Chereads / Entitled In A Scandalous Way / Chapter 48 - Scores To Settle.

Chapter 48 - Scores To Settle.

Zhao Yuhui was startled, "I can spare another hour."

Xu Dong grinned at her and showed thumbs-up. "We will make sure to deliver a fun match in another hour. Thanks for cheering."

Yang Feiyu felt ignored and rolled his eyes. "Talk to your girlfriend later on. Let's discuss what's necessary right now."

Zhao Yuhui looked awkward as she watched the back of two men whose faces she had not been able to see.

Cheng Qi heard that and glared. "We are normal friends. And why should I let you participate? Haven't we discussed it before that you won't interfere in my business?"

Yang Feiyu sighed exasperatedly. "Alright, I apologise for misunderstanding the relation."

Why he always had to be so hard to handle? "Just know that I have some business with the captain of another team."

Cheng Qi raised his brow and then signalled towards Qin Lixin who had been leisurely leaning by the back of the couch. He hadn't uttered a single word since start. "What about him?"

"Even I don't know why he is here." Yang Feiyu muttered lowly. "Let him join as well. Our presence would not bring any disadvantage to you. What say?"

He gazed expectantly at Cheng Qi after presenting his offer.

Cheng Qi exchanged glances with Xu Dong who shrugged. It didn't matter to him who were the teammates as long as they win.

Qin Lixin grew tired and spoke. "Come on, we won't let you lose today. I also have some scores to settle with that man."

"You too?" Yang Feiyu was surprised. And he thought, his friend was here solely to support him.

The degree of annoyance Cheng Qi was feeling, he couldn't express it.

Though he had quite a smooth journey all these years as an advantage of knowing this group of friends, he had his own fair share of troubles too.

He wondered how that captain had offended these both.

Rubbing the area between his eyebrows, he spoke. "Alright. Go and change into the jerseys first. We need to talk about the strategies too."

"I owe you this one." Yang Feiyu grinned and went to changing room followed by Qin Lixin.

Cheng Qi gritted his teeth. "You owe me a lot!"

After both of them were out of there, Xu Dong hurriedly came to stand near Zhao Yuhui. "Are you fine? Did they say anything to you at all?"

"No, what could they have said?"

Xu Dong sighed, "Nothing."

Cheng Qi sneered. "They have to ask for a favour, they must have stayed silent the whole time?" He directed the question at his extra team players who nodded.

"Aren't they players too?" asked Zhao Yuhui with uncertainty.

All of them grew quiet and exchanged glances. Cheng Qi decided to speak, "No...just family friends."

"Oh."

Her anxious eyes looked up at him again. "You let them in the team so easily? Aren't you worried-?" Aren't you worried they would ruin the game?

"They are good players. We used to play together in the Junior-high and Senior-high."

"That's good to hear then."

"No need to be worried. Even if they both had been bad, us three could have still made the team win." Xu Dong proudly patted his chest. He wasn't worried about anything at all.

Rather, he was at chill knowing the unplanned players had decided to join them. They might not have been great friends, but they have always formed a wonderful team while playing basketball since Junior-high.

"However..." Xu Dong rubbed his chin, "I wonder what that captain would have done?"

Cheng Qi didn't want to prolong this topic in front of Zhao Yuhui. It was best for her to stay ignorant.

Their families already had trouble keeping this matter within a small range of people. As a precautionary step, Yang Feiyu and his friends were not allowed to beat anyone anywhere except for that stupid hell. And they knew, the captain of another team would never take a step inside that place.

Hence, they decided to beat this man in his way in the middle of the court. Not physically, but mentally. Sick smarts!

"Who knows? As long as it doesn't affect our game, let them be," replied Cheng Qi at the same time bringing an end to this topic. Suddenly, he felt glad Zhao Yuhui always had her face covered except for the eyes. Otherwise, it would have been pretty difficult for her to get rid of Yang Feiyu.

Inside The Changing Room.

"They could have at least provided a track-suit." Qin Lixin groaned staring at the sleeveless jersey he needed to wear.

"Will you stop complaining? You should be glad that Cheng Qi didn't create a fuss and openly objected to our request! It would've been hella embarrassing!" Yang Feiyu knew, in any normal case, Cheng Qi would have opted for the other option.

"He has been the only person we can never deal with." Qin Lixin muttered sullenly as he put on the jersey and glanced in the mirror to find Yang Feiyu looking at his own reflection with a vicious glint.

He pursed his lips before asking. "Why are you looking at yourself like that?"

"I am not going to leave that man."

"It's been three years since you have been running behind him. And every time he comes across, this is what you say." Qin Lixin was tired of hearing the same line repeatedly. Because of Yang Feiyu, even he was made fun of by that bas****. It was time to bring things to an end.

At this time, Cheng Qi barged inside the room. "I don't care what you do later on. Just follow the rules."

"You know if it hadn't been for your background, you'd have died a long time back," spoke Qin Lixin sarcastically.

"And you know if it hadn't been for me, you'd have fallen in trouble quite many times." Cheng Qi put up a fake smile before ignoring him.

Yang Feiyu pushed Qin Lixin aside from behind. "We know that, don't worry." He reassured and threw Qin Lixin a warning look.

"Break is about to get over." Cheng Qi simply stated and lead both of them to the sideline of the court where others were waiting.
