Alana, for some unknown reason, felt as if she was the only one who felt the tension in the air. But as she looked ahead to her teammates, how quiet they suddenly were, how Ayra was not glued to Fjall nor how Cillian and Mordeu were not whispering to each other as always, she started to get the idea that maybe she wasn't the only one.
She sighed loudly.
"I cannot believe Queen Clarion could do such a thing," she said, halting the footsteps of everyone.
They had been on their way back to the training grounds from Alvitir's settlement. The road they stopped on was sandwiched by trees, the path was narrow. Kai stood at the front, his face turned to Alana as he waited for her to continue or for another to say something.
