Indigo's P.O.V.
-"That night, under the full moon he and his friends shifted into something we only knew in fairy tales and movies, they became werewolves."
For some seconds my mind shut down. I was trying very hard to process these information. Still, I can't understand why would he be dangerous. Just because he is a werewolf? After some seconds I asked:
"I understand that he is a werewolf, and that might have frightened you, but still I can't understand why would he be dangerous to me. Just because he is a werewolf?" I just couldn't understand it. He says that he is dangerous but I just can't see why. For me, the fact that he is a werewolf is splendid. Just imagine it how cool it is to shift into a creature as strong as a werewolf! Jason's voice broke my fascination with werewolves.
"No, he is not dangerous just because he is a werewolf. He knew that I was following him, and he let me. He wanted to show me what he is, so after his friends left, we talked. He told me that he has been searching for his mate since he came here. A witch from his pack told him that he will find his mate here. The witch also said that he will have to wait for her for about 2 years,but she will be worthy for the wait.
But since he couldn't find her, his wolf was becoming relentless and instabil. Sometimes he would go insane."
"But how come he did not find his mate here? "
My interest started to grow by each passing minute.
"Maybe because she was not here at that time. And since then I have been thinking about it. Actually our relationship is a little complicated, we're not enemies nor strangers. But we can't say we're best friends who share everything with each other. Sometimes we talk sometimes we don't, but since that day he asked me to help him find his mate. And I don't know why, but I said yes."
"But I guess, since he was alone here, he still didn't find her. And I have a very crazy idea. Since he didn't find her up until now, I guess she is a little girl, around 14-15 years old. I mean our area is not that big, he should have found her by now. So I think this is the most logical explanation."
I think my explanation was very good, or maybe I just read too much fantasy novels about werewolf and vampires.
"Ahahaha, you really know how to make someone laugh! Hahaha!"
Ugh, he kept laughing like this was the funniest joke he had ever heard.
I thought about my idea several times, but it still seemed very logical. I couldn't understand why he was laughing at it.
After what seemed like hours Jason stopped laughing. He said:
"It was a good joke. But no, actually now that I think about it, there is something true about what you just said. He should have found his mate by now, which means she will come here from somewhere else. And when I saw you and him looking at each other like time has stopped and only you two existed, when I saw his eyes full of happiness and relief and maybe even some love, I understood something. My opinion is that his mate is none other than you, Indigo."
My mind just froze, I couldn't believe what Jason said. Deep down, in the depths of my heart, the thought that maybe I could really be his love made me very happy. The thought that I am the one for whom he had been waiting for so long made me happy, but this happiness soon dissipated.
I suddenly remembered my boyfriend, Leo. My overwhelming happiness was replaced by fear and confusion.
What if I really am Matteo's love, what can I say to Leo?
