"Steal?" Valda blinked her eyes in bewilderment, as if contemplating if he was being serious with his orders, but when she met his unsmiling gaze, there was no humor embedded in them.
"You want me to steal?"
"Well I wouldn't say stealing, since I'm the rightful owner of the book," he added, "but it was seized from me. I'll need you to get it back from where it's been held, and don't worry about the details of where you'll go, little sprouts will keep you company."
"I don't think I'm the right candidate for that." Valda shook her head in protest, "why must it be me? I just got here and now I'm meant to do an act I find completely absurd? Forgive me, but I'm yet to understand why you run this pact, and now I have to steal your book, for you. I don't trust this land of yours, humans are not welcomed here, and this book, if there's a chance I'll have to read the content then you'll need to find someone else."
