Chapter 10 - Chapter 09 - A Shocker

Arthur covered his shoulder and got up from the ground, looking coldly at Bernie who was covering his eyes and screaming in agony as blood continued to flow from between Bernie's fingers.

"That kid actually won!" The mercenaries in the bar were all dumbstruck with a look of living hell.

Time seemed to stand still for a few seconds before the mercenaries reacted, and two of the Bloodstained mercenaries rushed over to hold Bernie and check his injuries.

"Leave him alone, punk! He's a loser!" Tristie screamed in rage.

Mercenaries valued credibility the most, no matter how angry Tristie was, it was impossible for the mercenaries of Stabbing Blood to abandon Bernie in front of so many people. Two mercenaries picked up Bernie and rushed out of the bar in a hurry, looking for a healing magician as soon as possible, Bernie's eyes may still be saved.

All eyes in the bar were on Tristie, humiliated, embarrassed, and in plain sight Tristie wanted to find a crack in the ground.

"Let's go!" Tristie couldn't stay at the Nightingale Bar for a moment longer.

"Vice-Commander Tristie, are you perhaps forgetting something?" Adeline, Tony, and the others stopped in front of Tristie.

"You've already won, don't go too far!" Tristie's angry gaze was fixed on Aedryn, his hand gripping his sword trembling softly.

"The boy's trophies, you're not going to cheat, are you?" Aedryn waved the staff in her hand in front of Tristie.

Tristie turned to look at Arthur, "Are you really going to take the sword?"

Tristie's voice was cold, her gaze sharp, and filled with a strong sense of threat.

Arthur's left shoulder was visibly deformed, blood oozing from within his shirt, but he didn't say a word, instead forcing a smile on his face, "Of course, it's a trophy I won."

"Well, here you go!" Tristie suddenly threw the sword in her hand at Arthur.

No one expected Tristie to strike suddenly, the longsword wrapped in fighting qi spun and flew towards Arthur at a fast speed, no one was able to stop it in time.

 "You're vile!"

Adeline raised her staff, the magical elements coming together quickly as Tony, Angus and the Blue Goblin mercenaries drew their blades.

No one thought that Arthur would be able to dodge this sudden blow from Tristie, and an ordinary bar brawl would immediately turn into a fight between two major mercenary groups.

But Arthur, as if he had expected Tristie's attack, fell straight back like a dead body, and the sword flew against his face.

The longsword slammed heavily into the wall of the bar, bouncing back and smashing a huge wine jar on the floor in the process, which showed the amount of power.

Seeing that none of the sneak attacks succeeded, Tristie snorted coldly, "Adeline, the humiliation that the Blue Demoness brought me today, I, Tristie, will double it sooner or later!"

Adeline skimmed her lips and wore an expression of indifference. Since Arthur was fine, there was no need for her to continue fighting with Tristie, so she withdrew her staff and got out of the way.

"Let's go!" Tristie was about to lead the men out of here immediately.

 "Wait." Another voice rang out.

Tristie's footsteps, which had just lifted, retracted, and she slowly turned around.

"Vice-Commander Tristie, are you perhaps forgetting something?" Nightingale was looking at Tristie with a smile on her shoulder.

Tristie didn't say anything, directly pulled out a gold coin and threw it to Nightingale, turned around and left.

Nightingale, however, didn't pick it up, and the gold coins landed on the ground with a crisp clatter.

 "Not enough, ten gold coins."

Tristie, who had just turned around, stumbled and nearly fell, "What? You extort! Are these tables worth ten gold coins?"

Nightingale sneered at Tristie, "The few tables Bernie broke aren't worth much, but you breaking a bottle of wine in my store doesn't count?"

"Is a jar of wine worth ten gold coins?"

Nightingale pointed to the wine that had long since flowed all over the floor and said, "What you broke was one of the best jars of golden pine wine in my store, if you don't believe me Chief Tristie can get down on the floor and taste it."

Tristie's teeth gritted, knowing full well that Nightingale was taking advantage of the opportunity to blackmail him, but he couldn't spare the face to get down on the floor and test the wine for good or bad.

"Isn't it just ten gold coins? I, Tristie, can afford to pay for it!"

"No, it's twelve gold coins now! The two extra gold coins just now are your compensation for insulting me, you can ask these mercenaries when I, Nightingale, have ever extorted anyone?"

"That's right, Big Sister Nightingale is the most generous!"

"Yes, Big Sister Nightingale hasn't fooled anyone!"

The mercenaries surrounding the area were happy to watch and sided with Nightingale.

Tristie face of grievances, but he had to knock out the teeth to swallow in the stomach, do not look at him as the "blood" deputy head, but also can not afford to mess with the nightingale this woman.

Emptying his own money pouch and those of the mercenaries who came with him to barely scrape together twelve gold coins, Tristie fled the Nightingale Bar in disarray.

Tony held Tristie's longsword and came to Arthur with a smile, "Kid, you've done a very good job! From today onwards, you are a member of the Blue Leprechauns, in the future, there will be something big brother Tony will cover you!"

Arthur just nodded softly, his face pale and his forehead already covered in sweat.

"Get out of my way, can't you see this kid is hurt?" Nightingale's obese body squeezed Tony aside in one fell swoop.

With skillful movements, Nightingale peeled back Arthur's blouse and cupped Arthur's shoulders in one large hand.

Sweat dripped down Arthur's forehead as Nightingale moved, his eyes closed and his brow furrowed, but he didn't say a word.

A scented handkerchief gently wiped away the sweat from his head and face.

Arthur opened his eyes to see Adeline's near face and encouraging gaze.

Arthur suddenly felt a coolness in his shoulder, and the pain was suddenly lightened.

Nightingale was smearing a black cream evenly over his left shoulder before wrapping it in layers of white gauze.

"The bones inside are cracked, so don't move around these days. If you find a healing magician, the recovery will be a bit faster." Nightingale twisted her head and said to Adeline.

 "Thank you, Big Sister Nightingale."

"Cairns has picked up a treasure this time, the boy is a born mercenary." Nightingale said and patted Arthur's face again.

Arthur lowered his head in embarrassment, a shy smile on his face.

"Kid, it's yours now." Tony handed the sword over once again, "You know, this Rare Grade Enchanted Longsword is worth at least 300 gold coins, and Tristie saved up a year's worth of pay for it back then." Tony's tone was filled with envy and even jealousy.

Arthur took it in one hand without looking at it and held it directly to Adeline, "Teacher, may I present you with this sword?"

 Adeline looked stunned, "Why?"

"It is too valuable for me to be entitled to possess it, or the means to guard it."

The surrounding mercenaries were in an uproar. How can such a young child understand the principle of "A gentleman is not guilty of any crime"?

"No, I asked why you just called me teacher."

"Didn't Aunt Yan Ying just say that I am your magic apprentice?" A wry smile appeared on Arthur's face.
