Chapter 8 - Chapter 7 - Challenging Stabbing Blood

Peers are enemies, and the relationship between the three major mercenary corps of Hua Aures City had always been very tense.

The Stabbing Blood Mercenary Corps and the Coyote Fox Mercenary Corps were both veteran mercenary corps with nearly a hundred years of legacy, and had been battling each other before the rise of the Blue Demoness.

The rapid rise of the Blue Demoness mercenary corps hard in the two occupied market share in a share, at the same time blocked the way of the two, between the friction naturally will not be less. The way to solve the friction between mercenaries mostly directly rely on force, rarely able to sit down and negotiate calmly, because compromise is often seen as a sign of weakness.

As Tristie hyped up her body's fighting aura, Tony, Angus, and a few mercenaries made preparations to fight as well.

The other mercenaries in the bar who were close to the two groups of people had dodged to the side, lest they be caught in the crossfire. However, none of them left, all of them hugged their shoulders and held their glasses of wine, waiting to see what was going on.

Even the bar's owner, Nightingale, had no intention of stepping forward to intervene, dragging her chin behind the bar to watch the action.

Androgen excess mercenaries drink too much in the bar fight is a common thing, as long as no blade, not out of life Nightingale simply do not care, anyway, broken things to be paid for. No mercenary dares to rely on Nightingale's account, as long as her suitors of that year are still alive, almost all of them have already been the head of each mercenary corps level.

On the brink of Tristie's wrath, the door to the bar was pushed open again.

"Big sister Nightingale, why are you so lively here today?" Adeline, who was dressed in a gorgeous magician's cloak, walked in gracefully.

Nightingale's face immediately put on a smile, also a female mercenary, Nightingale and Adeline had a very good personal relationship.

"You're just in time, Tony the little bastard had a few drinks and had a bit of a verbal confrontation with Deputy Chief Tristie."

Nightingale scolds Tony for actually giving Tristie a leg up, trying to defuse the fight while he can.

"What a coincidence, Vice-Commander Tristie is here as well, let me buy the brothers of 'Stabbing Blood' a drink!" Adeline smiled gently.

Tristie had to put away the fighting aura on her body, the strong fighting power of an intermediate level magician could not be underestimated by anyone. More importantly with the addition of Adeline, his own party might not be a match for the Blue Leprechaun mercenaries.

"We appreciate Vice Leader Adeline's kindness, we still have the money for a few drinks in our 'Stabbing Blood'." Tristie snorted coldly and directly led the men towards a nearby table.

A fight just dissolved into nothingness because of Adeline's unexpected appearance.

"Who is this little guy? Your new magic apprentice?" Nightingale suddenly realized that Adeline was followed by a little boy.

At this moment, Arthur was dressed in a short green samurai uniform, with a pair of brown soft-soled cowhide boots on his feet, and a head of long black hair tied neatly behind his head with a green hairband, revealing a clean little face with a smile on his brow.

Not only Yan Ying, Tony, Angus and the others also noticed Arthur at this time, and one by one, their mouths were wide open in surprise. If they weren't following behind Adeline, they wouldn't have been able to connect this beautiful boy in front of them with that little orc-like Arthur no matter what.

 "Aunt Nightingale." Arthur greeted politely.

"What a handsome little fellow! Auntie would have been mesmerized by you too if she had seen you when she was young!" Nightingale reached out and pinched Arthur's cheek.

Arthur subconsciously dodged, but realized he couldn't dodge at all.

"He is the newly hired assistant of Big Brother Randall, and Big Sister Nightingale's barbecue is known far and wide, so I brought him here to see it." Adeline explained with a smile.

"Oh, poor little fellow, that Randall fellow is a strange one! But your Great Aunt Nightingale's roast will make you forget all your unpleasantness!" Nightingale wrung Arthur's face again before turning back to the kitchen to prepare something.

Adeline, on the other hand, took Arthur and sat directly at Tony and Angus' table.

Tony, still looking upset, muttered, "I really don't get why you're being so polite to 'Tracy', you should have joined us in kicking ass with the Stinging Blood guys!"

"What's the point of this kind of meaningless bar fight, even if we win, in the end, it's still going to be Chief Cairns who has to wrap it up? Tony, we are mercenaries, not those punks in the city, anything we give has to be reciprocated!" Adeline sternly reprimanded Tony.

"Uh-huh." Arthur nodded subconsciously as he kept stuffing roasted meat into his mouth.

Tony, not daring to contradict Adeline, reached over and smacked Arthur on the back of the head, "What do you know, you little thing?"

Arthur rolled his eyes at Tony after swallowing the meat in his mouth, "I think Ms. Adeline is absolutely right, even the orcs know not to fight fearlessly."

"Fearless fighting? You think I don't know those stupid orcs? They're always beating each other up when they're not doing anything." Tony reached out to hit Arthur again.

Arthur was prepared this time and slipped out of his seat and under the table in a flash, "They were doing it for the honor, competing for the title of the strongest warrior in the camp."

"What we are fighting for between us and 'Stabbing Blood' now is honor, the honor of the strongest mercenary group in the city of Juarez, so what do you think we should do according to the rules of the orcs?"

"Then challenge them fair and square!" Arthur said to Tony, crouching under the table and tilting his head.

"Challenge?" Tony froze slightly, then grinned wickedly, "Yeah, how about you challenge the Stabbing Blood guys on behalf of us Blue Goblins?"

"Good." Arthur got out from under the table and headed straight for Tristie.

"Tony!" Adeline glared hard at Tony.

"It doesn't matter, if this kid goes near 'Tracy' and the others, I'll ..."

Tony's words were interrupted only halfway through by a crisp voice.

"On behalf of the Blue Demoness Mercenary Corps, I officially issue a challenge to the Stabbing Blood Mercenary Corps, do you dare to answer?"

Tristie rattled her teeth, her murderous gaze fixed on Adeline and Tony, it was abject *shame* to have a child challenge herself!

"Don't act like softies, do you dare to answer the war or not?" Arthur repeated.

"Soft" was the customary term used by orcs to provoke each other, and to Tristie it sounded like another stab in the chest.

Tristie snapped the table, "We shall fight, Adeline, Tony, one of you come and die!"

"Captain Tristie, you seem to be mistaken, it was me who initiated the challenge, your opponent is me." Arthur said seriously as he looked at Tristie.

Tristie was instantly exasperated, "Did they send you here to die?"

"No, I volunteered. Please don't jump to conclusions until the duel is over."

The fighting aura on Tristie's body erupted once again, pressurizing Arthur's body to sway and take two steps backward, "Then do you know that I can easily kill you with a single finger!"

Arthur raised his fist in a fighting stance, "You can try!"

Tristie raised a finger, and the light green colored fighting qi extending from the finger was over a foot long, slowly stabbing at Arthur's brow.

Adeline, Tony, Angus and the others all stood up, they were too late to go over and save Arthur now even if they wanted to.

As if Arthur was scared silly, he was completely unaware of dodging the fighting qi that was stabbing at him.

Tristie had unexpectedly withdrawn her fighting aura at the last minute. If he killed a child here today, then he would become the object of shame for all the mercenaries in the city.

Tristie snapped her head up and stared at Aedryn, "Are you sure you want this child to challenge?"

"No, I'll do it!" Tony really didn't expect Arthur to dare challenge Tristie.

Adeline, however, pulled Tony, who was ready to step forward, and nodded slowly, "Yes, we confirm."

Adeline suddenly realized that the kid was betting, and he seemed to be halfway there ...
