cent of them do so with the hope of one of the boys falling in love with them. Similarly, boys do with the hope of becoming close friends with them and hence, entering their group."
Zhao Yuhui didn't need to ask who 'them' and 'group' was referring to. "How many are they?"
"Four."
"Typical, reminds me of one the books I read when I was young."
The little junior laughed and said. "But no one has ever been able to get even closer to them. They have been friends since their younger days and kind of stuck to each other only."
Zhao Yuhui nodded as she walked down the stairs. Conglomerate families? She tried thinking of which ones it could be.
There were several of them but the only one she could think of was...Zhao Yuhui paused.
It can't be! This was too much of a coincidence. As if scared by her crazy thought, she held the arm of the junior to stop her from taking any more steps. She needed to get this doubt out of her mind to continue breathing properly.
"Which one is it?" Zhao Yuhui placed both of her hands on each shoulder of that junior, pressing them on way and forcing her confused eyes to stare deeply into hers. "Conglomerate families? Which ones are involved?"
"Eh?" The little junior was feeling intimidated all of a sudden, not understanding this abrupt yearning of assurance coming through her senior. "You mean from which families they belong?"
Zhao Yuhui nodded desperately.
"Xu's, Yang's, Liang's and Qin's?" Zhao Yuhui was comforted hearing the first three surnames but on the last one, she froze. And with that gone was the last shred of strength she had in her legs to stand straight.
Little junior was shocked by the sudden fall and brought her arms to support Zhao Yuhui. "Senior Zhao! What happened? Are you ok?"
Zhao Yuhui wanted to cry but collected her scattered thoughts before nodding and mumbled. "I am quite tired. I think I should go."
"Did you get that much of a scare hearing that Qin's are involved too? I understand even I was scared the first time I got to know. After all, they are very powerful." The little junior had a sympathetic look in her eyes. "But they are not that bad. As long as someone doesn't get in the bad book of theirs, they don't do anything. In a way, they could be said to be like you...uhm, I mean indifferent to their surroundings."
"Oh really?" Zhao Yuhui said blankly and silently made a mental note to stay away from this building. She hadn't yet gotten to know about the identity of the man from that night, but she was somehow sure he was connected with Qin's.
Not get in the bad books...she was afraid she had already crossed this basic criterion.
"I was planning to take you to the upper floors but you...leave it. Let's hurry back!" Zhao Yuhui looked done with the place, she can't take her there in such a condition. The little junior sighed and consoled herself. It seems like she won't get to see that place at least in this lifetime.
"Why? What's in there?" asked Zhao Yuhui cautiously.
"That's their place where they spend their time. I have heard it's quite luxurious."
Zhao Yuhui's brows furrowed seeing hope oozing out through the junior's orbs. Her
eyes squinted and she looked weirdly at little junior. "Why do you want to go there? Aren't you scared of coming across them?"
The little junior sheepishly smiled, "They have not been present for two weeks and would only be back after the new year. And since that is the only place of the university where there are no cameras, we can go there."
Zhao Yuhui understood her hint. "Why you never went there before?"
"Uh...it-it's, just because-"
"Is that a restricted area?" Zhao Yuhui cut her off sharply. "Yes or no?"
"Yes." Little junior meekly replied.
"Then we are not going." Zhao Yuhui bluntly announced. There was no way she would be going there.
"Alright. I was just offering to you." The junior shrugged.
At that time, Zhao Yuhui's phone rang and she received the call.
"Zhao Yuhui? Are you already here?" The mixed voices of males came along in the background.
"I will be there in twenty minutes."
"Call me as soon as you reach here. I need to escort you to your seat before going into the game."
"I am sorry, I would try to reach there soon."
"Ok."
Zhao Yuhui hung the call and said to the little junior. "I need to reach the basketball court fast so I would be going first."
