Freya walked forward, shortening the distance between herself and Kai. Her expression the same as frost.
"Why is she here?" Her voice was almost the same as a growl.
Alana swallowed as she stared at a completely different Freya, even far more different from the Freya that had been busy obliterating opponents like they were mosquitoes. She had seen the joy in murder in Freya then and honestly assumed she was sick in the head, however, she had no words to put to this.
Freya seemed uneasy.
"We need to talk to all of you. We already called the council, and they permitted us," his eyes darted to Alana, whose confusion was palpable.
"Permitted?" She asked, "what does that mean?"
Kai looked around; this was a job that should be handled surreptitiously. He beckoned them over with his hand as he started to lead them away from the others.
