Chapter 16 - Chapter 15: Fishing in troubled waters

A large glass of wine accidentally flew out and became the trigger for the brawl. The spark.

Of course, the large wine glass can not hit the body of "silver eyes" Salik, Salik instantly punched, wrapped in fighting aura of the fist blade will be shattered wine cups, even the wine did not splash on the body of a drop.

But the splashing wine glass shards were like a sharp concealed weapon hitting the bodies and faces of the surrounding Coyote Fox mercenaries.

Two of the nearest mercenaries couldn't dodge in time and were cut across their faces by the shards of the wine cups, instantly sending out agonizing screams of pain.

Saleek was still trying to work out in the crowd who had thrown the glass when Coyote Fox's mercenaries pounced on him with shouts and curses.

Solich rushed at the front, and a cold light chopped at Saleek's face.

"Seek death!" A cold light flashed in Salik's sole eye, sidestepping to let go of the sword's blade, a copy of his hand lightning fast grabbed Solich's wrist holding the sword and wrenched it outward, and his other fist wrapped in fighting qi then solidly blasted Solich's belly.

Although there is an enchanted longsword in his hand, but only the third level warrior Solich and Salik have a not so small gap in strength, the intense pain coming from his abdomen made his face instantly deformed, the person flew backward out at the same time the longsword in his hand also spilled out of his hand.

The off-hand longsword grazed a mercenary's head and flew past, plunging squarely into one of the bar's pillars, the blade easily plunging in more than half a foot deep.

Just as Salik had knocked Solich away, two Coyote Fox mercenaries pounced on him at the same time, one on the left and one on the right. Salik raised his foot and stomped over one of them, but was also kicked in the waist by the other mercenary from the side, staggering back a few steps and nearly falling.

Saleek had just stabilized himself when Solich had already climbed to his feet through the excruciating pain. This time he didn't bother with his sword and pounced on Saleek with a strange cry.

Mercenaries weren't allowed to use weapons in bar fights, and Solich had already broken the rules, so Saleek came down hard on him and knocked his sword away.

Both sides of the mercenaries see the situation all swarmed up, tables and chairs flying, fists to the flesh, both sides suddenly crackled into a mess.

Although Salik had the battle advantage, the Coyote Fox's mercenaries had seven of them while there were only four on the Stinging Blood's side, and without being able to lay down a killing blow, Salik instead took several blows one after the other.

Fights between mercenaries in a bar were common, but large-scale group fights between two mercenary corps were rare, and the mercenaries surrounding the area followed the excited shouts and gulped down drinks into their mouths.

Nightingale had long seen this kind of thing, still lying on the bar and contemplating, the chaotic scene in front of her instead made her go back to her youth, back then there were also two small mercenary corps leader with people because of their own group fight.

The shouts of curses, the thuds of fists to the body, and the hoots and hollers were so loud that they nearly lifted the roof off the entire bar.

No one noticed that among the excited onlookers mercenaries there were also two thin figures, they were superficially just as excited as the other mercenaries, their shouts were not at all small, but their wide cloaks covered their entire figures, and the gazes in their eyes were unusually calm.

"Still you kid are smart to come up with a trick like that." Tony whispered as he kicked Arthur from below.

"I don't think it's enough, that's no way to make a big deal out of it." Arthur whispered back.

"Hey, hey, watch me." Tony let out a strange laugh and stepped back.

A bearded mercenary standing at the end of the crowd was padding his feet and stretching his neck to look forward, but the swaying of the mercenaries in front of him always blocked his line of sight, and he couldn't help but curse. At this moment, he suddenly felt a lightness behind his waist, and his entire sight was elevated at once, just before he had time to be happy, his person left the ground and was thrown into the middle of the battle group.

"Who the fuck made it bad!" The bearded mercenary was still in the air trying to look back for the person who had struck.

Before he could find anyone, he crashed into the back of Salik, who was facing a two-man attack, with a bang. Salik's body fell forward, and Solich and the other two mercenaries took the opportunity to rush up and deal a fierce blow.

Salik was beaten out of the real fire, the fighting qi on his body violently erupted, and at once, he shook several people in Solich away. Turning back around he was seeing the bearded mercenary who had sneaked up on him get up from the ground, a spinning flying kick sent him kicking into the crowd of mercenaries, along with smashing down two mercenaries who were watching.

"How dare you even hit me, there really isn't a single good thing in Stinging Blood!" The bearded mercenary got up from the ground, spat a mouthful of bloodied spit on the ground, and not caring about finding anyone else to throw himself out, he directly pounced on Salik.

"Let's go too!" The two mercenaries who were smashed over by the bearded mercenary also rushed up to attack the blood-stabbing mercenary.

Only then did Salik realize that he had hit the wrong person, but naturally he couldn't be soft in a fight, so he simply stopped holding back, his fighting qi erupted at full force, and he knocked over one of the mercenaries who rushed up to him to the ground on the basis of his rank advantage.

The bar was already in chaos, besides the three mercenaries who had rushed up earlier, from time to time there were mercenaries who were somehow propelled or thrown into the middle of the battlefield, and after being attacked they simply joined the melee as well.

The vast majority of the mercenaries' attacks were aimed at the Stinging Blood mercenaries, and apart from Salik, who was still holding on strongly and frantically counterattacking, the other three Stinging Blood mercenaries had already been dry humped and were lying on the ground being rounded up by the rest of the mercenaries.

"How about that, is that strong enough this time?" Weaving his way through the crowd Tony squeezed his way back to Arthur once more.

 "Then we're on too."

"Good, Salik has made enough of a splash today, I'm going to give him a hard hit!" Tony looked at Salik whose body was surrounded by white fighting aura with a cold light in his eyes.

"No, let's help Stabbing Blood!" Arthur yanked at Tony who was about to rush at Saleek.

 Tony just froze.

"Listen to me right, be careful not to let anyone recognize you, then we'll split up and retreat!" Arthur nodded vigorously at Tony and turned to move slowly towards the pillar with the enchanted longsword stuck in it.

Nightingale's brow began to furrow, she had a vague feeling that something was wrong, this brawl over a sword tonight seemed to be involving a bit too much, it had the appearance of getting out of hand.

Just then, there were a few pops, and the lights on the bar wall shattered three times in quick succession, darkening the room for a moment.

"Stop it all!" When Nightingale realized something was wrong, it was time for her to put a stop to the brawl.

"Ah!" A scream that pierced through the entire bar sounded almost simultaneously with Nightingale's gulp.

The fighting stopped instantly, and the entire bar fell silent for a moment.

Solich was slowly collapsing with his hands over his stomach, a bone-handled, straight-bladed short knife stuck in his stomach.

"It wasn't me, I didn't stab it!" One of the blood-stabbing mercenaries who had risen from the ground shook his head quickly, while the sheath of the knife he had hung on his waist was already empty.

Nightingale froze for a moment, this was no longer a normal brawl.
